NXT Thread for 3/30/10
 

Who'll be watching tonight? I'm looking forward to seeing how the voting works. I wonder if the writers have even figured it out yet. :)

I was a little reluctant to start it and wasn't sure how it'd go over, but I figured I'd give it a shot.

I think last week got jobbed because it was more or less a WM Hype show and it was taped the night before.

Tonight is the biggest night in the history of NXT!

To those who would rank Daniel Bryan Danielson miles and miles ahead of his NXT competition: Would you still rank him so highly if all you knew of him was what he's done in the WWE?

this is actually the first i've ever seen him, and i already think that based on his first match with jericho

Although I haven't seen any of his pre-NXT matches, I don't doubt for a second that Daniel Bryan Danielson is an incredibly gifted athlete. I know a lot of you are strongly behind him, and I'm sure there's a good reason for that. I actually hope he does very well in the "competition," and that he gets the push so many people are saying he deserves.

All I'm saying about him is that so far, based only on what he's been allowed to show us on NXT, he doesn't seem to be the standout on the show and doesn't seem leaps and bounds ahead of the other "rookies" at all. Again, I'm not doubting he has incredible talent, and I'm sure there's a lot more to him than what we've seen on NXT, but I mean right now he seems like a guy with an ordinary body and bland mannerisms who doesn't have any offense we haven't seen before.

There's a group of guys on the show who have great potential - Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett, Bryan, David Otunga and even Skip Sheffield are in that list. I'm just wondering how many of you would still be high on Daniel Bryan Danielson if all of you knew of him was NXT.

I dunno man, he's done some crazy shit, remember that guilliotine to an arm bar thingy?

But the other guys have been impressive too, and some of them seem to have more personality. I just don't see how, based only on what he's been allowed to do on NXT, people can think Brian is better than anyone else.

i actually like what they are doing with daniel bryan he's over without winning a match no way he is eliminated. David Otunga and Justin Gabriel seem to be good too. everyone else isnt really getting it done in my opinion

Suppose you never saw anything he did before NXT (as I haven't).
Would you look at what Daniel Brian Danielson has done so far on the show and still think, "he's the best one in this competition"? That's the point I'm trying to make. He doesn't standout on the show (yet).

You have to fill out the show somehow if ALL of the rookies are booked in one match. Those will probably be the only two matches tonight.

Cole is the worst.

If I just won NXT and could challenge any champion for their belt, I doubt my first choice would be the US Title even if I had a huge feud with the guy holding it.

Obviously if Bryan gets it, Jericho will be his choice should he still be the Champ in June/July.

If Win/Loss record is really a criteria in the Pro voting, there's no way Daniel Bryan should have been number one. Also, Slater and Otunga both got face fucked. Not that it matters. Just saying.
