Snipperclips is great but yeah the Switch as a whole is much less exciting if all you're ever going to do is play solo. Zelda will give you 100+ hours but after that the console really shines in co-op

Rime was notable for being $10 more expensive on the Switch compared to other platforms, which is apparently due to the cart, but Nintendo wanted pricing to be on par between the digital and retail versions which fucked that up.

Looks like Nintendo has allowed different prices now as Rime will be $29.99 digitally on Switch while physical still has to stay at the higher price or sell at a loss. The retail version now has a code for the OST.

For those interested in Hollow Knight for the Switch, the developer recently stated they hired another dev team to help out with the port of the game. Basically lets them speed up the time needed for the port rather than them doing it just by themselves.

In game currency to earn and buy new ARMS.

Splatoon is insanely huge in Japan for a Wii U game. I think the week after it came out, it sold the most it ever did since launch. Even more of a bump than Mario Kart 8 gave it.

Is Disgaea 5 worth looking at on Switch? I haven't played any of those games since I think 1 or 2 that was on the original DS. I remember vaguely liking it but not getting super into it. I think 5 has a demo out on Switch, maybe I'll try that out.

Yeah, there's a demo. I love the games, but they do feel like they drag near the end with them being so long and not changing too much, so it's a nice game to take breaks from and come back to.

I've been schooling people all over the place. The "change targets" button would've been a nice heads-up to tell us in the tutorial lol, found it out eventually in 1v1v1

I can see really enjoying the 1v1 mode and stuff, when you have time to stop and think and plan your moves. Patience and waiting for an opening seem to be killer in this. Instead of just spamming punches, throw one arm out and as they move throw your second arm in that direction, etc.

Grabs seem way OP though. I've won many games by basically chain-grabbing people, which seems really stupid and lame.

Still on the fence how I feel about it. I enjoy these little snippets of playing it but idk if I'd get a ton of mileage out of the full game.

Grabs are easy to dodge and punish once you see that glow coming in, just dash and throw a pucn with the opposite hand curved TO THE FACE

ARMS is so much better on a pro controller and Min Min with one heavy and one curve arm is great. I'm all in now.

OH SHIT, Monster Hunter XX on Switch is going to have crossplay with the 3DS. That's huge fucking news and really bodes well for other Switch titles (*cough* POKEMON *cough*) if that's a thing they can consistently pull off. I'm not even a huge Monster Hunter guy but that's fucking incredible news.

I'll have to try it with the Pro. I've never been a big motion control guy so it might give me a better feel for the game.
