Oooooooo WWE Heat on wwe.com called. They want their ratings back.

Sting Fan 01-13-2022 04:35 PM

969k is a great number. Outstanding show too, more happened in the first hour than has happened on other shows in months.

xrodmuc316 01-13-2022 04:38 PM

It doesnt look like CM Phil has changed the culture

That doesn’t mean anything good happened. And sometimes less is more anyway. It’s better to give logical and genuinely beneficial things time to breathe.

Rick what will you say the next time AEW inevitably hits a million plus on their ratings?

Nah your wrong, I’m not even going to bother give reasons anymore. Your wrong, show was fire, felt action packed, ratings are great to.

Hahaha, have you ever given a reason ever? You like what you like. That’s fine. It doesn’t mean it’s good or popular though.

Sepholio 01-15-2022 03:31 PM

Not sure he knows how to make an argument that isn't completely subjective and based entirely on his feels.

Mr. Nerfect 01-15-2022 03:38 PM

What I don’t understand is how TBS is going to justify keeping Dynamite in this slot when The Big Bang Theory does better ratings than it. I can’t be fucked checking the schedule, but did they push it earlier or later? I think I said somewhere that it could be a strategy to push people towards streaming too.

It’s not necessarily doom and gloom, but you would think that TBS is definitely taking a hit in advertising revenue from that slot. I guess that station could be making bigger profits elsewhere (does moving BBT to somewhere else greatly increase the revenue they would have been making from those slots, balancing things out?). But to see people pumping their arms about 900k on TBS is just reflective of where the times have taken us.

Yeah, but what don't they celebrate? No matter what happens they act like they are the kid that broke the Piñata .

Sepholio 01-15-2022 03:47 PM

Rampage could pull a total of 17 viewers and the narrative would be "Well yeah but 100% of them were in the 18-49 demo!"

Yep. And if it turned out they were all over 50, the narrative would change to that being the important demo now.

Seriously, with so many AEW fans being 48 and 49, watch the argument change over the next couple of years when they have birthdays.

Mr. Nerfect 01-15-2022 04:02 PM

The US is probably very different, culturally, but thinking about it, I don’t think I know a single person in the 18-49 demo that still has cable. I know one person who uses their parents’ service through an app remotely. So I don’t even think they would count in the 18-49 demo, should they be a Nielsen family and directly reported that.

Do advertisers actually WANT the people who pay money for cable services in 2022? Or would they prefer the younger people who are smart enough to stream that shit.

Yes. Hence commercials.

Rampage

showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-friday-1-14-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html

Did 526,000 viewers and a 0.20 demo, coming in at #20 for the night. Down about 60,000 and 0.04 from the week before.

Hahahhahahahahahahahahahaha

Yeah but they were number 1 in the 22-46 year old Canadian Nationals living in Mexico demo!!!!

Mr. Nerfect 01-19-2022 04:35 AM

This is the change people have been waiting for. Clearly.

It helped that it was a blowout.

Mr. Nerfect 01-19-2022 05:18 PM

Lol, Raw sucks. AEW almost got half of what they did across their 3 primary hours of cable.

587k / #50 for NXT 2.0

Curse of Oak Island show really popular

Over a millions a good number…

Mr. Nerfect 01-20-2022 04:45 PM

That’s almost a Rampage number.

Mr. Nerfect 01-20-2022 04:51 PM

1,032,000 million for Dynamite! Watch out WWE! Only 600k more to go to tie it with that third hour holding it back. *shadow boxes*

You can do this! Now you’ve just got to get another wrestler addicted to a substance so you can promote their return. What’s Brodie Lee’s kid doing?

#1-norm-fan 01-20-2022 04:52 PM

Wow. NXT officially demoted from a war against Dynamite to a war against the late Friday night B-show. How the mighty have fallen.

We have the DEMO, Noid. Only thing happening at WWE is reruns and reboots. We have original wrestling happening in a creative environment. We don't accept one man's vision, nobody will be renamed not even if you have the same name as two very famous wrestlers that both died before their time. Watch out, AEW is taking over. We are in control now and it won't be long before you're precious WWE will only be remembered for the anonymous Raw GM and did Randy Savage have sex with an underaged Stephanie McMahon?

The real question is, do these 2 idiots actually tweet back and forth to each other while in the same room???

#1-norm-fan 01-20-2022 06:50 PM

Have you seen Meltzer’s office? There’s no room for a second person.

I think Alvarez is in Washington state and Meltzer is in California

I agree, a million is a great number.

slik 01-20-2022 07:58 PM

Correct

Meltzer lives in San Jose and Alvarez lives in Bothell, Washington

That is like an hour plane ride

I’ve lived the vast majority of my life in Northern California. Further north than Dave even. I can attest that this is quite a trek just to tweet in the same room as another guy. Seems silly and pointless to make that journey, IMO.

xrodmuc316 01-20-2022 08:09 PM

I dont even know why we are pretending AEW got a million because they are good. They got a million because Cody returned, plain and simple.
