RDD really had his heart set on AL Central Champion swag this year.

Toronto fans of most sports are awful. I find most of my friends aren't obnoxious we just want the team to do well, but so many people are just so dumb. If the Jays lose to Texas it'll be the end of the world and they'll all be bums after being hailed as gods 2 weeks ago.

Can't deal with all the "trends", remember the #lovethisteam from a couple of years ago when Anthopolous made those signings... I kept saying they weren't going to be good because it takes a couple of years to form a team, especially because they just picked up a bunch of question marks and a knuckleballer, new to the AL. And everyone thought they were a lock for the world series because nobody understands sports in this city. The fans and the coverage here damned near make me hate the Leafs, but thanks to Doug Gilmour, Wendell Clark, Cujo and Gary Roberts, I'm stuck for life. I just avoid a lot of it still, I refuse to watch an inferior product on the ice or the baseball field. If the team is competing and "in the mix" I'll watch them flounder in big time situations because that's what it's all about, but I'm not going to watch multi billion dollar corporation run teams put a bunch of Barry Horowitz level jobber teams on the ice or the baseball diamond. Yet every year, like battered wives, Toronto fans come out with all of their gusto and it is fucking annoying. At least with the Jays, the fans stop going to the games when they suck ass.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-05-2015 11:50 AM

Also, watching Minnesota vs St Louis from 1987 game 7 on youtube, AWESOME FUCKING GAME! Frank Viola was the man.

-edit- and any time Ozzie Smith is involved I just think of him going through the neverending pit in the Simpsons episode. He was awesome too, though.

CC Sabathia is checking himself into an alcohol rehabilition center effective immediately and he is out for the playoffs.

ClockShot 10-05-2015 01:41 PM

SO THAT'S HIS PROBLEM.

ClockShot 10-05-2015 01:44 PM

And in expected news, Matt Williams got fired as Nationals manager.

Bet on the Cubs for that Wild Card game. Arrieta is not going to let up a run.

owenbrown 10-06-2015 08:44 PM

ugh.... why can't the Cardinals go 0-162 one year

Because they have a good team, coaching, farm system and fans buying tickets and merch. They didn't sell the system out to keep Pujols.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 09:11 PM

Shutup Damo.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 09:17 PM

First time seeing Keuchel pitch tonight... dude is dealing. Tanaka is battling, but hanging in there.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 09:17 PM

and as I said that, Gomez just put one out.

Evil Vito 10-06-2015 09:24 PM

Yanks still have some time to score some runs off of Wyatt Family member Dallas Keuchel

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 09:32 PM

Archer sounds like a nice guy and I like his enthusiasm, but he is a brutal commentator haha. I want the rhythm of my Jewish Torontontian Brethren Dan Shulman. Fuck this random woman as well.

poopfromweiner dude 10-06-2015 09:33 PM

I get more excited when Bird or Gregorious comes up as opposed to Gardner or A-Rod :(

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 09:35 PM

bird is a beast

Innovator 10-06-2015 10:00 PM

GOT A HIT!

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-06-2015 10:06 PM

Alot of people didn't even want him to play but now Aroid is up in a playoff game down 2 with 2 on.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-06-2015 10:07 PM

And he pops out to Center.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:07 PM

Haha fuck you A Rod

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:11 PM

"A-Rod?... More like A-Hole"- My dad

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:32 PM

I get Keuchel was tired, but why take him out if he's been owning the Yanks all night? At least let him pitch to McCann.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-06-2015 10:36 PM

6 is all you need from a starter. Quality start against the Yankees in the "playoffs."

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:39 PM

well 6 innings and 3 runs is a "quality" start. He shut them out, beyond a quality start, and their bullpen is shakey at best as has been stated. Why not eek whatever outs you can get out of your stud whom you've trusted all season.

Evil Vito 10-06-2015 10:40 PM

Yeah feel like turning to the pen here is bound to backfire. Astros pen has been shit this past month.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-06-2015 10:41 PM

He's pitching on short notice. He pitched 6.0 four days ago.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:41 PM

Maybe Hinch was worried about bringing them in with runners on?

That's why I said let him pitch to McCann and see where it goes. Guys have pitched 7 innings on short notice before, not at all unheard of, and he's not throwing power pitches either.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-06-2015 10:43 PM

Sipp can sleep easy tonight, didn't make that easy on himself, but made a great pitch to bird to get strike 3.

Evil Vito 10-06-2015 10:43 PM

Keuchel isn't going to start again until Sunday at the latest. There's plenty of time to rest. Feel like you should leave him out there until he tells you he's gassed.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-06-2015 10:44 PM

He does average 7 innings per start though so it is a bit odd.

The only way a pitcher tells you he is gassed is by giving up hits/runs. There's no way he's gonna say "Hey Coach I've got nothing left." Sometimes it's too late.
