I'm sorry but unless you plan to film your band or something buying that smoke and lights set is stupid.

Last Train's the closest think I can come to being interested, and it's not worth paying 2 bucks for the novelty value.

I dunno, I plan on using it for my wrestling promotion: XGCW (eXtremely Gay Championship Wrestling).

Soon, it'll be pushed back to "TBA."

Week of January 22, 2008 - Oasis Pack

Oasis - "Live Forever"
Oasis - "Wonderwall"

Week of January 29, 2008 - Progressive Pack

Smashing Pumpkins - "Siva"
Rush - "Working Man" (cover)
Coheed and Cambria - "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)"

Blitz 01-16-2008 07:36 PM

Better believe I'm picking up the Oasis pack. And the Coheed song.

Fignuts 01-16-2008 10:17 PM

Fignuts 01-17-2008 02:16 AM

So got oxm magazine. Only tried the guitar, but they are pretty fun. Nothing mindblowing, but a tad more fun than I was expecting.

Kane Knight 01-17-2008 02:03 PM

Is there a torrent for the bonus tracks?

D Mac 01-17-2008 04:13 PM

Ugh cmon more Metallica already.

What Would Kevin Do? 01-17-2008 04:27 PM

I'm gonna have to get that Oasis pack... Then again, I still need to get the Black Sabbath pack.... Although I wish they would have had Morning Glory in the Oasis pack.

Shaggy 01-18-2008 05:43 PM

I think im gonna fork out the cash on my next paycheck to get this game. Im tired of waiting all this time.

Cooler Tom Schuler 01-19-2008 03:48 AM

Now that they've released bonus tracks on a CD it's only a matter of time before somebody figures how to make their own.

Unless that's already happened, in which case I stand corrected.

Kalyx triaD 01-21-2008 01:02 PM

Got the OXM song pack (feelin dirty inside). Sprode doesn't fit well, on any kind of play. Rock Rebellion is sweet. The third track sucks song and gameplay wise.

Oddly enough, the mag had an article that walked you thru fixing busted RB equipment. Now, in-print they admitted they knew little about what they were doing, even labeling a drum kit piece 'thingy' or something. But I was inspired to toss my warranty out the window and perform some surgery on my guitar's non-downstrumming issue. A pair of scissors and some patience and boom - I got it working.

Thanks OXM, I'll never buy you without sleazy promotions attached but you got me drivin solos again. My broken foot pedal is another issue.

Fignuts 01-21-2008 09:37 PM

Was about to say, oxm is the only other magazine I buy outside of egm. They have some good editorials in there a lot of the time, and their reveiws aren't as biased as the playstation mags are. They're pretty honest actually. As for the price, I'm not that bothered by it. The disc usually comes with a bunch of cool stuff outside of demos and videos. Free gamer pics and themes, and artwork.

Blitz 01-22-2008 06:41 PM

Bought the Oasis pack. Only tried them on Guitar, but Don't Look Back In Anger and Live Forever are really fun. Wonderwall is only alright.

Zelda 01-22-2008 06:55 PM

I tried Rock Band for the first time for my birthday and I fell in love with the drum.

Kane Knight 01-22-2008 07:16 PM

I'm yet to try the drums.

Kalyx triaD 01-22-2008 07:54 PM

Drums rule.

Kane Knight 01-22-2008 08:13 PM

Maybe Rock Band'll lead to someone in my area learning drums and playing for me.

D Mac 01-23-2008 01:55 AM

So is Oasis worth getting. I've heard of them but never heard any of their songs.

They're on sale seperately in a couple weeks.

Kane Knight 01-23-2008 10:53 AM

Yeah, I know. I will probably get them eventually.

WestNZ 01-29-2008 03:17 AM

man, i cant wait

Blitz 01-29-2008 05:03 AM

The vocal cover of Ten Speed is atrocious. I know Claudio has something of a "unique" voice, but was this seriously the best they could do?

Shaggy 01-31-2008 03:42 PM

I picked it up and started to play it....Its sad because all the Guitar Hero games have givin me atleast some trouble on hard if not complete trouble in not beating it....

But I beat Rock Band guitar on hard without even failing a song, worst off I nearly five starred all but 1 song....

Blitz 02-01-2008 12:11 AM

March DLC, as revealed by OXM

March 4 - Thrash Pack
At The Gates "Blinded By Fear"
Evile - "Thrashes"
The Haunted - "Shadow World"

March 11
Bad Company - "Shooting Star" (COVER)
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Simple Man"
The Police - "Message in a Bottle"

March 18 - NIN Pack
Nine Inch Nails - "March of the Pigs"
Nine Inch Nails - "The Collector"
Nine Inch Nails - "The Perfect Drug"

March 25 - Metal Pack
Iron Maiden - "Wrathchild" (COVER)
Black Sabbath - "Supernaut" (COVER)
Metallica - "Fuel"

Is it weird that I'm not interested in like any of those songs really.

Shaggy 02-01-2008 02:07 AM

Anyone know what the tracks for this month are?

Sucks that I have to wait till the end of March for Metallica....

D Mac 02-01-2008 02:10 AM

I'll probably get Skynyrd and Metallica and maybe the Sabbath one and that's it.

D Mac 02-01-2008 02:11 AM

Did good on hard but failed Sandman.

Kane Knight 02-01-2008 01:26 PM

I wish they had better NiN tracks. I'll grab March.
