I haven't. Never heard of this "overflow". Will have to check it out.

Because I'm almost as big a bitch there as here and I'm still going strong.

Because in a jokingly fashion, I said I was 8 years old. Now, if they did a little research before swinging the ban hammer, then that would mean I made my account when I was 3. Now they want me to send them a scan of any form of ID that shows my age.

If I didn't have so much Karma and shit I would just make a new account and move on, so I guess I'm gonna have to send them my college ID from years ago.

Simple, really. In single player, if your star power is topped out and you hit another SP phrase, nothing happens. Now, in multiplayer, if I'm topped out while playing with, say, you and Funky, you guys get my extra star power split up evenly between you. So for two players, half each. Of course, this is useless if you and Funky are topped out, but if we're all topped out, we should probably be reaping that sweet band multiplier.

For some of the "Fill your SP gauge as many times as possible" challenges, maybe all, I don't know, it seems like this is a necessity. Mostly because I've nailed all the SP phrases on a song with no sustained notes, and it was only enough for Platinum. Since it's a bass (I think) challenge, a second player can't help directly....But if he keeps his SP gauge topped out, he can donate to me.

Good stuff. Used it to get a few Diamond challenges. Only 19 left. Bet I could cut that number in half if I had a singer to get the vocal challenges. :(

D Mac 09-06-2009 07:16 PM

Don't worry G, I fixed the DLC problem so that shit won't be happening again sorry.

Got a replacement 360 so I had to transfer licenses to it, but now I have to download all my songs and shit again if I wanna play them offline.

G 09-06-2009 08:41 PM

I need 9 Diamond challenges for the 50. Haven't done any of the vocal or drum ones. Someone help me outtttttttttt

thecc 09-06-2009 08:49 PM

I sing, but i only can do like medium/easy.

Kane Knight 09-07-2009 12:54 AM

Right after you got off, I got a message from a guy asking to help him get the Crank it to 11 achievement. Turned out he was a drummer and he got me those drum Diamonds we were talking about in return. Talk about timing.

Yeah right. I had the COD4 bug. Then I got drunk and had a craving to play Guitar Hero 3.

D Mac 09-08-2009 10:28 PM

Yeah, the RB drums just aren't big enough to do that really fast drum shit.

Is there any way to change difficulties in the middle of an XBox live session or do you have to go out and back in.

G 09-08-2009 10:30 PM

AFAIK, the host can back out to the character screen so everyone can change their shit.

G 09-08-2009 10:30 PM

Could you hear us making fun of you the whole time. :D

D Mac 09-08-2009 10:36 PM

No. I turn the voices down so I don't have to hear bitching. :p

Yeah, some of those songs I haven't even played yet.

Still a better drummer then you two.

D Mac 09-08-2009 10:37 PM

Practice makes perfect.

G 09-08-2009 10:42 PM

It's a real shame RoXer1 has "retired". This game is nothing like the previous GH's. I love the layout of everything and the presentation. It's like they "revamped" the series. I might even go out on a limb and say it's better than RB2.*

*Obviously GH's DLC is terrible.

D Mac 09-08-2009 10:42 PM

Yeah the Guitar Hero drums would probably be a better fit for this. I might try to find a set used or something.

G 09-08-2009 10:43 PM

I've also started playing expert hyper speed 3 today. I'd love to see him come in and beat me on that. I tried hyper speed 5, but that is too ridiculous. You got to have the charts mesmerized for it.

I dunno. I got better rankings on a couple of those songs than you. G suggested them because ostensibly we would get more stars, not less. :p

D Mac 09-08-2009 10:54 PM

When I try to hit fast notes on one drum I usually hit the sticks together and get all out of whack.

G 09-08-2009 10:55 PM

There will be a DotW for DLC. I'm guessing it's for GH5, too? If I only knew what these songs are...

Sept. 28: 50% off the Top 10 DLC songs from Guitar Hero World Tour

The multiplayer is actually better than RB, IMO. I still think Rock Band is the better series right now, but I like the way shit works in MP GH5 now. Of course, it could use some tweaks. After the other night, the ability to change audio settings while on Live would be nice. I could have backed out, and then been reinvited, but I might have needed a lot of tweaking and that would be a pain.

Also, there's no excuse with the "diffuculity on the fly" deal they couldn't have let us change difficulties at the setlist menu or something. Or even had us pick each time like RB.

Pretty sure my 5 yr old daughter hits more notes than you.

I'm telling Lars on you.

And she only has one arm....

To be fair, I think he was just emulating his hero, Lars. You know, he was hitting a lot of notes, just not in what could be considered "rhythm," and thus, they didn't register.

Also, dammit G, you got "Sex On Fire" stuck in my head!

(Not actually a bad thing)

D Mac 09-09-2009 03:24 PM

Yeah, it is. Hate that song.

Just played Suicide and Redemption from Metallica Death Magnetic. Can't believe I've never listened to it. It's awesome.

Fignuts 09-09-2009 06:36 PM

Bought the Rolling Stones DLC. Only played Satisfaction but it was fun.

D Mac 09-09-2009 08:48 PM

Just now checked out GH Tunes on this.

Seen some songs as long as 9 minutes.
