Yeah I know, but still...:'(

McDaniels will likely leave Quinn in Hillis' spot on the bench anyway.

Innovator 03-14-2010 11:59 PM

OK Jets fans

His name is Ladanian

LdT, BabyLT

He's not LT

FearedSanctity 03-15-2010 12:05 AM

It's not like he's some no name LBer using LT as a nickname, LT are his actual initials. He's just as entitled to the name as Lawrence Tynes is. I don't exactly care for the guy, but it's pretty ridiculous that people make a big deal about him using his own initials as a nickname just because someone else shares them and used them first.

Innovator 03-15-2010 12:18 AM

bLT sits on the sidelines when his feelings are hurt

LT would go get 4 sacks after being dragged into the locker room unconcious after snorting an 8 ball off girls' asses.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-15-2010 01:50 AM

I don't even know how it's possible but LT's book is one of the most hilarious/sad things I've ever read, all at the same time.

Gonzo 03-15-2010 01:55 AM

I think I remember a story about LT about how opposing players would send girls to his room the night before a game to "tire him out." Or maybe it was the other way around. Either way, rofl.

Emperor Smeat 03-15-2010 03:28 AM

If he fell for that trick then he's pretty dumb since that is one of the oldest NFL tricks. I think the 49ers managed to beat the Bengals in one of their 2 Superbowl meetings that way.

Innovator 03-15-2010 10:13 AM

He used to send them to the other players rooms

Evil Vito 03-15-2010 12:50 PM

lol the Giants and Jets are arguing over who gets to play the first meaningful game in the new stadium.

Giants are claiming the NFL promised them the first game when the Jets got to close Giants Stadium...Jets say it will be determined via coin toss.

Big Fat Mike 03-15-2010 01:01 PM

The new GIANTS stadium. What's the problem ffs.

Evil Vito 03-15-2010 01:15 PM

WOOOOOOO Giants win the coin toss

I'll probably just say Meadowlands personally, from now on.

I thought it was kind of ironic the Jets played the last home game in Giants Stadium, but whatever.

OssMan 03-15-2010 11:50 PM

The Meadowlands Complex at Xanadu

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-16-2010 12:13 AM

Let's go New Jersey Jets/Giants

Reavant 03-16-2010 12:24 AM

so they built another stadium and both teams still share it? does anyone else think thats retarded?

Hanso Amore 03-16-2010 12:41 AM

I have no recollection of posting this

No, because I don't think the New Jersey state government was willing to put in much money towards the project. They split the cost of a state of the art facility.

RoXer 03-16-2010 07:32 PM

I could have sworn the Jets were building their own stadium. Where did I get that from?

Team Sheep 03-16-2010 07:39 PM

There were original plans for the Jets to build a stadium on the West side of Manhattan. Looked amazing.

Reavant 03-17-2010 12:21 AM

wow that would have been awesome... then they could have actually been a new york team

Gonzo 03-17-2010 12:54 AM

You know, I've never heard anyone from a good team make any remark about the Giants or Jets playing in Jersey, mostly just resentful Buffalo fans because their team perpetually sucks ass.

Reavant 03-17-2010 12:58 AM

cuz the jets have been such a bright spot in the nfl since like superbowl 3 shut the fuck up

Gonzo 03-17-2010 01:00 AM

What are you going to say about the Giants, douche?

Anyways, I was just stating my experience. Pretty much only shithead Buffalo fans remark about the Giants and Jets in Jersey.

Supreme Olajuwon 03-17-2010 01:02 AM

Well I make remarks about it too, but I live in Ohio so you probably didn't hear me.

Reavant 03-17-2010 01:03 AM

im not going to say anything about the giants because they have actually been a good team in the past and actually had their own stadium

James Steele 03-17-2010 01:05 AM

Yeah, those 4 consecutive SuperBowl appearances and AFC Championships are meaningless.

James Steele 03-17-2010 01:10 AM

I am biased though since I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, and Cowboys fans love the Buffalo Bills.

McLegend 03-17-2010 01:19 AM

I don't really care if the Giants or the Jets play in NJ. Totally irrelevant for my hate for the Giants.

Also think having 2 NFL Stadiums in the same city is a waste of money and space.

Gonzo 03-17-2010 01:19 AM

Nah but on a serious note, I would love it if the Giants played in New York state. I just don't think there has ever been a feasible situation come up after they moved to New Jersey.

Gonzo 03-17-2010 01:20 AM

Besides, the stadium is about as close to New York without being in New York as it possibly could be. You can see the city from the Meadowlands.

what about all the cities with two baseball stadiums or basketball arenas

yea but its still ridiculous that a team that says its from new york cant depend on that city/state to give them money to built a stadium

Of course it is. I think it is more indicative of the area though than the team. I can't blame either team for going to Jersey, they made a bid over New York in the '70s.

I'd be interested to know the background of the Bills stadium. They seem like a fan base that would be willing to assume the costs of a stadium. I don't really think city area residents would be willing to do that with the Giants or Jets, unfortunately. The god damn PSLs they're putting on the seats at this new complex at the Meadowlands is going to price out the average fan, but that's the way that these things get built now a days.

You play 81 baseball games at home. You play at most 12 home games inculding preseason. Huge difference there.

Also the Yankees and the Mets one year in the 70's shared Shea stadium... Can't do that today, because of expansion since then.

Also as of right now there isn't a City that holds two NBA teams besides LA and they share a building.

Gonzo 03-17-2010 01:39 AM

I guess Woody Johnson, the owner of the Jets, was pissed the Giants are getting the first game in the new joint. Goodell said something about having the Jets play at home that weekend too and play on Monday night instead. I gotta say, I don't understand his anger, because as a fan I don't think I would mind either Sunday or Monday. On one hand, you get the first overall game, on the other, you have the first Monday night prime time game.

Emperor Smeat 03-17-2010 01:52 AM

Forgot who it was on Around The Horn yesterday that gave the best solution to the Jets-Giants problem. He suggested the 1st game in the new stadium should have been Jets vs Giants since it would solve the problem of who gets to play there 1st since they would both be playing at the same time.

Only reason the old stadium never had this issue was because the Giants are older than the Jets by a good 40+ years in the NFL which explains why the stadium was named Giants stadium. Only fair to have Jets close the stadium since Giants opened the old stadium (even though no such thing as 2 NY/NJ teams in the 1920s).
