I just can't see Drogba not starting. And is Crespo still on the team?

The Miz 07-08-2006 07:37 PM

There were talks of selling Crespo to an Italian club, I don't think anything has happened yet though

NO LAMPARD WTFFFFFFFFF

He's Mr. I play every minute of every Prem game for Chelsea even when everyone else gets rotated.

BCWWF 07-09-2006 02:01 AM

With Ballack and Shevchenko, Chelsea really just has too many players right now. Regardless, as good as Shevchenko is, Drogba is still the man. I hope he doesn't get moved because of that.

Ballack is better than Lampard at what Lampard does. Makalele is irreplaceable as the holder really, even at his age. And Essien, even though he can be a dirty bastard, has a phenomenal engine and can do a bit of both.

Which leaves Mr. Most Shots At The World Cup 0 Goals

I'm sure they'd be happy to ship him to St James' :shifty:

Y2Ant 07-09-2006 09:04 AM

LOL Ronaldo wants to leave united cause he says he can't face Rooney in training

I don't want him to leave, he needs to come back to England so he can play in the Premiership and get the shit kicked out of him every week, the little faggot :(

The Mask 07-09-2006 09:31 AM

isn't robben being a bit of a smacked arse and fucking off?

BCWWF 07-09-2006 01:32 PM

I thought Ronaldo wanted to leave England before the World Cup even started? He seems like he would fit in better in Spain or Italy anyway though.

Rooney doesn't want him to go. Everything is cool with them. I don't want him to go either. Poor kid is being buried for nothing.

Diver? What's that saying about throwing stones in glass buildings? Joe Cole is the biggest diver in the world. Steven "Mr Honesty" Gerrard dived to get a penalty against Hungray and the ENGLISH announcers fucking praised it. Fuck even Wayne Rooney dived against Arsenal last season to break their undefeated record.

The Mask 07-09-2006 07:13 PM

don't forget henry

Rob 07-09-2006 07:35 PM

Jim Holden wrote a great piece about Sir Al in the Express today.

In short, he is a tosser.

yianni 07-11-2006 10:40 AM

I hear that the Italian PM is saying that they should sweep the domestic club scandals under the carpet to not tarnish Italian football following the national team winning the World Cup. Of course though that wouldn't be interference form the government, would it? And then Greece gets booted by FIFA for Government interference!!!!!! The double-standards is incredible! FUCK THE ITALIAN AND FIFA CUNTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having said all this as I have said earlier FIFA will let Greece off. Still its the fucking principle of the thing - it's one rule for Greece and it's another for other countries.

toxic rooster 07-11-2006 12:29 PM

Pretty sure Juve, Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina did a good job of tarnishing Italian football.

yianni 07-11-2006 12:40 PM

Italian football has been fucked way before this scandal.

Mr. Monday Morning 07-11-2006 02:26 PM

Reading have signed Seol

Kennedy has fucked off to Palace

What a great day.

BCWWF 07-11-2006 02:56 PM

I heard Juventus accepted a relegation to Serie B? Don't they want to move all four teams down, and Juventus all the way down to Serie C? If nothing else, at least it will give the Italian league a different feel for a while. Juventus and AC Milan have dominated for a while now, but outside of Inter and Roma there is plenty of room for a smaller club to step up. That is something I wish there was more of, it seems like every major league has the same five teams on top every single year.

Y2Ant 07-11-2006 03:37 PM

Who said anything about diving?

Lots of players dive, but none of them are as big of a faggot as Cristiano Ronaldo, prancing about like a complete retard and crying whenever he loses in a big game. I could go on with reasons to hate him but i'd be here all day. Oh and I also hate his face, as Pricey very cleverly pointed out.

You just know he wants to fuck off to Spain anyway, it would be a better fit for him. I can see him going to Real, since Barcelona actually have decent players that he wouldn't have a chance to take the place of, and since Zidane retired :o

It does, that's one thing I hate about the game. I don't think it would take too long for Juve to get back up, either.

Joey Slugs 07-11-2006 07:21 PM

what's a better game: FIFA 06 or Winning Eleven 9?

Stan Lazaridis Chooses Glory

Qantas Socceroo Stan Lazaridis has agreed to terms and will be joining Perth Glory FC for the next two Hyundai A-League seasons.

Winning Eleven, landslide_style.

diothoir 07-11-2006 11:09 PM

If Winning Eleven is Pro Evo, that go for it.

BCWWF 07-11-2006 11:55 PM

Oh wow, once you play Winning Eleven you can't go back to FIFA. The only thing that FIFA has is the rights to all of the leagues, but Winning Eleven has the who La Liga and Serie A and I think the Dutch league too. Some of the bigger teams are on there as well, like Chelsea.

BCWWF 07-12-2006 02:29 PM

Lol at your league being called the Hyundai A-League

yianni 07-12-2006 02:31 PM

It's actually the gAy-League, and they don't like ethnics. Y2C is their number 1 fan.

Perth Glory are ok though.

Dazz 07-12-2006 07:03 PM

Fucking hell, I spenmt all last season moaning about how much Lampard shoots, he seriously is the most greedy cunt ever, and Ballack isn't much better, he always fucking shoots and is more of an embarrassment at diving then any of our players.

FUCK OFF YOU KRAUT.

Huuuuuuuth, I hope the deal if definitely off, FUCKING STAY YOU KRAUT.

Man I'm so glad that when I wanted to take Rob Harvey up on his Lampard wont score bet that he didnt respond to it. Really thought that the selfish cunt would score at least once, you lot get to see it a few games a season, I see it every fucking game.

What a goal by Joey Cole though

Rob 07-12-2006 07:05 PM

It's the A-League and the major sponser is Korean shit car maker Hyundai - therefore the Hyundai A-League. It's something we got off the yanks.

Red Bull New York :o

BCWWF 07-16-2006 01:32 PM

Hyundai A-League

yianni 07-16-2006 01:53 PM

Downunder, mark my words on this - South will be in the gAy-League within a few years, perhaps looking slightly different, but they will be there. They will also have a South Melbourne FC in the Victorian Premier League, meaning there will be football all year round at Lakeside and which also means the promising lads in the State League team get promoted straight to the gAy-League side without other gAy-League twats only spending max $3000 on a transfer for them (those are the max these state league teams can get even if they've developed a player from their childhood years.   )

How do I know this? Let's just say that once you flash some cash in front of a Jew, he can't say no to your demands. :D

But yeah can't wait to play the Glory again.

XL 07-20-2006 12:42 PM

So O'Leary has gone! That's one annoyance taken care of!

As a Villa fan I have a lot on my plate at the moment...

Of course the fear of keping DOL on board has been erradicated but I must address it...It I actually liked DOL and was happy when he joined us. His assertion that he was not a "cheque book" manager seemed to work for him in his first season at the helm (6th place finish) but then it all went downhill...and the excuses came...the "small squad", "the injuries", "the unlucky conceding of a goal" and to top it the "not enough investment/funds". What a way to prove you don't need huge amounts of money to suceed! All in all I'm glad he's gone.

Now people will call for the head of Ellis (to which I totally agree) blaming him for said lack of funds. Once again I totally agree with this assertion BUT a manager should be able to get the best out of any set of players and thats something O'Leary never did. This is why I'm hoping for Alan Curbishly...a man that worked wonders at Charlton with a reletively small squad, a lack of huge funds and only a mildly talented squad!

If we can't afford to invest, we need to get the best out of the players that we already have. One of Villa's best pluses is our academy and abundance of young talent coming through, so lets use it!

So aside from the poor finish of last season, the fear of relegation this season, the club in a mess before the start of season, the search for a new manager, getting rid of Ellis...what else is bugging me?

THE SHIRT!

The kit looks shit this season. I didn't think it could get much worse that DWS Investments which looked like we had COWS written across our chests, but, I was wrong.

When I heard that our new sponsor was a company called 32Red.com I looked them up and found that there company consignia was pretty decent.

So imagine my dissapointment when I saw the kits with 32RED.com blazened in block capitals like this...
http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/4...000104bqp6.jpg

I know this is of little concern, but I am going to have to wear this shirt! It looks cheap, it looks basic, it looks...well...it doesn't look premiership!

This is how I imagined the shirt to look...

http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/2...illakituk7.jpg

a lot better I'm sure you will agree!

I think it's a case that given all the other shit at Villa, I don't even get to look good through it!:nono:

CSL 07-20-2006 01:09 PM

Meh, the new shirt doesn't look too bad although the proper 32Red logo does look way better. And as for 'It doesn't look premiership', you may not have to worry about that for much longer... :p

P.S the 06-07 Football thread is here

XL 07-21-2006 09:42 AM
