C.J. Wilson is pretty underrated.

love that guy.

Loose Cannon 10-08-2010 10:26 AM

glad to see Pavano finally get his last night. he looks like a 70's porn star by the way.

Andy Pettite is my hero. the guy is just a machine in the playoffs. And Granderson is money right now. when he's hitting the way he is batting in the bottom of the lineup, it's tough to stop the Yanks

I pretty much have no respect for the Rays. It makes me a bit sick to watch a playoff game in that park tbh. Ugh to their fans, or lack thereof

You would never see Fenway empty out in the 6th when the Red Sox are down 5-0. Same with Yankee Stadium, completely disheartening if you were a Ray.

Loose Cannon 10-08-2010 10:40 AM

duh, Granderson is batting 2nd. why am I thinking that he's batting 9th

Loose Cannon 10-08-2010 10:54 AM

Gardner's been great as well. he's the type of player we did not have in the mid 2000's. big threat on the base path

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2010 11:19 AM

Granderson, Gardner, Swisher are the gamers that the Yankees had in the 90s but were missing in the 00s. They're the Scotty Brocious, Bernie Williams, and Paul O'Neill figures that fill in the gaps that are left by making a lineup full of stars.

To be fair, they were playing the Orioles and it was a monday-wednesday series, but still. I did like the fact they Os won 2 of 3 via shutouts in that series, including the night they gave away 20,000 tickets. Traditionally the Os have played like shit in Tropicana Field so it was nice.

Personally Im rooting for SF to beat Philly in the NCLS though it likely wont happen. Yankees/Giants has some history behind it and would be better than another Yanks/Phils WS.

Triple Naitch 10-08-2010 11:59 AM

Fucking Berkman turning it on when it counts. I have a feeling he is going to blow up the rest of October.

Innovator 10-08-2010 12:09 PM

Swisher calling Pettite and Berkman the Texas Two-Step

yes.

So much better with Swisher and Gardner on this team. Granderson too, although they paid a lot for him.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2010 06:38 PM

Here we go Rojos here we go

McLegend 10-08-2010 06:41 PM

The return of Chase Knoblauch is not a good thing to see.

Emperor Smeat 10-08-2010 06:54 PM

Once the playoffs are over, the MLBPA wants to have a meeting with the umpires union to discuss the issue of bad umpires, instant replay, and other stuff. This year had a spike in complaints by players and teams over the quality of umpires and other umpire-related issues.

The players want a better system to reward and punish umpires to make games and umpire quality better similar to the NFL and less like the NBA in public perception.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2010 06:59 PM

Nice job by Oswalt handling the 345 hitters.

McLegend 10-08-2010 07:26 PM

I would really prefer if both or at least one of these pitch trax were taken off the screen.

Evil Vito 10-08-2010 08:47 PM

I hope the guy whistling on every goddamn pitch in the Reds/Phillies game gets cancer and dies.

Evil Vito 10-08-2010 09:00 PM

A Yankees/Phillies World Series is now confirmed.

Fuck baseball.

RoXer 10-08-2010 09:00 PM

Wow

Aguakate 10-08-2010 09:01 PM

...JAY BRUCE!

...You've got to be kidding me.

Jeritron 10-08-2010 09:01 PM

Damn

Jeritron 10-08-2010 09:01 PM

My deepest sympathies Mr. Olajuwan

Jeritron 10-08-2010 09:07 PM

I'll take Nervous Teams for 500, Alex

Evil Vito 10-08-2010 09:09 PM

Chase Utley is the luckiest person alive.

Gets on first via ball that may not have even hit him. Gets on second despite the throw probably beating him. Then he appears to miss third on the way around the bags.

Ridiculous.

Aguakate 10-08-2010 09:09 PM

The Reds are just juggling the ball all over the place.

Jay Bruce has to feel reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally small right now.

McLegend 10-08-2010 09:14 PM

I do think Utley's foot hit in the corner of 3b. I do think the ball hit him. I am not sure if he was really safe at 2nd though.

Very nice either way.

Aguakate 10-08-2010 09:15 PM

I wonder how big of a role the waving of the white towels had on Bruce dropping the ball.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2010 09:26 PM

Life is funny.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2010 09:30 PM

Let's give the Reds credit though. I didn't think it was humanly possible for them to lose a game in a more demoralizing way than they did in game 1. But they found a way. That's clutch baseball guys.

McLegend 10-08-2010 09:52 PM

That's pretty sweet.

Aguakate 10-08-2010 09:55 PM

Bittersweet, actually. To see a team lose like that, it sucks. Not a Reds fan, but still.

Tb1 10-08-2010 10:21 PM

Good start GIANTS

Skippord 10-09-2010 12:19 AM

FEAR THE BEARD!

Aguakate 10-09-2010 12:27 AM

The Beard got shaved.

Thank u.

Skippord 10-09-2010 01:05 AM

god Kyle Farnsworth sucks

Skippord 10-09-2010 01:06 AM

good work there Buster

Evil Vito 10-09-2010 01:07 AM

Wagner :( sucks if that's how his career ends

If his injury is bad enough to pull him off of the NLDS roster, he'd become ineligible for the NLCS. Which means the Braves would have to make the WS for him to even have a chance to pitch again.

McLegend 10-09-2010 01:07 AM

That was a big time double play. One might even say clutch.

DaveWadding 10-09-2010 01:11 AM

Holy fuck Rick Ankiel.

Skippord 10-09-2010 01:12 AM

"Destroyer Of World's" Rick Ankiel

McLegend 10-09-2010 01:13 AM

That's a nice little moment.
