Read the link above, Ledger's is going to be influenced by the very early appearances of late 30s/early 40s, and I'd imagine some of the early 70s stuff as well.

Its not the classic Joker that we know and love, yes, but I feel it has potential. A psychotic lunatic who paints himself up as a scary clown with a flare for theatrics...

To me it looks like at some point in his criminal career, Joker was sliced by someone that maybe thought he laughed too much. Cut to make him look like he always had a grin. He's decided to use it as part of what makes him what he is. Calls himself 'The Joker', adds makeup, etc.

I just skimmed through this so I'm sorry if it's been covered but is Harvey Dent going to be a 2nd villain in this movie or is it just going to be a buildup for the 3rd one like they did with the playing cards at the end of Batman Begins?

And for the record Aaron Eckhart is a phenomenal choice to play Dent.

I am jacked for The Dark Knight, I wasn't big on the idea as Ledger as Batman, perhaps based on his Brokeback Mountain crap, his look is great, and he'll be all right! I was hyped for Batman Begins... I don't know if DK will be as good as BB but it will be damn close.

Brokeback Mountain? That movie that almost won the oscar for movie of the year? That actually did win the oscar for best direction and best screenplay? Yeah, that sure was awful.
