I liked to see the Hitman come back..but it was still a Raw..I am giving it to TNA tonight overall as a show..Hitman def. destroys Hogan tho.

Zeeboe 01-04-2010 11:10 PM

Ha. I felt for the Vince swerve like a mark. lol. Should have seen it coming. Anyhow, I was getting all sad, thinking Bret wasn't going to be back, but I am glad to see he will no doubt be returning hopefully.

This was fun! This was the first Raw I've enjoyed in a long time. :y:

Johnny Vegas 01-04-2010 11:11 PM

Dunno if it was a work or not, but something is telling me it is bc though a man may kick you in the nuts and though it may hurt, you will try your hardest to fuck him up.

dronepool 01-04-2010 11:11 PM

Besides Bret, RAW was pretty typical.

Arashi Kage 01-04-2010 11:12 PM

I didn't find the end of Raw to be worth the wait. Wrestling just doesn't have the "magic" that it once had.

When Vince kicked Bret, I thought that it was gonna lead to a stunner, but then I remembered, "oh yeah, Bret + bumps = bad".

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 01-04-2010 11:13 PM

This episode of Raw did nothing to encourage me to start watching again.

TNA, on the other hand...

Innovator 01-04-2010 11:14 PM

good raw, no cena

Crimson 01-04-2010 11:14 PM

Ending was fine. Vince seemed like he was gonna shed a tear .

Stealth-Icon 01-04-2010 11:16 PM

Vince made it too obvious he was going to do something to Bret. He had his devilish grin on the whole time.

Johnny Vegas 01-04-2010 11:16 PM

any girls wanna ch@t, p2p me

Team Sheep 01-04-2010 11:21 PM

It was obvious all the way. Bret's signed a contract until Wrestlemania hasn't he? No way the show was just going to end in celebration like that. Nicely done I think. I was expecting a cheap Vince clothesline and a beat down but that would have been a bit overkill.

The Pope 01-04-2010 11:21 PM

Why are you guys shitting your pants about that segment with Bret? It wasn't even that good. I mean, it was exciting but it should've had something else.
Everything else kinda was "same ole" RAW

They sort of gave away something would happen by having HBK-Bret start the show and not end the show. Wouldn't get the epic feeling of Vince-Bret since that was used up already on HBK-Bret.

FakeLaser 01-04-2010 11:28 PM

God wrestling sucks

Theo Dious 01-04-2010 11:42 PM

Just watched the Shawn/Bret vid. Very good segment, and it was just genius how Shawn was set up in perfect Sweet Chin Music position right there at the end.

RGWhat316 01-05-2010 12:32 AM

Kind of another mediocre RAW to me. Bret is nothing real special in my eyes, so I wasnt that into the segments. Only the first to see Shawn SCM him, but didnt happen. But there was more bad than good on this show. Jericho leaving RAW sucks, and Sheamus looking invincble by kicking out of the Air Bourne really annoyed me. Evan deserves better than this, should have never left ECW.

The MAC 01-05-2010 12:33 AM

Shawn should have kicked bret then got on the mic and said Welcome back hitman

RGWhat316 01-05-2010 12:35 AM

The best part of RAW to me didnt even happen on tv. Just hearing Danielson beat Chavo in a dark match. Maybe a RR debut or sooner?

V 01-05-2010 12:38 AM

seeing Bret come out was surreal, and other than HBK kicking out of the tombstone at wrestlemania, I don't think I have marked out for like 8 years... but seeing Bret call out shawn, and seeing him walking to the ring.. i felt like a 12 year old girl watching Justin timberlake strip

Jesus. WWE sucks so hard.

A.) Sheamus chose not to put his title on the line tonight,

B.) Sheamus won after making a promise to Evan that if Evan won the non-title match, that he would give him a shot at the Rumble for the WWE title. Now that will not happen.

I just hope to God Cena doesn't find a way to slip into the title match at the Rumble vs. Sheamus. I'd much rather see somebody like HHH or someone face Sheamus at the Rumble for the WWE gold.

My favorite part… amazement. I had goosebumps during the segment. Awesome seeing them bury the hatchet and hugging. Never thought I’d see it. This was the best night of wrestling I’ve experienced since late 1998/early 1999. It truly put a smile on my face to see Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels face to face again. My life is complete.

D Mac 01-05-2010 05:11 AM

Ending sucked. Surely this aint over.

SammyG 01-05-2010 05:15 AM

I missed this, but just spent the last half hour looking at the shit that went down on this, and on TNA, and I think it has potential, pretty sweet seeing Bret back

I agree. I actually pity the haters, but those kinds of guys have always been around, and always will be.

Best Raw ever in a long, long time. Bret Hart rocks.

Juan 01-05-2010 06:11 AM

So glad I don't have to read any more "Bret is not over it" posts.

The MAC 01-05-2010 06:13 AM

shawn michaels spent sometime whispering in brets ear during the hug.
It seemed like shawn was going to turn heel at the start of the interview. Shawn was also in position for the superkick but alas it didnt happened.

My feeling is that bret stuck to his word that he would never allow wwe to make a storyline of montreal. Everything we saw between shawn and bret was very real. Im sure they met backstage and worked out how to go about doing it. But the word were very real.

Bret and vince was also very real. Then the NEW storyline began.

The Mackem 01-05-2010 07:52 AM

OK done watching Raw. Good to see Bret back and the matches seem to have direction and mean something but something else is seriously lacking. Are the crowds as dead as what they seem to me because they make the shows awkward to watch in a sense.

NeanderCarl 01-05-2010 09:15 AM

Watch Bret's body language during the hug. There's no forgiveness there. Bret's just going along with it for the storyline. They needed to eliminate the Shawn Michaels shadow for a Vince/Bret feud. This is how they did it. That scene was for show.

Must be hard for Bret to swallow his pride like that. Part of me feels a little sad that Bret finally sold out on his word. Guess he could do with a cash injection.

The MAC 01-05-2010 09:41 AM

would have been been funny if bret said to shawn "right, get the fuck out of the ring, this is my moment" a receipt from WM12

This.

Never fails to amuse me how all of the so-called "smarks" are taken in by stuff like this.

redoneja 01-05-2010 10:33 AM

Glad we've got body language experts here at TPWW to clear that up.

NeanderCarl 01-05-2010 11:31 AM

Degree in Sociology

Didn't finish it, though... :-\

Xero 01-05-2010 12:00 PM

Bret was clearly uncomfortable and didn't want to do the hug. Carl's right, this is just for show. It's a work.

Really, Bret seemed broken and not wanting to do this the whole night. And I know it wasn't because of the stroke or anything, he genuinely came off to me as he didn't want to do it.

McLegend 01-05-2010 04:33 PM

If he didn't want to do it or want to be there why did he do it, and why was he there?

I truly have no proof one way or the other. Bret hardly ever showed emtion in his career and always talks in the same monotone voice. Kind of hard to guage that type of person.

Juan 01-05-2010 04:52 PM

If you pay attention, right before the camera angle switches to the hard camera side, Bret is about to say something to Shawn.

Sovereigntywillpr 01-05-2010 09:08 PM

I saw grown men crying, it was like that "it's still real to me damnit" video x20,000 people...
