Sick of people putting down TNA!!
Why do people continue to berate TNA? It is the best out of the big 2! I have been watching wrestling for over 30yrs and seen alot. The WWE lost it just before it went pg-13. So people would rather see stupid skits, like the A-Team segment, and stupid dance offs? The NXT storyline is just a updated NWO(boring!!!)WWE is pure garbage right now. I watch the WWE by fast fowarding my dvr. Stop being sheeple to the WWE. TNA needs some tweaks before you fickle fans will watch:foc:
|
You are a troll, and it's not possible for a twelve year old to watch wrestling for over 30 years.
|
Oh, and welcome to TP-Dub. I doubt you'll be here long though.
|
|
I use my DVR to fast forward through TNA's shit, so we're even.
You're giving them ratings by timeshifting the show, by the way. Way to go. :y: |

Again, I'm mad at TNA for wasting potenial. They got my attention and managed to keep it with their train wreck, but they never moved past the train wreck and just kept making it a bigger train wreck instead of show casing talent like the promised.

Hogan, Flair, Angle, Steiner, RVD, Hardy. Been there, seen that. TNA should have stuck with what they had and made new big names rather than squander the guys who were more deserving as opposed to guys that get dropped from WWE and get a push to be champ after a week. |
Side note, I know this guy is a troll, but I'm bored.

I admit that I probably liked TNA better around 2007-2009 when I regularly watched.
I started watching around when Christian turned heel, and stopped around where Samoa Joe won the title and before the Main Event Mafia thing got started. Only stopped because I honestly did not have the time to keep up with it. Ever since the Hogan-era started it seems to have taken a nose-dive to the point where I have just stopped caring period. |
looks like tna&usa#1 just made a new account
|
Is there any way to campaign for better trolls? This is just getting old. At least be entertaining or do something different.
|
you might say this guy flew into a blind-rage over TNA being bashed

BigDaddyDickface, nice one. NOT.
Actually it's just as bad as NOT jokes. |
I don't have any exact statistics, but I am not so sure you can keep using the argument about TNA and its 'WWE washups'. I mean if you go back to the night that Hogan debuted and several appearances after that, he got quite a large pop from the crowd. Now you can say 'well it's the Orlando crowd and their idiots'...whatever...it's likely that would have happened almost anywhere. And besides that, Hogan hasn't really even been a huge part of the show as of late, and Ric only talks on the mic. So uhhh....I'm not so sure what there is to complain about here. I mean maybe a couple of storylines are based on them, but at least they aren't wrestling right? That's what you guys want right?
|
And i think people here like to hate on TNA because they are bitter that TNA has yet to pose a serious threat to WWE, thereby enabling WWE to continue their reign of putting on rather dull shows.
|
1) Sting, still wrestling... C'mon...
2) Up until last week, Hall & Nash were tag champs??? C'mon... 3) Sean Waltman.. Addict & porn guy... C'mon... 4) Team 3D? Ok, maybe here they have a few days left in the tank... And they're passing it on... 5) In January they actually brought back THE NASTY BOYZ?? At least they're gone... 6) Flair & Hogan aren't wrestling now, but they have recently... C'mon (And I am a HUGE FLAIR Mark...) He can talk & teach until he dies in the ring.... 7) Tommy Dreamer is so slow he can't even pull off a DDT anymore... 8) Double J is the only one that seems to still have it, but he gives it up to the other guys... 9) AND Mick F***ing Foley... C'Mon man... I liked ALL these guys above in their day, but there comes a time to let the younger guys get the "in-ring" spotlight... Playing on the mic like Flair does is different... Let these guys do the in ring work that deserves it while the older guys teach a bit more... MCMG, Jay Lethal (Finally getting a good push), SAMOA JOE, Amazing Red, Kaz, Kyoshi, etc... |
People bash TNA because they never been as good as WWE.

Anyway, I HATE the PG WWE, but I would rather watch that garbage than the geriatric wrestling alliance known as TNA. How many times must we watch an overtanned Hulk Hogan (looking like a piece of beef jerky) blade and bleed everywhere? How many times must we watch Ric Flair get back body dropped sideways since he can't really flip anymore and wonder if that back body drop is going to lead to a broken neck? I enjoy some TNA...AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, etc., but I get rather bored when every single match ends with a run-in and beatdown. |
If you dont like Raw then why DVR it?

It's been at least 4 hours since the last "Why TNA is better than WWE"/"TNA > WWE"/"WWE PG Era SUX" thread but I'll jump in on this one.
TBH I don't watch WWE or TNA religiously, I tend to catch the shows on YouTube or just settle for reading the spoilers. But IMO, as with most things like this, there is good and bad to be seen in both companies. A lot of people bemoan the fact that TNA pick up old WWE/WCW/ECW guys instead of pushing their homegrown talent but lemme ask you: How many old/current wrestling fans could TNA attract without these established names? More so, how could TNA legitimise the young, homegrown talent they have if they don't have established names to put them over now? The issue comes in who they pick and how they use them. Honestly, paying Tommy Dreamer seems like money down the drain if you ask me - the guy just isn't relevant anymore. You can't call either company on "recycling" old angles, both companies rinse and repeat things - wrestling has done this for years and most casual/new fans (the important ones) don't know the difference. Having said that, NXT seems a lot fresher than revitalising The Four Horsemen (Fortune/Fourtune), the nWo (The Band) and whatever they will end up calling the ECW faction. |
XL's got it.
TNA's biggest strength from day one is their roster depth, and the talen of said depth. Their midcard is so stacked with talent that it's appauling to know these guys are getting passed over for WWE wash ups just for the sake of name value alone. Now, I can understand utilizing a guy like Kurt Angle. He's been billed as one of the best in the world, and a company with a roster that posseses the work rate that TNA's does, it's smart to use him to help establish and build new stars. But honestly, who have they made since they brought in Angle? And of the guys that he has put over, how many of them have turned heel and since been aborted from their character direction when going over Angle? Which leads me to my next point in not liking TNA; Direction. Their storylines are all over the place. Everyone is constantly turning heel or face and back again in a matter of months. It doesn't work that way. In order for a face/heel turn to be effective, it has to have some build up behind it. TNA has no idea how to run a long program and build any sort of anticipation or suspense. How many times did Christian turn in his TNA run? Or Styles? Seems like every 6 months a guy is turning, and usually for no purposeful reason. TNA is a hot mess right now, and with Dixie being the idiot she has shown herself to be, it's not going to get any better. It's virtually unbearable right now. And it won't get better until Hogan is moved out. Guys like Flair, Foley, Jarrett, and even the Dudleys can be very valuable. But they need to be taken off as on-air talent, and used behind the scenes to help guide and develop talent, not take away screen time from younger guys who are not only better in the ring, but have a brighter future over a longer haul. |
Oh my fucking God. Trolls trolling trolls. Could this change the face of TPWW forever?

Pops=/=drawing power, in short. If you're going to argue that they're only playing to the folks in the live audience, that's fine. but your own talk of TNA's behaviour "of late" comes from them pulling back after "The Hogan Era" cost them their Monday Night slot. You have to know that this doesn't have the result they want or that any fan should want. Anyway, I only saw this looking for BDC's post. Because the point I was going to make regards that. I don't care so much about WWE talent. Back in the Monday Night Wars, there were talent "exchanges" in the sense that guys from one show would jump ship all the time. It just so happens it's largely one way now. Almost nobody moving from TNA to WWe will be taken seriously. TNA got a big break with the shift to Monday Nights, and they said they pulled out the stops. And they hit us with all they had. and what they had was half hour Hogan promos, a squad of drug addicts who couldn't get their shit together in the 90s "taking over," a 90 year old WWE retiree, and a spot monkey who wasn't even signed taking the spotlight away from the stars in that regrettably retarded cage match. That was what they considered their best foot forward. Sting and Hogan and "The Band" and Jeff Hardy showing up, though he might be in jail rather than in the ring in a couple months. This is the very epitome of where the whole hasbeens and WWE talent comes from. It's not strictly true, but people are reacting to the symptom, and the cause is utter fucking stupidity. |

Lol, have half the people hating on TNA actually watched the last month or so?
TNA is a better wrestling show, end of story. WWE has a better spectacle, its more shiny and has a lot more pyro, bigger arena's etc. But TNA is getting better week by week. Their production values have improved dramatically in the last few months. Hogans on-screen role seems to have been reduced down to the level it should, same with bischoff. Overall the product is improving, and I would say that there is an approximate 50/50 split for old talent and TNA original talent. Jay Lethal, AJ STyles, Rob Terry, The Beautiful People, Abyss, Roxxi, Beer Money, and the guy who fought Brother Ray at slammiversary. Not one of those people has ever been a WWE talent and yet they were all featured on the last PPV, and the biggest storyline at the moment seems to involve Jay Lethal and AJ Styles. TNA was using the bigger, well known names to get themselves attention, as they should, its good business. But they are NOT ignoring their homegrown talent. 2 months ago I didnt know who the hell a lot of the aforementioned people were. They are doing the right thing, just give it time and let it happen. |
So what you're telling me is that Rob Terry isn't Matt Morgan?
|
I'll admit I have not watched TNA in about a month, aside from the last PPV which fucking sucked and I legitimately found it boring and riddled with stupid booking.
I'll give this week's iMPACT a shot and report back. |
