Up until Big Show lost the title, the show was booked really well imo.

Call me bat shit insane, but I think Skip COULD be a huge star. He has a decent look, he has good in ring charisma, and he reminds me a bit of Dusty Rhodes with his turns of the phrase. Maybe not the best wrestler in the world, but I can see the crowd getting behind the little strut to splash.

Only problem is: the character is a bit too goofy. Seriously, while I appreciate the honesty, if he came up with "Cornfed Meathead" on his own, he's in serious trouble. If someone else gave it to them, they need to be soccer kicked into next month. Also, no one can come off as a threat wearing yellow trunks with "Cornfed" across the ass. Get some decent trunks and add a touch of an in-ring mean streak, and he could very god damned well headline 'Mania.

Goofy gimmicks aren't a kiss of death. They work just fine on the undercard.

Fair enough. I can see him dropping the goofiness when the time calls for it and getting that mean streak that'll make him a draw.

Think about Festus..."The Cornfed Colossus". He's fine right now.

My issue isn't with the Cornfed part of his name. It's the Meathead.

But at one point Gallows had to drop the goofiness.

Loved it again. Glad to finally get a look at Justin Gabriel (I had only seen highlight packages). I enjoyed Skip Sheffield as well. I think he could "be somebody."

I liked that Punk helped Young win, causing some friction between Otunga and Truth. And Bryan v Barrett was good.

And :lol: at Carlito at the end.

Basically I fucking love this show and look forward to it every week, despite being two weeks into the season.

When I said "problem," I didn't mean end of the world. I meant it is something that needs to be fleshed out somewhere along the lines. The goofiness they need to do something about eventually. Though, to be fair, Angle was goofy for a while and it worked for him as a ME'er. He is also one of the best to lace up a pair of boots. Skip should be a draw at some point.
