Assuming I know what he's talking about, Ronaldo and RvN (who apparently can't stand each other and have gotten into a fight before) had a fight on the training ground. It all resulted in RvN telling CR to run to his Daddy (referring to Carlos Querioz). Ronaldo's Dad died this season and he apparently burst into tears and yelled "I haven't got a Dad, he's dead".

I've also heard that this might not be the end of RvN but apparently Ronaldo is desperate to leave.

Rob 05-09-2006 03:48 PM

From what I heard, there were no tears and they had to be pulled apart.

I'm not denying that losing Rooney is a blow but it is ridiculous to claim that we're nothing without him, England are far from being a one man team. The keeper is decent, the defence contain some of the best players in Europe, as does the midfield which as i've already said is more than capable of scoring the odd goal.

I don't think we'll win the world cup but some of you are going proper over the top.

Would any of you be saying "oooh Brazil are fucked, they'll be lucky to get out of their group." if Ronaldinho got crocked, or "Argentina will get found out as soon as they come up against anyone decent" if Messi got injured? No, because they have more than enough decent squad players to fill in.

I read that whole thing just to see if Dale saw your top, and you didn't even give me an answer :(.

No, Dale didn't see my shirt. I told you before, everyone ignores the corner i am sat in and everyone did, apart from Toddy.

But some guys had a big Argentina flag and everyone started singing his name, so I think he gets the point that we want to keep him.

Either way, hideous yellow is a given.

Apparently, United have signed a pair of twins from Brazil, 1 who plays left back, the other right back. Could be sweet. If these pair ever turned out to be good enough, surely it would be a first (twins in 1st class professional football)

Check it out here

Boondock Saint 05-10-2006 02:34 PM

Showing highlights of Middlesbrough before the UEFA starts. That Macaroni guy is pretty good.

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 02:49 PM

Maccarone :D used to get some real laughs out of that name.

Dooks and JFH starting up front, looks to be a traditional 4-4-2. Loving the Schwarzer Batman mask, too.

Cactus Sid 05-10-2006 03:13 PM

James Morrison has looked utter shit

Ronald and Frank De Boer?

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 03:15 PM

MON THE SEVILLE

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 03:15 PM

Frank played midfield

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 03:16 PM

Yeah, Sevilla has been somewhat "taking the piss" so far, game being played in Boro's half.

Morrison could probably do better if he stayed on his fucking feet.

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 04:18 PM

GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 04:20 PM

Down 2-0, and that's the worst lead to defend.

Looks like we have it won then.

Boondock Saint 05-10-2006 04:20 PM

ROFL @ the guy in the crowd crying.

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 04:21 PM

It wasn't that prick with the phone again, was it?

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 04:24 PM

GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Boondock Saint 05-10-2006 04:25 PM

I dunno. What'd he do?

Rob 05-10-2006 04:25 PM

3-0. Boro don't deserve this.

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 04:25 PM

GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 04:27 PM

When Sevilla scored their first, they kept showing this one guy with sunglasses who was jumping and crying and talking on the phone.

Boondock Saint 05-10-2006 04:28 PM

Hot damn, what a slaughter.

Rob 05-10-2006 04:30 PM

Mark Schwarzer is shit. Total bottle job.

LK 05-10-2006 04:32 PM

Mark Schwarzer - what a legend!!!

Mr. Monday Morning 05-10-2006 04:32 PM

Future England manager, woooo :'(

LK 05-10-2006 04:32 PM

Genius tactics from Mr McClaren

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 04:35 PM

Schwarzer is prone to balancing his world class performances (ie the Uruguay shootout) with performances like that.

I was thinking exactly that, don't fucking play with a broken cheekbone if its gonna keep you from doing your job properly.

They didn't deserve to lose like that.

Of course, people were praising McLaren for going all out in the other games, and for being willing to attack when time called for it.....and now its suddenly a dreadful decision..... ah well, c'est la vie..... There's your England manager.

toxic rooster 05-10-2006 04:39 PM

It's sad that he still probably did better than Jones would have.

There's a difference from being 3-0 down with an hour to play and 1-0 down with 45 to play. He should've shuffled it no doubt but IMHO he threw too many forward too soon.

That said, the players let him down badly since half of them didn't show up. If England get in trouble someday soon (and no doubt we will) at least the guy isn't afraid to go all out for it.

Rob 05-10-2006 04:55 PM

If they get that stone wall penalty then it's a different match.

However, Southgate played an absolute shitter. Schwarzer was a complete bottle job (and I'll keep on saying that until I'm bored now) and they don't know how the pass a fucking football. I wouldn't really blame the tactics. It was all over once the second goal went in.

Rob 05-10-2006 04:55 PM

Okay I'll agree with Adam. They did throw players forward too soon.
