Erm, basically they have given Druids' talent trees a big makeover, changing the two end spells on Balance and Feral Combat, I think from Hurricane and whatever was on feral to Moonkin Form (gives fellow casters more spell dmg i think) and Leader of the Pack for Feral, and quite a few changes all throughout the trees, making all three viable to use. Hurricane is a normal spell available at level 40 now too :o. I'm not that knowledgeable on Druids though so you might wanna check it out for yourself. :o
Silithus is getting a makeover too, so it's not gonna be a waste of space anymore 4 Dragon elite raid bosses in 4 zones You can now repurchase up to 12 items that you have sold to a vendor. There is now a buyback tab on all merchants that you can select to repurchase the last 12 items you sold since you last logged in. When your character leaves the game, this list of items will be cleared, so if you have accidentally sold something, don�t wait to buy it back. Buy it back immediately. :o hot er yeah a load of other little stuff too |
Warlocks DOT's will last for less time but do the same damage, so basically it takes less time for a lock to kill something now. :D

Instant Attacks
The mechanics of most instant melee attacks have been modified to improve item balance. Previously, instant melee attacks did damage based on the damage range of the weapon, plus a bonus for the player's attack power. This bonus was then multiplied by the speed of the weapon. As a result, slow weapons did more damage than was intended, and fast weapons were considered inferior by most players. We have changed the way the attack power bonus is calculated for instant attacks. This change does NOT affect attack power calculations for normal melee attacks. Instead of multiplying by the speed of the weapon, the attack power bonus is now multiplied by a fixed number pulled from the following table: Two-handed weapons: 3.3 Daggers: 1.7 All other one-handed weapons: 2.4 As a direct result of this, many weapons have shifted position in their relative power. In particular, many Epic (purple) quality items are now more powerful than slower Superior (blue) weapons. This change was not made to reduce the power of instant attacks, but to correct the relative imbalance of weapon itemization. At a given level requirement, epic quality weapons should always be more powerful than superior quality weapons. Please also note that all normal weapon swings will be completely unaffected by this change. wooo random TPWW posttttt... finally started going to MC again on Firetree, we killed Geddon and Shazzrah last night on our first attempts, pretty hot. was rofl too, killed geddon then got the 15:00 server restart ish so we're all like shit shit fuck shit, so we rushed our asses off and pulled/killed/looted shazzrah within 10 minutes on our first attempt. joke of a boss

Yeah that's how I am on Firetree (and how I was on Archi). I hate most of the people in our guild so I left, now I'm in the smaller guild, Robots in Disguise, wiht Ant RBM and a few others :cool:

Dude we should just get all us tpwwers on the same server, with me/tony/ryan/dust we've got like 5 level 60s (warlock/mage/druid/2 priests), silent with a 60 druid, lodownm with a 60 war, we could put together some pwn 5 man instance groups and shit, without any gay random people ninjaing stuff or whatever.
Ninti do you play with people you know on your server? If you are just soloing you should come roll alliance character on firetree, be nice to have another tpwwer to play with and I could help you out with shit if you want. :o When the expansion comes out im gonna be more tempted to roll a blood elf than hit 70 on my lock :'( |

What the hell are the Blood Elves doing with the Horde?
Ok, first off the Blood Elves left the Alliance because they were being discriminated against including being imprisoned for being traitors because they socialized with the Naga. Understandable why they're not with the Alliance. But the Horde??? The Orcs have just left all their ties to demonic power behind them. The Taurens hate demons and the arcane and are helping the Orcs rediscover their Shamanistic roots. Trolls are borderline but Thrall trusts them. And the Forsaken are only part of the Horde because Thrall believes he can help "cure" them. None of the other tribal leaders wanted the Forsaken in the Horde but out of respect for Thrall they kept their mouths shut. Now the Blood Elves, who are addicted to Arcane/Demonic magic and represent everything the Orcs just left behind, are part of the Horde? After the Frozen throne I was expecting the Blood Elves and the Naga to form their own faction and maybe team up with the Satyrs as well since they too are addicted to magic and are demonic followers. And that would of made a lot more sense to me. |
I agree with everything you said, but the biggest plothole you failed to mention was that Trolls and Elves (ANY kind of elves really) are racial enemies. The entire reason that the Darkspear Trolls even allied with the Horde in the first place was because it gave them an opportunity to shed Elven blood. Which makes the whole Blood Elf thing even more stupid. I guess the Horde need their 'pretty' race though to lure some of the bnet kiddies over from Alliance to balance out the server pops though

That all being said, I am excited abou the expansion, if not a bit skeptical. I'm afraid that raising the cap may bring a few imbalances to the game. I hope this doesn't totally trivialize current end-game content (can you say 10-man MC pug?). Also, the whole deal with the talent points and whatnot. Blizzard has clearly stated a number of times that Hero Classes are a long ways away, so that's out of the question. I'm thinking they're going to totally re-do the talents or something, or maybe space out the talent points so that you still remain with 51 talent points. I dunno. I'm probably over-worrying, because Blizzard I'm sure knows what they're doing. Expansion's not due for a while yet anyway so I'm sure everything will be made clear by the time it arrives

Blizzcon was awesome, I'm so glad I got to go. :D The expansion was pretty fun to play, all that was available was some premade Blood Elves and some epic-filled level 60s for the new Silithus instance, but the time limit on the computers made it hard to get much accomplished in either. I'm so excited I get to be in the beta though. :o! Also got my murloc pet

On another note, we downed Hakkar last night for our first time. We havent been trying ZG as much because we are more focused on BWL right now.
My dude also has a Bloodfang Helm and a gutgore ripper, just currently not using them because my perdition's is better and the NS helm is better for pvp. I was a knight, but I havent pvp'd in a long time, dropped to damn sergeant...need to get me rank back up! |

Yeah I would love to play BG with you all, haha. The thing that sucks about AV rep is there isnt much there for staff using mages, it's good for the off hand items but meh.

What does everybody think the likliehood of a second expansion pack is? Keep in mind this is Blizzard and their track record shows that do one expansion pack per game and then that's it. However, MMO's generally require more upkeep then normal games and traditionally have multiple expansions (i.e. Everquest). Just wondering if its possible we may get more content and classes down the line.

Yeah..After like 4 or 5 i'd stop playing, 12 is just crazy, can you say lvl150 cap, you could 5man MC then and 10man BLW.

The difference is that EQ has Alternate advancement.. similar to talent points, but there are a lot more. The level cap hasn't been raised with every EQ expansion. There has simply been more content and more AA's added. And yes it's true that with a higher lvl cap you can do the earlier raids a lot easier. It's the same way in EQ. You can do a 10 man veeshan raid, where-as that used to take 40 people.
Think of it this way.. if WoW increased the cap again and put in new stuff, by the time you hit the new cap, that old stuff is going to be crap for you so doing those instances will be pointless for you, and you'll be focusing on the new ones a lot more. Then again, if you think grinding instances is bad you've obviously never PLAYED EQ. As much as I liked the game, doing a mandatory raid 20 times and not getting a single piece of loot for yourself sucked. If there were high end guilds in WoW that had strict requirements like in EQ, you'd have all quit the game by now unless you were actually a hardcore enough player to meet the requirements.. (hell, there may be a few guilds in WoW that require lvl 60 and a certain set of gear to join, but I never saw any on my server) That, and there is a lot less customization in WoW, so there can't really BE that many requirements. |
Regardless of what content is added, paying for a shitload of expansions sucks serious balls. Blizzard has so far been able to add several highend dungeons without charging us any extra money (Dire Maul, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Zul'Gurub) and the expansion so far has at least 8 new ones planned, including the Caverns of Time which could be updated regularly.
So I guess what I'm saying is I hope that if Blizzard decides to release several expansions they are full of things more then some extra skill points and a new dungeon. |
I think Blizz has done pretty well honestly. The expansion is adding some good content... I know I was probably the first to bitch about it but I just kind of had some real high expections for it, so when it didn't hit on everything I wanted I felt let down. But looking over the expansion a second time they are offering a pretty good expansion.

You create your own character and improve it. You can pick from 8 different races, (4 on each faction), and there are 9 total classes you can pick from. Not every class is available for each race. Basically you pick a character and either kill things, do quests, or go through specific areas with groups, (called instances.)

lol was in AV with Bacon and the server went to shit. Was funny 'cause the server did eventually stabilize and we were the only 2 Alliance in. Of course the BG closed due to lack of numbers, but it was hot being in a virtually empty AV.
In other news, I'm probably getting my Spell Power enchant on my dagger within the week (whenever smellipants transmutes me those essences of air). Hai ooooooo |

downed Majordomo for the first time in MC last night, so that's 9 out of the 10 MC bosses i've seen killed now :cool: he dropped the fireproof cloak and cauterizing band (both of which i want :()and the eye of divinity :o it's getting ROFL how much felheart is dropping, in the first half of the MC run I won the pants, then the boots and shoulders dropped and two other locks won. Wish i'd have held out for the shoulders tho :( Still, 4 out of 8 pieces and i'm next in the queue for the next piece that drops, so i'll be 5/8 hopefully this weekend. |

Woot, finally had a Thursday night off work. Killed Onyxia for mine first time. Fucking 2 Judgement Crowns dropped though. x_x And even worse, we only had 2 Paladins. And even worse, one of them already had. And even worse, the other one didn't want it. But we basically made him take it anyway lol.
Also, rofl. Me and Draper totally raped these horde in Azshara earlier. Was 2v2 at first then they brought in more and we owned them... then as they were porting out we sheeped the hunter and he got left behind roflllll. Poor Zofo /pity |
