I'm happy about the pick, just don't see how that is possible..

I just hope we don't waste it on another WR who won't even dress out all season..

Crimson 12-31-2007 01:14 PM

They've had the order on like 3 different mockdraft websites that were updated today..so it's usually pretty right on .

Kris P Lettus 12-31-2007 01:44 PM

I'm not doubting you, just saying that's weird..

Nervous Ferret 12-31-2007 02:48 PM

Love how the W yesterday takes the Jets out of the top 5. :( Doubt Dorsey will fall that far :( Laurinitisssssssssssss

Billick Fired as Ravens Coach.

The Baltimore Ravens on Monday fired coach Brian Billick.

The move comes less than a month after Billick was assured he would return.

The Ravens have scheduled a 3:30 p.m. ET press conference.

Billick was informed of owner Steve Bisciotti's decision a day after the Ravens wrapped up a dismal 5-11 season.

Billick, 53, is the winningest NFL coach in Baltimore history and guided the Ravens to their first Super Bowl title in January 2001.

Billick compiled an 85-67 record in nine seasons, but the Ravens, who won the AFC North championship in 2006, struggled to a 5-11 mark this season, including a nine-game losing streak.

Kris P Lettus 12-31-2007 03:01 PM

Damn..

I feel bad for him cause injuries plagued the Ravens all year.. Fuck sake, they were a top seed in the AFC last year..

Kris P Lettus 12-31-2007 03:13 PM

He was selected 28th overall out of Central Michigan University. The 49ers traded their first round pick in 2008 for Staley before the Baltimore Ravens selected with the 29th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft with New England. He was the second 49er taken in the draft to linebacker Patrick Willis.

The 49ers acquired Staley after trading into the first round with the New England Patriots. The Niners gave their 2008 1st Round Pick and a 4th Round pick in 2007.

From Wikipedia..

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-31-2007 03:18 PM

So basically they traded a #7 pick in 2008 and a 4th rounder in 2007 for the #28 in the 2007 draft...way to go Niners

Kris P Lettus 12-31-2007 03:21 PM

That's pretty ridiculous..

So, the Pats get that pick regaurdless of the SpyGate shit?? How are the rest of the picks gonna work out?? Does every other team move up one spot for the rest of the draft and then ther will be one less pick at the end or something??

Jesus Shuttlesworth 12-31-2007 03:26 PM

Yeah there will just be one less pick then usual

They are only losing their regular pick, not the one they got from the Niners

Corndad 12-31-2007 03:27 PM

I was assuming they just wouldn't have their pick at the end of the first round.

Also can I just say how tough it is to be a loyal Steelers fan at this point. Jesus our "top rated" Defense has looked like shit past few weeks.

SammyG 12-31-2007 10:26 PM

Rams drafting 2nd :)

MTH15 01-01-2008 12:53 AM

Shitty ass rams. Shitty Ass Dolphins...we ended our season with a big victory (even though they rested there starters)

Packers to Giants. The Green Bay Packers traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to the New York Giants in exchange for running back Ryan Grant.
Heh heh heh.

#1-norm-fan 01-01-2008 01:24 PM

lol... I misread that at first and thought you were saying Ryan Grant was just TRADED TO the Giants for a sixth round pick. :wtf:

MTH15 01-01-2008 01:52 PM

Thats pitiful

Evil Vito 01-01-2008 03:08 PM

I can't fault the Giants at all for that trade tbh. At the time it was a great move...Grant was their #5 back and looked bad in pre-season against 3rd and 4th stringers.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-01-2008 03:11 PM

He also wasn't very impressive in college either, he kinda came outta no where

OssMan 01-01-2008 04:22 PM

Grant will prolly become on of those Godsend running backs who looks awesome and then the Packers get rid of (Ahman Green, Samkon Gado, Najeh Davenport). meanwhile Giants got Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw dont need more RB

SammyG 01-01-2008 11:10 PM

I'm thinking Dorsey is gunna be a raaaaaaaaaam

MTH15 01-02-2008 12:57 AM

Big man on campus

He didn't look bad at all. I thought he looked good and I knew he would be a player. We just had so much depth at RB at the beginning of the year. I think Bradshaw is gonna be a baller too. Been saying that since the beginning of the year. Maybe I should just be an NFL scout.

I still keep hearing the Phins are gonna get him cause their D is old as shit.

One Phins fan I know said he was gonna rip the team to shreds if they don't draft McFadden, but I don't really see the need with Ronnie Brown coming back next year.

RP 01-02-2008 02:28 PM

Dolphins are drafting a QB. Trust me. Bill Parcells dont actually think Cleo Lemon is his QB for the next year. They're drafting a QB and that QB will probably play by week 3. That QB is Brian Brohm btw.

RP 01-02-2008 02:29 PM

I'm officially on the PLEASE LET INDIANAPOLIS DRAFT RAY MAUALUGA PLEASE band wagon.

OssMan 01-02-2008 02:31 PM

I doubt Miami is keeping the #1 pick

Matt Ryan > Brain Brohm

RP 01-02-2008 02:36 PM

Oh wait, Indy dont have a 1st round pick. NM.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-02-2008 02:40 PM

He could fall to the second round but I'm not even sure if he's a senior though?

RP 01-02-2008 02:43 PM

I dunno, but that guy is a fucking monster.

Skippord 01-02-2008 02:49 PM

I wonder if the Dolphins would take Javon Walker, The Broncos 1st round draft pick and like a third rounder for the #1 pick

Skippord 01-02-2008 02:50 PM

Answer: no

RP 01-02-2008 02:54 PM

I would not be shocked at all to see Indy take Javon Walker off your Broncs hands if its RAndy Moss cheap.

VonErichLives 01-02-2008 03:00 PM

Parcells (or his "GM") will take Dorsey or Chris long, not a QB or RB.

The Rams probably Jake Long, why would they take a QB? They have a good one, he just needs more then 2 seconds to throw the ball and Pace can't stay healthy.

I think the Jets trade out, if they stay probably McFadden.

If NE keeps the pick, I'm seen predictions with Malcolm Jenkins... that would make sense.

Laurinaitis would be a good fit, but Belicheck always seems to like free agent LB not rookies.

Reavant 01-02-2008 06:51 PM

Laurinaitis = all that is man

Jesus Shuttlesworth 01-02-2008 10:29 PM

Malcolm Jenkins at #7? That seems like a bit of a reach.

MTH15 01-02-2008 10:39 PM

Someone post a mock

Crimson 01-02-2008 11:40 PM

1. Miami- Dorsey
2. St.Louis- Jake Long
3. Atlanta- Matt Ryan
4. Oakland- Chris Long
5. KC- Ryan Clady
6. Jets- McFadden
7. Pats- Jenkins
8. Baltimore- Brian Brohm
9. Cincy- Sedrick Ellis
10. Saints- Lauranitis

MTH15 01-02-2008 11:47 PM
