So would I, had you not written it on here, I really don't know why I remember it, but I am sure you said that thats the reason you stopped supporting them.

Eat that Dazz, you cunt.

Dazz 02-28-2005 01:50 PM

Haha, you can't even spell defence properley.

And yeah, I guess my memory is bad :$.

Wengerland 02-28-2005 02:19 PM

Watched the cup final and taped the rugby.

Chelsea deserved the win really, but Liverpool had good chances through Gerrard and the Biscan headers, also Makelele pulling Gerrard down in the box was quite reckless, could've given a penalty for that.

Wooden spoon.

You got a bit lucky with the decisions on the disallowed tries, but Ireland are ranked higher than England anyway, so expectation wasn't high. We'll beat Scotland and Italy, that i'm certain of.

Rob 02-28-2005 02:22 PM

Joe Cole is a diving cunt. Even Chelsea fans are getting embarrassed by him now. Hopefully he'll be at Spartak Moscow or Kidderminster next season. As much as I wanted Chelsea to lose yesterday, it would have been a crime if Liverpool got a win after that performance. Mourinho was funny though in a cunt sort of way. First of many Steven Gerrard goals for Chelsea though.

I'll give you one try, the beautiful kick out to the winger. That should have stood.

However, we were the better side and deserved it overall. Defended brilliantly. It should have been wrapped up well before the end, but O'Gara couldn't kick for shit yesterday. Missed a decent penalty and two easy drop goals. Even one of those after the try would have killed the game off.

Wengerland 02-28-2005 03:06 PM

Yeah i can't deny you deserved it, Corry's try probably shouldn't have stood cause O'Gara was being blocked off. O'Driscoll's try was superb too, glad we've got Murphy at Leicester, great hands in that move.

Back to football ( :$), Inter suffered their first defeat in any competition this season yesterday, and it had to come against AC Milan :(

Rob 02-28-2005 03:27 PM

Inter have had about 72 draws though so it's not as an impressive record as it seems.

Rob Ban Fan 02-28-2005 04:19 PM

I bet Robbie Fowler scores though. I love Robbie Fowler so much.

That is on the old boards in the BBC soccer thread, I guess you weren't too dissapointed yesterday were you Sid ;).

Old Skool

I like Chelsea, always have, I backed them for the title 3 years in a row back in the Bates days, and I'd have them win the title over Arsenal and The Scum, I might be gutted, but I'm not gonna say that we should've won, and the usual speel you get from fans when your team lose, Chelsea were the better side and it was the right result on the day.

Also..... ROBBIE FOWLER JUST SCORED  2-2!

Wengerland 02-28-2005 04:54 PM

Quite a good game really, Ashton's goal was class.

Both defences have been pretty poor though.

Dazz 02-28-2005 05:06 PM

 wheres the reults, link me, who was louder, us or you?

Mr. Monday Morning 02-28-2005 05:18 PM

Hey ECG, just out of curiosity, are the majority of fans where you are Man U and Celtic? I'm just wondering if there's any real fanbase for any of the other teams (I can imagine Liverpool and Everton having their fair share)

Dazz 02-28-2005 05:22 PM

Sid, you lot were louder by four decibels.

Man U, Liverpool, Celtic and Rangers, or a combination, are by far the most common.

I remember watching the game 2 or 3 years ago where Arsenal went to Old Trafford and won the Premiership there in our student's union. It was ALL United fans, except for two of my mates who support Arsenal.

They both went mental, obviously, and nearly got chucked out for dancing on a pool table in front of a bar full of distraught United fans.

I have mates who support Chelsea, Leeds, Everton, Aston Villa etc. but the vast majority of people in general support Man U or Liverpool.

Yeah, loads of draws, even before the defeat they were 11 points behind the top two. They concede too many really, probably should've kept Cannavaro.

SOCCER star James Beattie had his head kicked “like a football” in a vicious attack outside a nightclub.

The £6million Everton striker, 27, was left reeling on the pavement with blood pouring from an ugly wound.

The attack followed a bust-up in the club when a man taunted Beattie’s girlfriend.

---------

Never would have happened if he'd joined Villa

Mr. Monday Morning 03-01-2005 05:04 AM

Why, would his girlfriend have been more attractive

I further my theory that she's banging Richard Keys, which explains why Norwich are on TV so often hence getting more money from Sky, and that this explains her language at halftime as she was pissed and looking for a quickie behind the pie shop.

"Where are you?

Let's be havin you!"

etc

:shifty:

Rob Ban Fan 03-01-2005 02:53 PM

She was on Soccer Saturday before the first match of the season and she was pissed then, going on about how much she loved Sky and Jeff Stelling. Maybe shes involved with all of them :o

then George Best was like "I think shes had a bit much to drink" only for Jeff Stelling to retort "you can talk."

yeah, one for allegedly beating up a chav, and the other for drink driving. It's one rule for United and another for everyone else. Disgraceful.

Cactus Sid 03-01-2005 04:36 PM

Arsenal game is well boring.
