TBS put up the stats and not only are the Rangers almost doubled the hits the Yankees have this series but also scoring 75% of the time (compared to almost 1/3 for Yankees).

Ron Washington taking out his pitcher early ended up saving the game for the Rangers since Yankees were hot early into the game and then fell flat while Rangers got hotter as the game went on.

Only thing worthwhile out of this was Carton doing a Jerry Manuel impression if he managed the Yankees.

YOUR Hero 10-20-2010 10:26 AM

Jeter's still one of my favourite players. Seeing him get a couple solid hits and the Yankees losing. Well it's kinda like the best thing possible. Jeter and Swisher I root for those guys...

Loose Cannon 10-20-2010 10:30 AM

classic example of a team just wanting it more then the other. Rangers are playing amazing baseball right now. Yankees don't even look like they belong half the time. 1 Out bases loaded in the 8th and they can't even manufacture a run? That's terrible.

The bullpen has imploded, Tex goes down, nobody get hit when it counts.

Texas deserves it thus far. I just hope we can win one in the Bronx.

By the way, it's awesome seeing more empy seats behind home plate after the 7th.

Yankees don't have that edge like they did last year. Somethings been missing all year. Amirite?

Splaya 10-20-2010 12:28 PM

Its funny because Berkman made 2 comments in a yahoo sports columnist's column today.

It’s pitching,” he finally said. “Pitching. Pitching. Pitching. I don’t think any answer is simpler than that. The postseason is all pitching. It’s been that way for 150 years.”

I agree with him on that but here's the deal. It's all about getting the clutch hits like LC stated. The bullpen has failed them immensely. But this was the comment that really got me.

They are nervous,” Berkman said of the Rangers’ bullpen, the one that faltered in Game 1 but has come back to shut down New York ever since. “You can see it in their command. It’s not perfect. They are walking people. Everyone is dealing with cotton mouth.”

I don't know if I see nervousness there Lance. I see you guys getting flat shut down since game 1 by that bullpen. And by the way Lance, don't forget how you guys were embarassed by Cliff Lee

Splaya 10-20-2010 12:33 PM

In the 2 games he has played since Game 1, Berkman is 2 for 7 with an RBI. He does, however, have 5 LOB

Splaya 10-20-2010 12:39 PM

Let's look a little bit further into the numbers.

Since the epic collapse last Friday, the Rangers bullpen stat line is as follows

11 IP 3 H 8 BB 10K

Yes the walks are a little high, but the Yankess have been shut down

People from all over the Bay Area do this when the Giants are in the playoffs.

Nark Order 10-20-2010 08:35 PM

I have a feeling that this drastically going to effect our ranking on the next "Assman Ranks TPWW" list. Fuck.

RoXer 10-20-2010 08:37 PM

Was really hoping ylou would get into a head on collision

Nark Order 10-20-2010 08:40 PM

Luscious Ylou wasn't even with us.

DaveWadding 10-20-2010 08:49 PM

in the next video, you should make fun of the Oakland A's.

Nark Order 10-20-2010 08:52 PM

I think we both know that the Oakland A's make fun of themselves just fine.

Dragon 10-20-2010 08:57 PM

Yankees looked good today. Hopefully the game got their offense on track. If the Yankees push this to Game 7 I feel like they have just as good a chance as the Rangers, Cliff Lee or not. Its not like they haven't hit him before in the playoffs, they got 5 runs off him last year in the WS. Hughes needs to put up a big game in Texas before thinking about Game 7 though.

ClockShot 10-20-2010 08:58 PM

Still alive after game #5.

Aguakate 10-20-2010 09:01 PM

You knew they'd win today with Sabathia on the mound. But the Rangers have Lee coming up.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-20-2010 10:24 PM

Looks like San Francisco has some of the most hardcore bandwagon fans in the majors.

McLegend 10-20-2010 10:25 PM

Victorino is a moron, and a really big moron. I strongly dislike him.

Who fucked Victorino's wife? Ibanez?

McLegend 10-20-2010 10:30 PM

I would assume it was Victorino who fucked his own wife.

Triple Naitch 10-20-2010 10:30 PM

No, Werth supposedly fucked Utley's wife.

Supreme Olajuwon 10-20-2010 10:30 PM

The baggy Phillies jersey strikes again.

Skippord 10-20-2010 10:33 PM

madison bumgarner looks like an axe murderer

Skippord 10-20-2010 10:35 PM

Aguakate 10-20-2010 10:37 PM

This series has all the makings of the Phillies winning the next 3 games and the Giants just dying. Hope not.

McLegend 10-20-2010 10:40 PM

SHUT UP

OMG this inning is huge

Um, excuse me, but would a bandwagon fan still have the pricetag on his newly purchased Giants hat?

I didn't think so...

RoXer 10-20-2010 10:47 PM

So take THAT

McLegend 10-20-2010 10:53 PM

I can live with 1 run there.

Even if you don't agree with me, there's no need to be obscene.

I hate living in a world where I fear Cody Ross.

Nark Order 10-20-2010 11:08 PM

I don't even watch baseball really. I just wanted to mention Supreme in a video.
