Same here, actually.

Doesn't sound like I've missed anything of significance.

Did I miss anything of note that is worth checking out of Youtube? Either for good or hilariously bad reasons?

Lock Jaw 12-08-2015 12:41 AM

Ziggler/Owens match pretty sweet.... Team B.A.D. briefly danced with New Day, but that can be summed up in gif form...

@Vito Cruz (in regards to your rep):

I've been a fan since 1993, watched WWF, WCW, ECW, even followed TNA until around last year... just so depressing how wrestling just seems so unbearable right now. I don't wanna "stop watching" but there's just nothing that interests me right now.

I try to put it down to age and just finally outgrowing professional wrestling, perhaps that's what it is.

you missed a pretty terrible closing segment. I don't know what else to watch on Mondays. Something inside thought they were turning the curb and I wanted to be there and say I saw it Live, but the light bulb is dimming. When I go to WrestleMania next year I fear it could be my last hurrah with WWE until they fix things

Big Vic 12-08-2015 10:13 AM

I was making a level in Mario Maker, pretty fun.

Heisenberg 12-08-2015 10:47 AM

dude, we probably won't wake you up after December ends. PC is destroying everything. I don't want to attend a PC Wrestlemania

Rammsteinmad 12-08-2015 11:10 AM

Caught a few clips of Raw on Youtube.

Adam Roses segment was horrendous. Just unspeakable.

Rhyno's return would have been cool if he hadn't already been back on NXT for a few months, but to be honest, the whole "ECW/Extreme Reunion" gimmick has been done to death since ECW died. Was cool seeing the Dudleys when they first returned (THAT pop was insane), but that's pretty much gotten stale already.

Jack Swagger vs. Stardust, like most matches these days, was horribly predictable. Swagger, who has been a jobber for the last year or two, has suddenly ended up in a US title match and all of a sudden has the ability to defeat Raw mainstays like Stardust. And I use the term "mainstay" loosely. Cody deserves so much more than this...

Divas... meh, same generic bullshit.

League of Nations seems like a cool stable, and that's a cool name, but I dunno, Sheamus is a "solid hand", but his promos are just boring. If anything, Barrett should be the mouthpiece of the stable. Wouldn't look good if the champion's not the leader though, I suppose.

Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler seemed alright (judging only by the highlights), but I didn't need to read the Raw spoilers to know Ziggler was gonna lose. Is Ziggler "finished"? Is there really anything else for him? Five years ago, the guy was on so much fire, seemed a shoe-in for future stardom. Now, he's just a main-event jobber. Hell, even his look (the bleach-blond long hair, the headband and the camo paint) just oozes of midcard purgatory.

Just nothing positive to say, really. This sucks. TLC looks like a solid card, though.

Simple Fan 12-08-2015 12:41 PM

Reigns seemed to have more confidence on the mic but I still don't think the character he's playing fits him. That closing segment was horrible, I was waiting for Shrmeamus to just do the heel thing an walk away and end it but they stretched it out and I about fell asleep. I do like Zeb and Del Rio splitting up, and agree with who ever said that Barrett should be the mouth piece of the League of Nations. I feel like Barrett is the least featured of the 4 and probably the best talker. I believe he could out over Sheamus enough to where it wouldn't be strange with him being on the mic. Don't know how I feel about O'Neil & Stardust, I feel like The Cosmic Wasteland could be more than what it has been. I mean they pretty much held Stardust Section signs in the crowd during Cesaro matches for a month until he got put in the tournament. Don't know why Titus would be the one to draw Cody out, I've mentioned before I think a Mania program with Sting would be great for drawing Cody out of Stardust.

Innovator 12-08-2015 12:56 PM

I think this is a vast WWE corporate conspiracy to finally have everyone love Cena.

<font color=goldenrod>Pretty much in the same boat. Nothing happening in WWE interests me now at all. It's just not for me anymore.

I still feel like wrestling could be a good entertainment medium, but it involves expanding horizons into other promotions. And frankly, WWE has been so bad that I haven't felt the desire to put in the effort to seek out other wrestling. Now that WWE sucks I just don't want to watch any of it.

So I in effect feel down on the entertainment medium as a whole, which probably isn't fair to the NJPW and Lucha Undergrounds of the world but I can't help it.</font>

I think its the fact that Raws are pointless to watch because the story's never progress during them except for the first one after a PPV. And none of us like the story of "Romans Road to the Top" to begin with.

#1-norm-fan 12-08-2015 01:23 PM

As THE #1 WWF FAN, I haven't even been able to watch a full segment in a while now. I keep tabs. But even reading the results I have to skim through because of all the nothingness going on.

It's not an age thing. The PG rating doesn't automatically make for shitty entertainment. It does seem to make them think they don't need to try anymore though.

Rammsteinmad 12-08-2015 01:33 PM

One positive note during this episode, and only one... during the Owens and Ziggler match, Owens had Ziggler in a rear-chin lock and the crowd started clapping in unison to rally Ziggler on, and Owens shouted "you think that'll work?!".

Highlight of the night.

Heisenberg 12-08-2015 01:47 PM

I've Parentally Guided my son to another venues of entertainment while RAW is on, in fact I didn't even have to do that, he doesn't like any of the stuff outside of the New Day and he does feel Roman Reigns, but only when he was on the Shield doing Shield stuff like punching people.

Damian Rey 12-08-2015 02:30 PM

I've tuned out since Survivor Series. Anything I read or hear about is just the stuff I catch via these threads. Nothing about the company interests me. I'll still catch the ppv specials or whatever, and NXT and its takeover events are worth $10 a month, but that's about all I'm investing into at this point.

Even the hulu cut of raw, once completely bearable and even misleading in that it gave the impression of a tightly ran, focused 1.5 hours of television, have become a chore, to the point of me skipping out on them after the lame Survivor Series event.

There's just nothing interesting, exciting or compelling about what they're offering.

I'll just watch nxt.

Big Vic 12-08-2015 02:37 PM

Wonder if CyNick will respond to this or give up...

Big Vic 12-08-2015 02:39 PM

Oh wait it seems as though he already has given up.

KIRA 12-08-2015 02:41 PM

Yep outside of New Day and the guys/women I love who will never be on top. It has become a chore to watch this show. I don't understand how you can do so much with 2hrs and then so little with 3hrs (outside of the fact that unless the show is just amazing 3hrs is taxing on the crowd) and it shows every time and the tv audience. There is also a certain disingenuous feeling that has crept into the show. At this point I still love wrestling but I'll stick to NXT and a few others for a while. That final segment just may have been the last straw just ugh.

Rammsteinmad 12-08-2015 03:29 PM

The fact that a guy like Dolph Ziggler, who has been probably one of the top five most over guys on the roster since 2008, has yet to really have a "Wrestlemania Moment", or a decent title run, demonstrates WWE's complete lack of understanding their audience. Just can't bare it any more.

Maluco 12-08-2015 03:32 PM

The lack of effort and consistency in building new stars over the last 10 years is really hitting home now. It is like a wasteland out there, completely barren of any star talent.

That, coupled with a lack of any interesting or intriguing storylines is a massive double blow and the result is the 3 hours of monotony and filler that gets served up every week.

Rammsteinmad 12-08-2015 03:34 PM

Yep, and if the WWE are lacking in star power right now, I can't wait for Wrestlemania season to begin, so that everyone on the roster can shift even further down the totem pole so that Triple H, Undertaker, Lesnar, Cena, Rock etc can come and take all the spotlight again. Not that they can really go down any further as it is.

Maluco 12-08-2015 03:38 PM

I feel like the main event scene is obviously where you can see the lack of star talent (although the stories are repetitive and unoriginal there too)

But where the lack of effort in the writing is most evident for me is in the tag scene. They have more than enough teams for a really competitive, exciting division...and they do nothing with it. Just have a team get a few wins, pinfall over champs, PPV match, repeat. And nothing for any team that doesn't happen to be challengers that month, until they are brought back and given a few wins so they can have a PPV match until they go on the back burner again too.

There is 3 hours of TV, why can't we have two hot tag feuds over something interesting?

Big Vic 12-08-2015 04:32 PM

Are the current tag team champions actually feuding with anyone now?

The CyNick 12-08-2015 08:27 PM

Strong show overall.

Really enjoyed the opening segment. Enjoyed that match, and it set the table nicely.

I'm digging where they are taking Charlotte. She's infinitely better as a heel. I just hope they can keep Banks away from her before Mania. Speaking of, good to see Team Bad more airtime.

Liked the Owens-Ziggler match, didn't get the Ambrose popcorn deal. Kinda stupid.

New Day continues to be great. Interesting to see where they go from here. They ate great where they are, but can they take the next step to the main event?

The lack of depth was more noticeable with having guys work twice. Really no fault of anyone. They need Cena back ASAP.

Reigns is really starting to catch on. You could hear the crowd was more behind him than in recent weeks. Interested to see if they pull the trigger on Sunday or have him get screwed again.

Ambroses popcorn spot wasn't as stupid as anything Reigns did on the show. I can imagine him back stage thinking that tatertot line was golden. Hell I hope he starts calling everybody tater tot. He can be the Tater Tot Man Roman Reigns and have a Macho Man esque gimmick, it'd be 100X better than what he's doing now and plus his best promo in WWE was him impersonating Savage.

Their not really feuding with either team though. New Day has been great and they gotten more TV time but it has taken away from their actual fueds.

Lock Jaw 12-08-2015 10:27 PM

Nothing wrong with the Tater Tot line.... had the fans chanting it and everything.... it isn't "clever" or anything, but it is the kind of "lame/simple" humour that you would hear John Cena or The Rock do....

Simple Fan 12-08-2015 11:46 PM

Yeah and that in lies the problem. Reigns is not that type of guy, he was best in the Shield as the badass with few words, that's the one thing he should have kept after the Shield split over the entrance and attire.

He is related to Rock, though. I'm guessing it's probably hereditary. What a shame.

He not even really related to The Rock. Peter Miavia and Reigns grandfather were "blood brothers" but had no real kin.

Why did Reigns keel saying "son" to Sheamus? Seemed like he was trying to act as a tough guy but was failing.
