That looks awful.

GD 11-08-2012 01:23 AM

On the contrary, Vince McMahon is very high on the character. According to the dirt sheets, the world titles will be unified at next year's Wrestlemania. Fandango, Ryback and The Rock are being considered.

Fignuts 11-08-2012 01:24 AM

Vince McMahon was high on the Gobbledy Gooker. What's your point?

Alberto Del Rio playing the face.

I think he could pull it off. They should do it since his heel act is pretty much run dry.

Interesting didn't know NXT was doing any house shows.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-08-2012 04:46 AM

WWE is planning an episode of the Soup to air 11/26 on USA Network. Joel McHale FTW.

I was there for that one. It was when Cena/Orton/HHH was wrestling at WM. it was I think the second to last Raw before it.

Blakeamus 11-08-2012 10:32 AM

Triple H was granted to pick their opponents.

#1-norm-fan 11-08-2012 11:19 AM

I remember the week before on Raw when Triple H announced that and thinking how genius it was that someone was using the old "pick your opponent's opponent" thing in a "real" manner.

There is a meeting set for 11/9 with WWE officials and officials at Millennium Stadium (74,500 capacity) in Cardiff, Wales, over the idea of a mega-show, perhaps a PPV event.

WWE hasn’t done a worldwide PPV from the U.K. since SummerSlam in 1992,which when it did a disappointing buy rate, it was blamed on it not airing live and the results being out. I can assure you that had almost nothing to do with it because the number of people who knew results ahead of time or knew it was taped was minuscule. Today, the situation would be different.

They haven’t done a PPV for the U.K. market only since 2002.

They’ve also had meetings with a stadium in London and Old Trafford, a soccer stadium in Manchester, that holds 75,000.

Not bad.

If the WWE are really thinking of bringing back UK exclusive PPV's, then I might very well decide to go to one of them first, before heading off all the way to a WrestleMania.

Also, I like how Yurple has been added to the cover, along with Mae Young's son.

Surprised Golddust is getting the most of any wrestler

I don't think Drew McIntyre will be on Raw for a while.

He said on Twitter today that his mum passed away on Saturday. :(

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Angela Anne Galloway passed away on Sat 3rd of November 2012with her family by her side, no words were needed (cont) <a href="http://t.co/pl9YnbNO" title="http://tl.gd/juftdv">tl.gd/juftdv</a></p>&mdash; Drew McIntyre (@TheDrewMcIntyre) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheDrewMcIntyre/status/266642106787975168" data-datetime="2012-11-08T20:43:26+00:00">November 8, 2012</a></blockquote>

Even though it shouldn't effect me at all, I feel weird just knowing that I was sitting pretty close to his mum and dad when I went to the Glasgow house show back in April.

Drew even pointed them out to the crowd during his promo and the spotlight that went on them, I was just outside of it, and now just knowing that the woman that was sitting close to me, is now dead is giving me a weird feeling. :-\

not a fair assessment..... WAY more non-fans watch the SB just for the half-time show and couldn't give 2 fucks about the game..... if the SB were on PPV, the majority of these viewers would not pay the $50 for the game just for half-time.....I don't see too many single housewives shelling out $50 for Mania when they have no interest in wrestling..... hardcore fans will watch no matter what.....that's just my view.....

#1-norm-fan 11-08-2012 09:39 PM

Sure it's a fair assessment. I simply asked if you think it would be as big of a deal. It would surely affect interest if the Super Bowl was taped in advance and spoilers were available beforehand and you knew you weren't gonna get to experience it live as it happened. If people who aren't interested in football are gonna watch it anyway, so what? That's one small portion. You're right that WWE doesn't have that demographic. So what's it matter? It would definitely put a dent in interest for the majority of the people who would normally want to watch in either situation.

Replace Halftime show with commercials and I think you got it right.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-08-2012 09:44 PM

I can't watch the Superbowl with women. They just want to turn it to the PuppyBowl and fuck that horseshit.

Mr. Pierre 11-08-2012 10:05 PM

Speaking of "half-time"..I think it would be a good idea to start a half-time show for WrestleMania. Over the past few years, there have been some main event matches that haven't gotten good crowd reactions due to bad card placement, or the crowd just being drained.

For instance, let's say WM 29 has 9 total matches for a 4 hour program. Split the show up with 5 matches first, with an ideal opener, and a true main event (EX: Taker vs. Lesnar)

After Taker vs. Lesnar, give the crowd a breather, put on your musical performances, backstage fallout/reactions from the wrestlers, hype up the rest of the card, etc.

Then put on another sick pyro opening, and get the show started again and continue with the 4 remaining matches. Could really put a breath of fresh air into the show by splitting it into two acts.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-08-2012 10:19 PM

Maybe if they had way better taste in choosing musical guests. Although they do usually are ahead of the curb on generic themes. Whatever song is on WrestleMania is usually used for sports playoffs later in the year.

Droford 11-08-2012 10:22 PM

I was figuring part of vinces deal with the rolling stones was they'd show up at wm, but I think about it more and they don't fit wwe's demo

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-08-2012 10:34 PM

They should try to get The Boss. Although I figured they will be getting Angels & Airwaves since that's who is doing the current WrestleMania promo theme song. I'm ok with that.

Droford 11-08-2012 10:50 PM

The best part of that attitude blu-ray set would be the lack of blurring hopefully though the green paint over the f on the cover makes me think that might not be the case

James Steele 11-08-2012 11:03 PM

Please tell me that isn't a real cover for an Attitude Era dvd.

Droford 11-08-2012 11:13 PM

Watching the video, and it synced up perfectly with the .gif loop.

Also, that cover has the same late-90s production quality of Attitude-era programming.
