Taker vs Kane....again
FROM THE FRONT FUCKING PAGE

Can't believe we've never seen them in a casket match until now.
|
...I guess The Casket Match is the way to ONCE AND FOR ALL put an end to the storyline/rivalry...
...question is...does this mean Kane is on his way to retirement? |
They should both be put in the casket

ended in a no contest though |
After Kane loses they will become a tag team again for some reason.
|
Yeah, was pretty obvious since the start that Kane did it.
|
I have no desire to see Kane/Taker again unless it was different from the other feuds by either:
A. Taker being the heel (which is impossible at this point - fans wouldn't even boo Taker against HBK) or B. Kane winning (which would be fine if Taker were retiring, but there's no way he isn't getting a WM match against Cena before he hangs 'em up) |
I was really expecting the NXT1 crew to have done in Taker.

Yes! |
Kane's gonna get his 1997 push again, squash Taker at SummerSlam, tear through the upper-midcard/main event and win the Royal Rumble.
|
Probably not though.
|
nah he totally is
|
I love both of them but this feud is a complete waste of time. We've seen this to many times and it always ends with Kane getting his ass whipped. Only way I could see this as a good thing is if Kane actually wins and they use this as an excuse to give him the World title. If not then we don't really need to see this again.
|
What I hate about this apparent feud besides how obvious and overdone it is, is how little build Kane got as a face first. For these angles to work, you have to make the audience really start believing that the attacker is a good guy before you swerve them. Is anybody believing Kane is a good guy?

same old, different era, undertaker to come out on top. but the NXT idea sounds awesome, WWE creative take note.
|
Boring...

It has been an acceptable amount of time to do this feud again. Also, who is to say that The Undertaker will topple Kane at Summerslam? Perhaps Kane is able to win, and sure he loses at the next PPV but there is no reason for him to go down so easily.
These guys have good matches and they are just kinda made for each other, so I am looking forward too it. |

Why not?
|
I never thought of it that way before.
|
I agree with Jordan X. I love the feuds these two have. I'm a total mark for the B.O.D obviously, but it's so much better when they are against each other.
Also, Vito, they have feuded while Taker was heel before, during the end of the Corparate Ministry and going into Kane/ X Pac vs Big Show/ Taker. I remember it purely because Taker got heat by admitting that he set the fire on purpose. Quite funny how that whole story is forgotten now. Has Kane ever gone over Taker at all? Let alone cleanly? I really can't remember that happening. |
I feel that the Kane gimmick has run its course and this angle is not going to get over because of it.
|
I'm waiting until Taker actually returns, or something gets revealed. I think until then it's just going to be Kane accusing other people of doing it. So too early to judge IMO

1994 is so 1998?

I'd rather see this again:

Kane couldn't even beat his imposter.

...Of course, it may have to do with me not following Smackdown, not knowing what show Kane was on, and hoping the angle wasn't an angle, but still.... |
Kane is over. He has awesome music. He has had a few PG years to soak in with the kiddies and now when the push him, this will be a first for many people. WWE's doesn't seem to concern themselves with the past, why should we?
|
Who was the imposter and whatever came out of that angle?
Could this current angle lead to Kane returning to the mask and us believing that he thinks the imposter was him, just a figment of his imagination, or maybe UNDERTAKER, playing mindgames with him so he got payback. |

Why the fuck does everyone want Kane to go back to the mask?

@ post 43:
It made Kane look weaker.....thats what came out of it. |
I'll take the info in stride we all know the swerve they pulled when Kane kept carrying that canvas bag to the ring and everyone was saying it was his mask I think if anything Hawkins & Archer did it they wanted to make an impact afterall.
|
The fake Kane was Luke Gallows.

Luke Gallows has impersonated both Kane and The Undertaker now.
Has anyone been following this storyline on SmackDown!? It was fairly obvious that Kane was intended to be behind it from the start, but to your average fan who sees these two as both as heroes of the WWE, then this could turn out to be a really shocking angle. Might be the best thing to happen to Kane for years. I mean, some things that make the angle more awesome: a) The attack came so randomly. Kane loses a match to CM Punk, and then The Undertaker is in a "vegetative state?" What did Taker have to do with Punk beating him? The attack being out of the blue makes it more random and scary to, say, a child who loves The Undertaker. b) It's one thing to deny responsibility for it, but to have Kane hold a "funeral" of sorts, for The Undertaker, to swear vengeance, to go around Chokeslamming everyone on the RAW and SmackDown! roster, looking for the culprit, when you know it is you all along? That's just fucking crazy. c) Who the fuck puts The Undertaker into a coma? Kane does. Makes him look like more a threat than winning the WWE Title did. Now, I wish it were the NXT guys, too. The smark in me would have loved to have seen Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer responsible as well (I mean, what better way to "make an impact?"). But if the whole plan is to do a Taker/Kane program, this has been about as good a set-up as you could have asked for. If Kane did this to his own brother, than the story here is creepy as hell. Could really scare some kids, and make for a memorable moment in their lives as professional wrestling fans. I truthfully believe that this could be one of Kane's defining moments. Especially if he gets to go over The Undertaker. And fuck that MITB thing with the NXT guys. Have them given contracts because everyone wants to kick their ass, and have two eight-man MITB Ladder Matches for each brand's World Title at the event. |
Other than that number 1 contender's match, dont think he's ever beaten him, especially on a PPV...BUT, I believe locking him in a casket and then setting it on fire like he did at RR 1998 is a little worse than this whole "I did it" and now your in a coma thing....
Not to mention that he has also: Tore into a "Hell in a Cell" and crushed him Buried him alive at the Survior Series (Which set up the return of the "dead man" gimmick would like to note, that i believe he helped Steve Austin bury him at Rock Bottom 98 as well.....could be wrong tho... and he hit Vader with a Monkey Wrench... |

Surely Taker will come back as a Biker again and a casket match will seem pointless?
|
Oh man, the various Undertaker-Kane rivalries have usually been terrible and have resulted in the most ridiculous TV. Most of their matches have been pretty bad.
|
How does Kane attacking the Undertaker make any sense? Kane has been on a mission to find the culprit for weeks now only to reveal that it was himself all along. Why would Kane do that? How does that make any sense? Oh ya, this is the WWE.
|
They should do a casket match where somehow both men fall in at the same time. Therefore 'killing' both men, leading to retirement for both.

on the bright side for Kane haters out there:
Kane had said in an interview a while back that he wanted one last feud with the undertaker before permanently retiring....so this just may be it for him. Personally I don't mind him being around. |
