He wasn't pushing anybody in the face. He was shaking hands with Sherman's face. THAT takes balls. :shifty:

shaking hands with sherman's balls takes face

Droford 01-30-2014 04:32 AM

I want Marshawn Lynch to be MvP so they can interview him and he says "I'm goin to Sizzler!"

RoXer 01-30-2014 12:02 PM

Speaking of Sizzler, Droford, which current MLB player's physique do you find sizzling hot?

road doggy dogg 01-30-2014 03:32 PM

Richard Sherman is the best. I love him. I hope he breaks Peyton Manning's ankles on Sunday.

Nark Order 01-30-2014 05:43 PM

Oh look. Sherman being a fuckhead again.

RoXer 01-30-2014 05:59 PM

What did he do this time?

sour grapes

I didn't know the Seahawks Def Coordinator played football here at (then) Salisbury State University back in the early 90s. He'll be the first person to go to SU to win a Super Bowl.

CSL 01-30-2014 06:14 PM

is this to do with the really vague criticism aimed at Manning amongst all of the praise he was giving him?

Nark Order 01-30-2014 06:21 PM

Kap summed up Sherman perfectly. "If you have to tell everybody how good you are, then how good are you really?"

CSL 01-30-2014 06:23 PM

I don't think how much you talk about yourself has too much of a bearing on how good you are. I never heard Rex Grossman say shit and that didn't work out too well for him. Not to mention Kaepernick rn probably knows better than anybody just how good he is. The dude could have been born a mute and he'd have still have tipped/broken up that pass

Nark Order 01-30-2014 06:28 PM

Sherman does seem to talk about how good everyone is more than the average player.

Nark Order 01-30-2014 06:29 PM

People want Sherman to be an anti-hero so badly. He's just kind of a jerk.

RoXer 01-30-2014 06:34 PM

What did he do now?

I can't have an opinion on the guy? Anything I say at this point is going to sound like sour grapes because of the situation. But every time I see him on television he's being a jerk. Skip Bayless is useless, Crabtree is a shitty receiver, Manning throws ducks, Kaepernick choked. I don't think I'm going out on a limb saying he portrays himself like an asshole. Is he a thug and a dumb nigger like the idiots were saying? No. That's obviously not true. But he's definitely a bit of a dick.

kind of see it more as almost the opposite, people are giving him so much shit because basically "look at this despicable confident black man having anything other than a Peyton Manning level of professionalism and tone with his words"

way more people giving him shit than those clamouring for him to be an apparent "anti-hero"

RoXer 01-30-2014 06:40 PM

You know what's a jerk move? Punching someone in the face when they try to offer a handshake.

road doggy dogg 01-30-2014 07:49 PM

The whole point is that he is a dick. That is why I love him. Need more assholes in sports.

If you thought he was actually offering a genuine friendly handshake like 5 seconds after one of the biggest blown pays of Crabtree's life, you're a bit disillusioned. Right after offering the handshake, he started miming choking motions to Kaepernick. He slapped Crabtree on the ass and offered a handshake to throw the loss in his face. Does a boxer shake a guys hand after he knocks a guy out and he's still on the ground? Everyone please get off the handshake thing.

I don't think even think he's that much of a dick, just a bit brash/outspoken and a good self-promoter. I'd probably like the guy even more if he was a dick, guys like Sean Avery, Chael, Mayweather, Tyson "back in the day", A-Rod, Barry Bonds, T.O etc, they make sport fun.

could the choke motion not have been spurred/"well fuck you all then" by Crabtree shitcanning him? And didn't Kaepernick mock Cam Newton the week before? Would you not be a bit inclined to give a bit of shit to a guy that was doing the same kind of thing previously/"knock him off his perch" a bit? Also, the handshake and especially the "hell of a game" seemed pretty legit to me. And no, because they're separated to allow the referee and potential medical treatment to get to the downed fighter. Watch MMA tho and see how often a guy will go to the guy down on the floor after he's just knocked him the fuck out. Happens a lot more than you'd think. It's not all deviousness and asshole agendas.

#1-norm-fan 01-30-2014 08:26 PM

Richard Sherman could have immediately given Crabtree his phone number, invited him over for dinner and slaved over a hot stove all day to cook him a delicious meal before taking him out for a night on the town only to have Crabtree pull out a gun and shoot him in the face at the end of the night and 49ers fans would find a way to keep believing Sherman was in the wrong.

Nark Order 01-30-2014 08:26 PM

Why would Crabtree's behavior spur Sherman to taunt Kaepernick? And people steal each other's signatures all the time. Cam Newton has done it as well. It's a little different than taunting someone with a choking motion after they blew a play. People stole the Tebow thing, they've eaten skittles because of Lynch, they've taken the Jimmy Graham slam dunk. It literally happens all the time. I'm not sure how malicious it is in comparison to blatantly taunting somebody after they lost one of the biggest games of their career. The league seemed to think so as well, because they fined him.

Nark Order 01-30-2014 08:30 PM

Well. It is just a little frustrating. Seriously every time I see Sherman play, he is being an asshole. Before games. After games. Wherever. Then I have to hear how intelligent the guy is every day for two weeks when seriously every time I see him he is making a dumb emotional decision or trash talking somebody.

If you like him because he's a dick then fine but don't try to tell me he isn't a dick. There is sure a whole lot of evidence to the contrary.

Do you really not see a difference between people simply stealing taunts like those last ones you mentioned and Kaepernick randomly taking the taunt of the opposing QB after scoring the go ahead touchdown against him? You can't seriously try to accuse Richard Sherman of having some evil motive behind his "hell of a game" and putting his hand out and then say "Kaepernick was just using someone else's signature like other guys do all the time. No big deal."

Nark Order 01-30-2014 08:46 PM

Did Kaepernick give an interview afterwards saying he is the best QB in the league and that Carolina should've known better not to put shitty corners up against him? I might have missed that part. His behavior as a whole was kind of ridiculous.

And seriously. The "stealing the signature taunt" happens like every week.

#1-norm-fan 01-30-2014 08:57 PM

No he didn't. If Cam Newton would have punched him in the face for it, he may very well have talked shit in response though.

#1-norm-fan 01-30-2014 11:07 PM

http://nfl.si.com/2014/01/30/colin-k...chard-sherman/

lol Kaepernick. I'm sure Richard Sherman is terrified of those receivers. He definitely seemed like it when he was shutting them down throughout the NFC Championship game and then tipped the game-winning INT.

Also, this...

Is fucking retarded.

Michael Jordan says he's the greatest of all time. Yet it SOMEHOW manages to still be true. Mind boggling.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-30-2014 11:10 PM

Let's go Seahawks!

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-30-2014 11:11 PM

Crabtree started the fight at a Charity event. What kindof an asshole starts a fight at a Charity event? You're there to do good not be an asshole. Crabtree is a sorry ass reciever and a sorry ass excuse for a human being.

#1-norm-fan 01-30-2014 11:12 PM

I'm a little torn on this game. I've always loved Peyton Manning and am leaning toward Denver because of him. However 49ers fans over the past couple weeks have done such a great job making me want to root for Seattle.

Kris P Lettus 01-30-2014 11:27 PM

I am def pulling for the Broncos but think the Seahawks will take it

ESPN conducted an anonymous survey with 320 NFL players, asking what quarterback they would want with the Super Bowl on the line.
Only one player named Joe Flacco.
“[Flacco] has been disrespected in the past, but there has been a new low reached,” wrote ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
“This is a slap in the face when you see that this is the same amount of votes received by Michael Vick, who is no longer a starter, and Josh Johnson, the backup quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. Matt McGloin, an undrafted rookie with the Oakland Raiders, got one more vote than Flacco. Given these votes, I'm surprised Josh Freeman didn't get any love.”
Not surprisingly, Tom Brady won with 128 votes. Peyton Manning came in second with 86 votes, then Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning rounded out the top 5.
Players from all 32 teams who were interviewed were requested to consider quarterbacks who didn't play for their team.
I cannot believe that there are players in the NFL today who would rather have Matt McGloin or Josh Johnson than Joe Flacco in a two minute drill to win a Super Bowl.

Josh Johnson, who since 2008 has bounced around the NFL (and even the UFL a couple years ago) and has a grand total of 5 TD passes vs 10 interceptions for his NFL career.
Or Matt McGloin, who the Raiders only used as a starter when they completely ran out of other options..

And it has me curious who the 1 player was since they can't be on the Ravens.
