Now that Showmiz is finished...

The Miz can finally defend his US Title for the first time in like 3 months. Who are the top 3 contenders you see competing against The Miz for the title.

My Picks:
1. John Morrison - Would be excellent feud
2. R-Truth
3. Goldust(probably not but it'd be cool)

taker707 04-29-2010 07:32 AM

morrison
carlito
ted dibiase

Cuse8 04-29-2010 08:28 AM

morrison
morrison
morrison

Ermaximus 04-29-2010 08:34 AM

A fued with Morrison is a given. Truth most likely goes after that. Doesn't really matter anyways as I see Miz only losing the US Title to 1 guy in the next few months. That being Daniel Bryan of course.

Nicky Fives 04-29-2010 08:48 AM

Morrison is the only logical choice I can see, as the majority of the Raw mid-card is heel

Schlomey 04-29-2010 08:59 AM

Ted DiBiase SHOULD get the title shot and the title.

Ps I fucking love the Miz but a little change is good.

DiBiase needs a fued..but I have no idea with who?

Any ideas?

Schlomey 04-29-2010 09:27 AM

well....The Miz is what I had in mind. 2 mid card heels can easily feud over a title especially if they throw Morrison in the mix and make it another 3 way dance.

spunkynut 04-29-2010 09:40 AM

...Chris Jericho. :)
Or at least tag with Chris Jericho. Call it MizIcho.

Basically, some form of interaction with Chris Jericho is needed.

Volare 04-29-2010 10:08 AM

Who the Fuck is Daniel Bryan? Oh your talking about the IWC leach that used to wrestle in bingo halls.

ooohhh looks like we have a wrestling snob.

by the way brian danielson has wrestled many times in-front of 50,000 people.
what have you done?

Afterlife 04-29-2010 10:39 AM

DiBiase could easily feud with Goldust. Calling him "the unfortunate son", and how all the talent skipped him and went straight to Little Brother.

Hey, fella! You should check out this nifty lil invention we got here in these new times! See, here's the deal: They take video, (typing slowly so you can understand, please read slowly too so it sinks in) rip it to a computer and bam! Video files! These are then uploaded to the internet at sites like YouTube, Dailymotion, Hulu, JTV, and the like. Still here? Go watch some shit so you're informed on the subjects in which you choose to speak! One is not wise to have an opinion about something without knowing anything about it.:shifty:

The only reason WWE has brought Bryan in is so you fucking smarks have something to cheer about. The day that no name becomes a main event talent in the WWE is the day Vince McMahon says TNA is a threat.

aren't all main eventers 'no-names' at some point.

Afterlife 04-29-2010 04:19 PM

Daniel Bryan has a long head and a short torso. That is where his immediate, known shortcomings end.

Anyway, when did Michael Cole join TPWW?

Tyler Killer 04-29-2010 04:38 PM

The bum (Obviously referring to Bryan) is already 28 years old and is just "making it" to the big time. Why the fuck would they waste their time trying to promote this clown who has ZERO personality, ZERO mic skills, and has the body of Ric Flair? They wouldn't, PERIOD.

Xero 04-29-2010 04:39 PM

A main event in Madison Square Garden at WrestleMania, beating Triple H clean. They got something out of it, amazing matches and, at the very least, amazing undercard/uppercard programs which sold.

28 isn't old btw
also many many of the 'top guys' didn't have personality or mic skills, which is where managers come in, don't you know anything about wrestling at all?

Xero 04-29-2010 04:47 PM

Tazz came from the bingo hall and beat Kurt Angle's undefeated streak right out of the gate. I'm perfectly aware of where his career went, but that was huge for a "bingo haller" to do something like that.

What about the body of a Ric Flair? I'm not talking about Ric Flair 15 or so years ago either. Im talking about the body Ric has had for the last 5 years.

So define bingo hall.

ROH? Below ROH?

What about all his work in Japan? He wrestled in fucking New Japan. Is that moot? Working in one of if not Japan's biggest wrestling promotion?

Everyone in North America, expect for you IWC retards, have no idea about what happens in Japan, so yes, for the regular fans, and the TARGET MARKET of the WWE it is completely moot.

You all can be fan boys all you want. And I have no idea why you all are. But he won't make it. I'm sorry. He has no gimmick, he has no mic skills...he would have made it in the 80's but he won't make it now. I know it's cool to vote for the underdog. But seriously, I think this is one of those things where the most of you just wanted to jump on the band wagon. Just make sure you jump back off before it goes off the cliff.

You do realize that they brought him in for a reason, right?

They put him against CHRIS JERICHO, the WORLD CHAMPION, in his first match. You're going to tell me that, at the very least, WWE doesn't see something good in him? For having his first match, which was quite competitive, against the world champion?

What has he done since? They had the perfect opportunity to showcase him to a "huge" audience by hosting Monday Night Raw but instead they chose Kate Hudson's man. What does that tell you? I don't think Danielson could come right in and get a title shot. I think that's ludicrous and I think anybody who was saying that he should come in anywhere near the top of the card was a fucking moron. He needs to start at the bottom and work his way up. I've always said this.

As for Otunga, of course he's getting the guest host spot. His strength lies in talking and charisma, and outside of Barrett, no one else on NXT comes close. Plus he has the free publicity of being Kate Hudson's finance. Why would they put Danielson in a spot he would never be able to fill? As Heyman says, accentuate the positives, hide the negatives.

I don't put much into what they're doing with him in terms of the losing streak or being cocky with the challenges. I won't armchair it here because I know how much you hate that, but until he's out of NXT and on the main roster, don't think you're seeing everything you've seen about Danielson. They're building him up by breaking him down, it's logical and it's a bit obvious in where they're taking it.

As for Otunga, of course he's getting the guest host spot. His strength lies in talking and charisma, and outside of Barrett, no one else on NXT comes close. Plus he has the free publicity of being Kate Husband's finance.

You may have a point here, however, with the way WWE is starting to build their young stars and pushing other talent (Sheamus, Orton, Dibiase, Punk, Swagger, Hart Dynasty) not too mention that the Smackdown roster is filled with guys that are just waiting for that push ( Kingston, Rhodes, ect.) I don't see this Danielson guy making it big anytime soon.

If ever

I don't think Danielson will be going anywhere within the next 2-3 years. I think it's going to take years for WWE to build him up to where he can be. He's not getting shot to the moon, but he also isn't being left behind and I honestly can't see him flopping unless they throw him in the main event anytime soon.

He'll start at the bottom and work his way up. He may fail, but to say that failing is his only option is being completely blind to who he is and what he's capable of. And what WWE's capable of.

But seriously, I think this is one of those things where the most of you just wanted to jump on the band wagon. Just make sure you jump back off before it goes off the cliff.

Benoit had no personality to speak of, and people got behind his skill and determination. The vast of WWE's current talent isn't gimmick-oriented these days; they're mostly straight personas. In fact, the 80s was nothing BUT gimmicks, which means you're impressively wrong.

Your examples of superior wrestlers are three guys that can't wrestle and can barely pass as listenable?

...What? You admit the company is pushing new talent...and then say this particular new guy won't be utilized? Yeah, that computes.

He's being cocky because he's #1. He's probably going to be knocked down to #7 and that will light a fire in him.

The Miz will move on too bigger and better things such as....competing in local carnival booths and late night poetry sessions

R-Truth since The Miz already proven he's better than Morrison but that's not to say he's necesserily any better than him but a decent substitute for the time being ideally i'd prefer it be Evan Bourne takes the strap.
