I wonder if this event will be a peak for GCW or just a stop on the journey. Either way I'm probably not going to be a regular viewer after this one, maybe when some more characters pop up.

GCW takes ECW's island of broken toys theme to the next level. Everyone there is a freak on some level, a misfit, cast out from society like many of the fans in the audience. I think they should stick with that instead of try too much to appeal to the main stream.

That said, Matt Tremont and Nick Gage can hardly call themselves athletes and this should probably be their last main event. Gage needs to pass the torch.

I just heard a recap of the show. Wow. Just wow. My inner monologue is going “HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!”, but I won’t say it. Just wow.

I would have loved to have seen the reaction from so many people: Tony Khan, letting his talent work there; Vince McMahon wondering whether or not he should even bother suing; Paul Heyman watching what people *think* is the spirit of ECW being carried on…

This is tremendous.

It really the spirit of CZW but yeah it seems people are finding that connection. The NYC venues though from what I know, are very strict on hardcore wrestling. I wonder if AEW would even have trouble pulling off some of the "gore" here in NY that they have done in other places.

NYC is such a great place for wrestling but GCW is really not a NYC company, it's a Jersey company and it shows tbh. GCW very meth fueled.

I saw him wrestle in Toledo about 2 years ago before the pandemic started in an indie company. He was pretty good then. Glad to see he is making it worthwhile.

He wrestled Scorpio on that awful H20 show I watched last year. Didn't seem like anything special.

Cool shots but a “Mulkeys or We Riot” sign next time would be appreciated.

That's a damn good seat for rasslin at Hammerstein.

i honestly don't think i could have had a better seat. floor would have been cool just to be in the mix, but the views from that balcony spot were fucking sick and i had room to get up and be rowdy all night.

I wonder if hat guy or any other ECW originals made the trip to sit up front.

vladimir and that one guy who used to wear the white bandana were there near the stage. jarrett straight choked vladimir when he was coming out lol.

Picturing RTD with a “Welcome Back Mulkeys!” sign all night and then just constant shots of befuddlement on his face for the rest of the show after they turn out not to be The Briscoes opponents.

Missed opportunity to forever go down in internet wrestling lore as “That one guy who seemed convinced The Mulkeys were gonna answer an open challenge in 2022 and then was completely confused when they didn’t.”

so next time i go to a big wrestling show with a great seat i'll take sign requests and walk in with like a dozen options ok?

Nah. Don’t take requests. Just have some Mulkey signs.

well i learned that i can paint in fonts this time around so might try my hand at a MULKEYMANIA sign in the hulkamania font...

And if I go to a big wrestling show anytime soon I’ll be sure to bring a “Ron Should’ve Mentioned The Mulkeys” sign.

I think that other than certain front row seats that you probably did have one of the best in the house that night. Really hoping that it was a success for GCW because I really would love to see wrestling at the Hammerstein now and then. It's been without wrestling since NJPW's last show there a few years ago.
