Flynn is going to land a big contract wherever he goes, I have no doubt about it. There will definitely be a team that overreacts to the 6 TD game. I'm not saying he's going to suck or anything, but I think there's a lot more risk involved. Peyton is obviously a way more proven commodity and as long as you have a decent offensive line I don't think his health is going to be an issue going forward.

CSL 03-09-2012 12:47 PM

yeah, Schefter was talking potentially $10m a year for Flynn yesterday, which is mental

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 01:02 PM

Ah the benefits of your free agent competition being Kyle Orton and Jason Campbell. Well until Peyton got released anyway

Kris P Lettus 03-09-2012 01:02 PM

I'm saying Cards (8 indoor games a year) or the Jets..

... Last night, one executive involved in this quarterback derby provided me these two words: "Watch Denver."

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 01:27 PM

Manning meeting with Elway and the Broncos in Denver tonight...

ClockShot 03-09-2012 02:32 PM

Please for all things holy, Peyton Manning goes to Denver. Make Tebow play second fiddle for a few years and learn.

Agree, its the Cassel situation all over again. At least in Cassel's case, he had a whole season worth of games to beef up his value.

While Cassel isn't horrible as a QB, KC doesn't have the same system or structure set up like in New England. They've been trying to change it a bit but so far hasn't been that great.

Innovator 03-09-2012 04:05 PM

Adam Schefter ‏ @AdamSchefter Close
As @MikeGarafolo reports, Giants are releasing RB Brandon Jacobs.

I would have considered Schaub at the top of the 2nd tier of QBs under that top tier, how quickly people forget him after the Texans had to deal with TJ Yates for 1/2 a season. You bring in Manning and you risk them struggling with a new QB vs being the favorite in the AFC next year with a healthy Schaub, Mario Williams and Andre Johnson in that piss poor division..

Earth Wind and Fire is just down to Fire.

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 05:08 PM

Well this should be fun day...

BREAKING: I have details of another big Broncos story about to erupt. Need to confirm one thing. Stay on CBS4. Unrelated to Manning.

Vic Lombardi ‏ @VicLombardi
Sorry. Cant reveal until I get confirmation. I'd rather be right. Should have something by the evening news.

Droford 03-09-2012 05:27 PM

The Broncos brought in Weeden from OK St, he had dinner with Elway and Fox.

Im willing to bet Tebow is out one way or the other.

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 05:31 PM

Actually they went to him in OK for their pro day, but that's just a minor correction. Like Weeden, wouldn't mind Denver taking a shot on him. Issue with his age is completely overblown IMO

LOVE Tebow, but Elway needs to just trade him. Deserves to be on a team that'll actually give him a shot, not just constantly try to replace him.

Two Broncos to receive 6-game suspensions for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Names coming shortly.

Droford 03-09-2012 05:35 PM

lol if one of them is Tebow.

that would be hillarious

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 05:38 PM

Ryan McBean and DJ Williams. McBean is a FA anyway I believe and Denver's been looking to trade DJ for the last two seasons anyway. Fuck 'em both

Droford 03-09-2012 05:40 PM

I doubt that makes the news anywhere..hardly big news thats going to "erupt"

Droford 03-09-2012 05:42 PM

Apparently Brandon Jacobs could have more time to pursue his TNA wrestling career since he just got released.

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 05:49 PM

And now TE Virgil Green is suspended for 4 games.

Requiem 03-09-2012 06:00 PM

Colts release Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark, Melvin Bullitt, Gary Brackett, and Curtis Painter.

Wow at a couple of those. Pretty shocked.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-09-2012 06:15 PM

And they are actively shopping Dwight Freeney.

What a time to be a Colts fan.

Skippord 03-09-2012 06:32 PM

lol apparently D.J. Williams got suspended for providing non human urine

Im guessing Luck is pissed that Clark is gone.

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 07:27 PM

Peyton still at Broncos headquarters with Archie and will be attending the Nuggets game tonight

Crimson 03-09-2012 07:41 PM

WTF is Archie doing there..Peyton's a grown man

Reavant 03-09-2012 08:23 PM

They fucking released Clark?!?!?!?! jesus christ!

Emperor Smeat 03-09-2012 08:24 PM

I think he's an actual legal adviser for both Peyton and Eli.

Had to look it up but he might also be a co-agent due to referring both to the same agency he was involved with during his playing days.

Colts also expected to release Reggie Wayne which will leave Luck with no real options unless they want to mimic what the Bengals did by drafting both a great QB and great WR in the same draft. Bengals got lucky that the Dalton-Green pairing meshed almost instantly instead of needing 1-2 years to develop.

Droford 03-09-2012 09:46 PM

If the Texans dont run away with the AFC South next season it'll be a shame.

The only other team that has a shot is the Titans, and they are barely a .500 team unless Chris Johnson decides he wants to come out of witness protection..

DaveBrawl 03-09-2012 09:51 PM

Peyton Manning in a Broncos jersey may cause me to openly weep for joy.

I still want Tebow, but who better to learn under than Peyton Manning & John Elway.

FearedSanctity 03-09-2012 10:40 PM

Manning staying the night in Denver and will keep meeting with the team in the morning

Also, Redskins trade three 1sts and a 2nd to the Rams for the right to draft RGIII

Corndad 03-09-2012 10:50 PM

Jets resign Sanchez long-term. Looks like only one Manning in NYC

RP 03-10-2012 12:43 AM

Heavy price the Skins gave up although the Browns were offering the same with the only issue being if they would extend to include a 2nd round pick while Washington didn't hesitate.

Now the Rams don't need to worry about Sam Bradford sucking with all the extra 1st round picks they have to either replace him within 3 years or improve the team a lot.

Crimson 03-10-2012 01:31 AM

Was hoping the Browns traded instead. Dont really wana face RG3 twice a year
