What Surprised You Most About WrestleMania 26?

No poll yet, but for me it was definitely Swagger winning MITB.

SOCCER LEGS 03-29-2010 03:01 PM

edge losing

Innovator 03-29-2010 03:03 PM

Sthwagger winning MITB, I thought Kofi or Christian would take it.

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:03 PM

Swagger

CWK 03-29-2010 03:07 PM

All I have to say is that its about time Swagger's push got back into high gear. I thought he would be a main eventer by now especially since how they pushed him so hard when he was ECW champ. They definitely have a diamond in the rough with that guy

Volare 03-29-2010 03:08 PM

Yeah, Swagger came out of left field. I still think Edge losing got me. Especially since this is 2 years in a row the winner of the Royal Rumble has lost.

3. Cena lost in 2008 as well

Lock Jaw 03-29-2010 03:12 PM

Definitely Jack Swangle.

I have been corrected. Thanks bro!

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:13 PM

I think Swagger might be the first to cash in and lose.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-29-2010 03:15 PM

Just HOW good HBK Vs. Taker was. Last year I didn't cheer and gasp. I felt silly afterwards.

CWK 03-29-2010 03:19 PM

I am begging for a name change with Jack Swagger. I just can't picture a World Champion named Jack, unless it was the 1930's or something

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:20 PM

I think Swagger is a bigger problem.

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:21 PM

World Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Swagger

CWK 03-29-2010 03:22 PM

how bout...... Swag

James Steele 03-29-2010 03:22 PM

I was most surprised by Jack Swagger wearing gear he obviously stole from Kurt Angle.

Jack Swagger is a really shitty version of Kurt Angle

If they do change Swagger's name, I think they should go with one of the one's Stone Cold almost used....

Ice Dagger
Fangman Frost
Otto Van Ruthless

CWK 03-29-2010 03:32 PM

Let's snap out of it, Surprising Wrestlemania 26 moments is the topic lol

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:38 PM

How about we snap into a slim jims

Cuse8 03-29-2010 03:41 PM

Matt Striker announcing Edge's first in ring name was "Sexton Hardcastle"

That just about made my night

The Franchise 03-29-2010 03:41 PM

'Future Endeavored'

Rammsteinmad 03-29-2010 03:42 PM

Swagger easily.

Edge was quite surprising, but wasn't really 'shocking' coz it easily could have gone either way.

I said this to my friends during the match.

Swagger since the popular bet was either Drew McIntyre or Christian with maybe Shelton or Matt Hardy as the dark horse pick.

Evil Vito 03-29-2010 11:54 PM

Definitely Swagger.

Mr. Nerfect 03-29-2010 11:58 PM

Jack Swagger winning. It was a pleasant surprise. I love me some Jacky Swagz, and he's like the love child between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. More power to him. I hope he cashes in his title shot successfully, as I think he could be a major asset to the company.

Edge not winning the World Heavyweight Title also surprised the crap out of me. There were limited options in that match, though, and I don't think anyone really called Swagger winning MITB. It's a good day to be a Swagger fan.

Actually, as gay as it sounds, it's actually a pretty fun game to guess what guys will do attire-wise for WrestleMania. That game sort of exists with Rey Mysterio and his get-ups, but since almost everyone gets new attire for WrestleMania these days, it can become a bit of fun.

Swagger wearing the Angle outfit was funny. I called Kofi Kingston getting white trunks and Edge wearing red pants against Jericho. It was also surprising to see MVP in attire that wasn't completely crappy. The dude has needed a new combat-suit for a long time.

What? Jack is still a fairly common name.

Maybe if his name was farnsworth or something.

Aguakate 03-30-2010 02:39 AM

I really didnt think HBK would lose to Taker in clean fashion, clear cut, finisher and 1, 2 ,3...i thought that if Taker DID win, someone would get involved.

Skippord 03-30-2010 02:47 AM

Thwagger

Mr. Nerfect 03-30-2010 04:33 AM

Yeah, Jack is a fine name. Swagger is the only odd one. Once he is the WWE Champion, it won't matter, though. :shifty:

Skippord 03-30-2010 04:34 AM

Why did they give a guy with a lisp a last name that starts with S, I still don't get it

Mr. Nerfect 03-30-2010 04:37 AM

Maybe they do plan on making Swagger a joke?

Jeritron 03-30-2010 04:45 AM

To be honest, I really hope Swagger loses no matter who he cashes in against.

I'm a Swagger fan, but I wouldn't mind this at all as long as he gets a good rub. I'm optimistic.

Jeritron 03-30-2010 04:55 AM

I just think they should cash it in quickly this year, and the gimmick of everyone winning is getting a bit old.
Most importantly, I don't think Swagger winning the title so soon would do anyone any real favors. People were shocked and dissapointed when he won a title SHOT.
I don't even know that they should crown a new first time champion this year, but if they do there are a couple guys I think are in front of him (Christian)

I just think they should build him up a bit more. I don't know, I'm all for new stars and I was perfectly fine with everything they did with Sheamus.
For Swagger I feel a bit different. He's not a monster, and they haven't pushed him in a long time.

I actually thought they were going to go through with him cashing in and losing when they teased it tonight. I thought he was going to tap when Cena went for the STFU, but I didn't realize the match hadn't officially began.

Juan 03-30-2010 06:20 AM

I think him continuing to try and cash in like on Raw would be a good angle for Swagger, and even though he will probably lose, i think it can only help him in the long run.

Jeritron 03-30-2010 06:26 AM

I wouldn't be shocked if they had him enter into a fued with Orton now, and lose the case.

Mr. Nerfect 03-30-2010 07:22 AM

The thing about Money in the Bank winners losing is that it wastes the opportunity to create a new champion, but it also just doesn't make sense from a kayfabe view. The guy cashing in has the advantage -- so if they fuck it up, they look like the world's biggest idiot. Now if the guy announced ahead of time that he wanted a match, but he wanted to prove that he could do it traditionally -- then I think a loss would be alright.

Swagger is a heel, though, so I don't think it's really going to work with him -- unless they plan on turning him, or giving him a heel gimmick where he is trying to prove himself to get him more and more over. That could work. Besides that, I just can not see a way to have Swagger cash-in, lose, and not look like the world's biggest joke.

Now him losing the case is not a bad idea. It seems a bit redundant to give Swagger the win in the first place, though; but what it does is allow Swagger to call himself a former winner of Money in the Bank at WrestleMania, claim he was screwed out of his title shot, and keep building momentum over time. Orton winning the briefcase would be pretty cool -- especially if he cashed it in on Jericho, or something. I could definitely see Orton and Jericho feuding over the summer. Hell, if they do it right, eventually a Randy Orton vs. Jack Swagger match could be worth something in its own right.

Jordan 03-30-2010 07:25 AM

Swagger won so that the gimmick would have realism, he will lose, as it should be.

Gonna have to go with Swagger winning on this one. It wasn't "shocking" or anything per se...I just wasn't expecting him to win.

Blue Demon 03-30-2010 08:15 AM

And no one chose Batista tapping??????????

:shifty:

Droford 03-30-2010 09:29 AM

I voted for Swagger winning but right behind that was how lame the set was. While the Pyramid of Trons was pretty cool, when it wasn't in use it turned into what looked like stones making it look like some sort of huge Castle/Pyramid hybrid. Really was disapointed in it.

Ermaximus 03-30-2010 10:19 AM

We found out Batista likes fishsticks. :shifty:

Mr. Nerfect 03-30-2010 10:23 AM

That was very shocking.

Jakob Synn 03-30-2010 10:56 AM

Swagger will be the first one to cash it in and not win a title.

Hanso Amore 03-30-2010 11:24 AM

I think he will keep trying to cash it in at like every show only to bail before he does. He will do this for months until one day he does and wins the title. If thye gave Sheamus a run they will give Swagger a run.

Hanso has a point.

Hanso Amore 03-30-2010 12:34 PM

They are trying to "build new stars" and have guys just take the title and assume it gets them over.

Worked for Hogan, and that is about it.

Mr. Nerfect 03-30-2010 02:07 PM

I could see Swagger always trying to get the WWE Championship; and then he just decides to cash in against the World Heavyweight Champion and wins.

Xero 03-30-2010 02:08 PM

He should open the case and instead of finding a contract he finds the ECW title and just runs with that.

GD 03-30-2010 02:25 PM

Orton doing his classic Randy Orton pose on the top rope

I just kind of expected HHH to maybe run in during the HBK-Taker match, either to attack HBK and make him heel, or to attack Taker to try to help HBK
