C.J. Wilson is pretty underrated.
love that guy. |
glad to see Pavano finally get his last night. he looks like a 70's porn star by the way.
Andy Pettite is my hero. the guy is just a machine in the playoffs. And Granderson is money right now. when he's hitting the way he is batting in the bottom of the lineup, it's tough to stop the Yanks |

duh, Granderson is batting 2nd. why am I thinking that he's batting 9th
|
Gardner's been great as well. he's the type of player we did not have in the mid 2000's. big threat on the base path
|
Granderson, Gardner, Swisher are the gamers that the Yankees had in the 90s but were missing in the 00s. They're the Scotty Brocious, Bernie Williams, and Paul O'Neill figures that fill in the gaps that are left by making a lineup full of stars.

Personally Im rooting for SF to beat Philly in the NCLS though it likely wont happen. Yankees/Giants has some history behind it and would be better than another Yanks/Phils WS. |
Fucking Berkman turning it on when it counts. I have a feeling he is going to blow up the rest of October.

Swisher calling Pettite and Berkman the Texas Two-Step

So much better with Swisher and Gardner on this team. Granderson too, although they paid a lot for him. |
Here we go Rojos here we go

The return of Chase Knoblauch is not a good thing to see.

Once the playoffs are over, the MLBPA wants to have a meeting with the umpires union to discuss the issue of bad umpires, instant replay, and other stuff. This year had a spike in complaints by players and teams over the quality of umpires and other umpire-related issues.
The players want a better system to reward and punish umpires to make games and umpire quality better similar to the NFL and less like the NBA in public perception. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5662238 |
Nice job by Oswalt handling the 345 hitters.
|
I would really prefer if both or at least one of these pitch trax were taken off the screen.
|
I hope the guy whistling on every goddamn pitch in the Reds/Phillies game gets cancer and dies.
|
A Yankees/Phillies World Series is now confirmed.
Fuck baseball. |
Wow
|
...JAY BRUCE!
...You've got to be kidding me. |
Damn
|
My deepest sympathies Mr. Olajuwan

I'll take Nervous Teams for 500, Alex

Chase Utley is the luckiest person alive.
Gets on first via ball that may not have even hit him. Gets on second despite the throw probably beating him. Then he appears to miss third on the way around the bags. Ridiculous. |
The Reds are just juggling the ball all over the place.
Jay Bruce has to feel reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally small right now. |
I do think Utley's foot hit in the corner of 3b. I do think the ball hit him. I am not sure if he was really safe at 2nd though.
Very nice either way. |
I wonder how big of a role the waving of the white towels had on Bruce dropping the ball.
|
Life is funny.
|
Let's give the Reds credit though. I didn't think it was humanly possible for them to lose a game in a more demoralizing way than they did in game 1. But they found a way. That's clutch baseball guys.
|
That's pretty sweet.
|
Bittersweet, actually. To see a team lose like that, it sucks. Not a Reds fan, but still.
|
Good start GIANTS
|
FEAR THE BEARD!
|
The Beard got shaved.
Thank u. |
god Kyle Farnsworth sucks
|
good work there Buster
|
Wagner :( sucks if that's how his career ends
If his injury is bad enough to pull him off of the NLDS roster, he'd become ineligible for the NLCS. Which means the Braves would have to make the WS for him to even have a chance to pitch again. |
That was a big time double play. One might even say clutch.
|
Holy fuck Rick Ankiel.
|
"Destroyer Of World's" Rick Ankiel

That's a nice little moment.
