TNA ECW
- Right now, TNA officials know that they're doing an angle with the ECW originals but do not know exactly what that angle will consist of. Different ideas are being discussed, including the idea of eventually producing a second ECW-like brand in the company with it's own TV show.

|
Well at least they're consistent with trying to completely ruin themselves. They're really making every effort possible to make sure that they fail.

That wasn't funny dude.
|
You could've just said
Total Nonstop Arthritis |
If it's one thing Dr. Perfect knows, it's funny.

That's because he is perfect.

Probably get high with you. And Kurt would gladly give you some pills. And don't forget big 'ol Scotty "Two-Timey" Steiner's Roid-o-Rama. |
Xero, that doesn't make sense with what was being talked about.
|
Oh, guess you just forgot to add "Addiction" in your joke.
My bad. |

dumb.... I love Raven.... but I do not want to seem him in the ring... he is way past his prime... same goes for pretty much every ECW superstar of the past.....

this would be interesting. as in, interestingly bad. as much as i'd love to see the ecw guys used, they'd be used the wrong way.

*insert "Extremely Crappy Wrestling" joke*

Maybe we can see The Pope lead some sort of stable full of "new breed" wrestlers to go against the ECW Originals.
|
And then they can join Punk's stable.
|
That goes without saying.
|
They'll all be jobbing to Hogan at the next PPV....after he wins the World Title

ECW vs. WCW 2011...Coming soon to a 2nd-rate wrestling promotion nowhere near you, unless you live in or around Orlando!

Why can't people just get over ECW for fucks sake. Nobody cares anymore, and all the 'originals' are like, old and ugly, and with the exception of one or two, none of them are even half as good as they were back in 2000.

I would like to see one of the TNA die-hard fans come into this thread and try to defend this idea.
|
It's brilliant! :shifty:

What we need now is the kind of garbage wrestling that put CZW on the map!

Instead of trying to revolutionize the sport they need to work on getting the fundamentals right.
|
If Taz wrestles, I might give a shit. The rest of this idea is just awful. So I'm guessing TNA will reach out for Balls Mahoney, Spike, Jerry Lynn, and the Blue Meanie next?
|
Taz will never wrestle again. I loved him so much in the 90s...

I remember hearing about this idea a while back. It slightly interested me, but then I realized what would almost certainly come of it.
|
I'm pretty sure the "ECW Originals" will recruit some younger guys to go to the team that are a bit "Extreme" so they can get over.
|
Like Neal or Sharkboy.

Homicide, Abyss, Tomko, and Kiyoshi

Maybe they'll be called something like SEX. It's sad when Russo is doing crap he already did in TNA.

Oh wait, I just re-read Dr Perfect's quote of mine, I see what you did there... :foc:

Not sure where I stand on this.
On one hand I could ask what the results of this survey even mean? People like ECW, yeah we get it. But they liked ECW when it was a little company booked by Paul Heyman. 10 Years Later: The biggest star from TNA (RVD) is already in TNA and holding the World Title. Meanwhile, you also have a number of other ECW "talent" on your payroll (Raven, Stevie, 3D, Rhino(?), etc) that are well past their best day and you've now signed a recently released Tommy Dreamer. WWE has already bled the ECW name dry and bastarized it beyond belief. So all-in-all TNA are left with a group of past-their-prime guys reliving something they did 10 years ago but probably without the guy that made it all work in the first place. Nice. On the otherhand, WWECW was diluted down to fit in with the broadcast standards of SyFy/WWE whereas TNA seem to have a lot more leeway with their production (hence the overuse of profanity and blood on every Impact) and might make a decent go of it as a throwback to the original ECW format. |

Gee, ECW was on Spike (then TNN) once before and failed to get over. But Hogan/Bischoff will make all the difference in the world 10 years later. :shifty:

Really don't care for this, but...
If the rumors of the trying to bring in Heyman (again) are true, if they didn't want to dump Hogan/Bischoff, couldn't they just create a second "brand" like someone mentioned was an option earlier, and just give Heyman free reign for that, thus pretty much making everyone "happy"? Heyman backing this would be the only way I give any kind of a damn. That plus TNA not having to be PG and Spike seemingly having no problems with violence (only fire) or wanting ridiculous gimmicks would give this at least a tiny bit of promise, IMO |

I'm not sure even Heyman could save this. He's a booker, not a Messiah.
I'd be glad to be proved wrong, however. |
Another problem with these ECW stables is that they always consist of the same guys. Come on can't they try and get some different ECW people for a change?

AN INVASION IS COMING
When : tna doesn't know Where : Orlando ,Fl Who : original ECW washups Why : God only knows :nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono::nono: Well on the "bright" side they are pushing (again) for Heyman. :shifty: |
Yep.
|
We now have 3 sides to TNA, all lead by old has beens. You got the Ric Flairs group, Hulk Hogans group, and now what ever has been leads ECWTNA. Oh, you also got the old Sting guy doing his own thing with t.v time.
|
I wish we still had the show so we could make fun of this.
|
Aren't there already like, four threads on this? Coulda sworn I posted in one yesterday.

I highly doubt Heyman will come to TNA. Considering the fact that ECW was on Spike back when the channel was TNN. Although he might b/c Spike actually promotes TNA when TNN didn't promote ECW.
|
Spike isn't owned by the same people anymore.

ECW had good moments, but a lot of it was garbage wrestling. Some great promos here and there, but New Jack & The Sandman aren't wrestlers. Rob Van Dam is a hell of a wrestler whose hands are stained with blood because of his "extreme" matches, and ECW had a lot of good legitimate wrestlers go into their ring... but a group based entirely on Hardcore wrestling is.... stupid.

Getting Extreme
If TNA is going to get extreme please for the love of God TNA get the heck out of the impact zone. I feel that they are the most boring and quiet people around. With free tickets given to them I wonder if they are real fans or do they just want to get on tv. They do not appreciate what these guys do and it shows. This past impact had some really good matches and the people just sat all quiet with a few clapping. Just comes off bad on tv. My opinion is that they need to tour, or tape in New York or Philly where they have some great fans that would appreciate them. Come on TNA!!!!!!!
