What's Your Favorite Moniker?

"The Hitman", "Stone Cold", "The Viper"...just three examples of monikers used in wrestling.

But what's your favorite? And why?

That's more of a catchphrase.

I always liked "Above Average" Mike Sanders. Whilst all other wrestlers were saying thy were best, Mike was just better than standard.

Xero 04-19-2010 04:48 PM

No no, it's "Hulk Hogan, we comin' for you, Nigga!"

I can see how you can confuse "fuck" with "Hogan", though.

Jordan 04-19-2010 04:52 PM

"Big Daddy Cool"

"The Heartbreak Kid"

"The Slammy Award Winning..."

"The King of Harts"

"The Cerebral Assassin", "The Game"

"The Legend Killer" - Orton

he still uses captain charisma

Jeritron 04-19-2010 05:41 PM

I always loved The Cerebral Assassin.
The Phenom
I used to like The Rabid Wolverine
The Showstopper
The Human Suplex Machine
The Big Red Machine

Obviously forgetting a ton
I didn't really include Stone Cold and Hitman, because that's a part of their ring names. I guess I kind of seperate ring names from nicknames. For instance, Stole Cold's nicknames would be The Texas Rattlesnake, or The Bionic Redneck. Add those to the list.

Xero 04-19-2010 05:42 PM

Still need to figure out where they store the Regular Suplex Machine.

Christy "The Big Red Slut" Hemmy

St. Jimmy 04-19-2010 07:48 PM

I was always fond of "The Most Miserable Son of a Bitch on the Planet", it really suited Taz when his thing was choking guys out in under a minute. Joey Styles said it with such conviction.... Fit him much better than something like "THE MOOD'S ABOUT TO CHANGE" :shifty:

The Show Off 04-19-2010 11:10 PM

Here are some of my favorites...

"The Instant Classic"

"That Young Knock Out King"

"The Weapon of Mass Destruction"

"The Fallen Angel"

"The Greatest Man that Ever Lived"

"Big Sexy the Giant Killer"

"The Loose Cannon"

"Talent on Loan from God"

"The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal, Death Defying"

"The Whole Fucking Show"

"The Man of 1004 Holds"

**Rep to the first person to attach the proper wrestlers with these monikers**

Lock Jaw 04-19-2010 11:17 PM

"The Samoan Submission Machine" who uses pretty much only one submission hold ever.

Fat Aaron 04-19-2010 11:36 PM

I always liked "The World's Most Dangerous Man."

"The Man of 1004 Holds" is great too. I loved that feud back in the day, Malenko and Jericho.

.44 Magdalene 04-19-2010 11:49 PM

The homicidal, suicidal, genocidal, herbicidal, unicycle, dance recital...

Can't remember where I heard that from.

The Show Off 04-20-2010 01:31 AM

I also liked...

"The Devil's Son-in-Law"

Lock Jaw 04-20-2010 01:43 AM

The Southern Dandy

voncouch 04-20-2010 03:36 AM

When I first saw the thread, the first one that popped into my mind was "The Crippler". Short and sweet. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson always had a nice ring to it. I remember when Big Show first entered the WWE, he went by the name "The Big Nasty". I loved that. Wished they would have kept it. Big Show always sounded a little silly to me. And of course, anything Jericho called himself will always be awesome.

For wrestlers today, "The Rated R Superstar" is probably the best.

DaVe 04-20-2010 07:56 AM

Bionic Redneck
The Phenom
Cerebral Assassin
Big Red Machine

I repped you thought I was refering to Alex Shelley as "Talent on Loan from God" but Conrad Kennedy III also goes by that so it's correct.

Wasn't all that fussed about the rep. I was more interested to know for my own knowledge.
