Didn't realize the NFL needed saving..

Reavant 12-25-2007 01:06 AM

Derick anderson is probably going to chicago. Theyre in talks of trading him for one of ther good defensive players and a 1st round draft pick because they think that brady quinn is the second coming of christ.

Crimson 12-25-2007 02:01 AM

The Bears trade their 1st round pick AND a player for Anderson? Kinda steep .

MTH15 12-25-2007 03:20 AM

ATL should do some major FA shopping and a good QB Draft pick and we will be good

Well first off, that team is way worse off than just a few quick fixes to making them good.

Drafting QB does nothing as any QB they draft is 2-3 years away from carrying the team. There is no Lock QB this year anywho.

Adding FA is not how you fix a team that is in such a shit hole. They can patch a few holes, but not all of them.

ATL is at least 2 perfect drafts and solid FA periods away from contending.

It seems like a major price for a one year( so far) wonder. But QBs go for alot. (See Matt Shaub) I wish the Bills could Offer some picks to the browns for Anderson, we need to finally get a solid QB. Losman and Edwards are not going to do it next year (Although I think Edwards has a chance to be a solid player) but I just want some stabilit. We have had a QB carousel since Jim Kelly retired. Our best QB in that time has been fucking Doug Flutie, and he only started like 9 games!

RP 12-25-2007 08:10 AM

Brady Quinn is infact the second coming of Christ

McLegend 12-25-2007 10:35 AM

Damn straight he is.

I dont mean good as we'll win the Super Bowl good. I mean good as in we wont suck anymore lol. If we sign

Bob Sanders
Alen Faneca
and I know its not possible, but Randy Moss...(I got these FA's off fox sports)
and end up drafting a decent QB like Matt Ryan or Chase Daniels....we should be in a good spot.

Reavant 12-25-2007 12:51 PM

For thebears to actually get a quality quarterback I would think a player and 1st round pick would be perfect.

MTH15 12-25-2007 12:55 PM

Do you think the bears should get a new RB?

Reavant 12-25-2007 01:02 PM

Im hoping they pick up michael turner off of free agency but that would be too smart for them to do that

Reavant 12-25-2007 01:04 PM

if the bears were smart they would get anderson and turner off of free agency/trades and then draft all ofensive linemen... bt they wont do that becaue they like to take a gun load it, hold it up, point the barrel directly between their eyes and pull the fuckin trigger.

MTH15 12-25-2007 11:36 PM

...I think Devin Hester should try to do running back. But hes underpowered and should only do outside tosses

I can see it now: Cassel throws a long bomb to someone.....running down the sideline, has an easy touchdown...but he is ordered to step out of bounds so Brady can come in to grab the TD record.</font> :o

Nah, only giants players get records that way...

Farve steps back... sits down... waits for strahen to touch him, gives strahan a big hug...

SammyG 12-26-2007 01:12 AM

I am excited to watch the Pats destroy everyone.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-26-2007 01:25 AM

I think its gonna come down to the Patriots Colts once again in the AFC Championship game and I expect a pretty close game

That'll keep the defense honest..

MTH15 12-26-2007 02:19 AM

Thats why I probably wouldnt do it. Do a lot more reverses with him and what not....The saints will not make the playoffs

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2007 02:25 AM

OMG

They won't?!?

MTH15 12-26-2007 02:27 AM

:D NO

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2007 02:29 AM

I love that you're trying to talk shit to me about the Saints while they still could make the playoffs in week 17, and yet your team, the Falcons have been eliminated since like week 8..

Yeah..

MTH15 12-26-2007 02:43 AM

And you guys owned us twice....but lets not talk about that lol

I'm not really buying the " Cant throw in the snow " thing. I dont think Brady will have a problem throwing. I dont think they'll be throwing bombs to Moss much in bad weather, but they have 4 recievers that run a decent 5-15 yard route. Its really just going to come down to what team can go out there and both physically and mentally be better then the New England Patriots. And the only team i think can do that is Indy. Defending champs. They've beat them before. Every playoff team that can possibly play the Pats either in the AFC or the NFC/Superbowl have questions about whether they can mentally beat the dynasty that is New England... accept for the Colts. Who have beaten them in the playoffs and have won the Superbowl. I'm sorry, but lets see Romo win a playoff game or two before we believe he can beat New England in a Superbowl. If Indy dont do it, New England is 19-0. I dont see any other team with a shot to beat them. And i also think Indy is every bit as good as New England. Gunna be a unbelievable game yet again. And with our luck, there will be a monstorous snow storm arriving on the morning of the game. That would make things really interesting.

Hanso Amore 12-26-2007 08:48 AM

Mentally, Only the Colts can hang I hink,

But I can honestly see Jacksonville giving the a run. They could upset them. They are hungry and slighted, and with that running game and Stout D, they are a tough team. They can beat the Colts and Patriots on talent, but it is going to be very hard for them to do it.

RP 12-26-2007 08:54 AM

Jacksonville dont beat the Colts or Patriots ever. Its too big of a game for them. They lose and then say things like " Bill Polian must of payed the refs " and cry about not getting calls and insinuate that the games are fixed. Its the same story with them every year. They go into a big game. Everyone is riding there sacks and then they get beat down and they cry and claim the games are fixed instead of taking responsibility for playing like shit. Jacksonville has no chance in hell.

RP 12-26-2007 08:56 AM

And whats with everyone riding David Garrard's balls? Everyone acts like his stats are so fucking amazing. He has like 16 td's and 2 ints. OMG OMG. He's about as good as Trent Dilfer i guess. 16 td's is not that amazing.

Reavant 12-26-2007 11:38 AM

You better hope that the Colts dont play the Chargers. Every time they have played in the past 3 years the Chargers have ended up beating them.

How many rushing TD's do they have??

They are a more run based offense so, yeah.. Two ints in like 14 games is a great stat..

MTH15 12-26-2007 01:49 PM

This Sunday should be interesting

Garrard... 64% comp. pct., 7.7 yds per attempt (.2 less than Peyton Manning), 18 TDs and 3 picks through 15 games while leading his team to an 11-4 record including a 3 point loss AT Indy where he completed 24 of 29 passes for 257 yds, 2 TDs and 1 pick. Just for fun, I'll throw in the fact that his QB rating is 4 points better than Peyton Manning's.

But let's disregard all that and just look at the fact that he only has a little over a TD per game... yeah, he sucks.

RP 12-26-2007 02:25 PM

I didnt say he sucks. I said those are average numbers. There not great.

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2007 02:28 PM

"I'll throw in the fact that his QB rating is 4 points better than Peyton Manning's."

Mad average..

OssMan 12-26-2007 02:45 PM

Holy smokes Patrick Willis had 20 tackles, 2 sacks, and a FF this week...all the Washington sports media saying London Fletcher shoulda made the pro bowl instead of him

He doesn't make mistakes. He isn't going to pass all over you, but thats not who he is and no one makes him to be that type of player. Jacksonville is a run first, play defense and ball control team, you know that. People are on Garrard's nuts because he doesn't make mistakes.

Skippord 12-26-2007 05:43 PM

I'm almost positive the Jags could beat the Pats or the Colts

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-26-2007 07:42 PM

I really don't see the Jags beating the Patriots, they will force Garrard to throw more than 20 times, which he really never does. I think forcing him to throw a lot with really hurt a QB who isn't used to it, especially when their best quality is "not making mistakes"

RoXer 12-26-2007 07:49 PM

BTW, Pats game is going to be simulcast on CBS and NBC
