Your Top 5 Current (WWE)
Not alltime. Who are you highest on these days, (or the past few months) and looking forward? Go.
I know it's been done here before, but I don't care. Key word: Current. Okay moving on... Here's Mine: -CM Punk -Sheamus -Jericho -The Miz -Wade Barrett |
I would have included the collective unit of The Hart Dynasty but stretching lists and honorable mentions get out of control.
5 and 5 ONLY |
I haven't been watching often enough to really judge but i'lld probably say..
1) Miz 2) Punk 3)All of nexus(i always seem to cheat in these lists) 4) Christian 5) Drew |
Stop cheating. You can't make 7-8 guys count as one pick. The Saving Silverman nacho protocol is not in effect
|
I refuse to change my list.

<font color=goldenrod>Chris Jericho

2) The Miz 3) Evan Bourne 4) Sheamus 5) Chris Jericho (perennial top 5...he's just awesome) |
ah shit i forgot about orton.
|
How can u forget about the guy who's been getting the loudest pops for the last 3 months?!
|
Randy Orton
C.M. Punk Miz Sheamus Swagger |
CM Punk
Sheamus Jericho The Miz Randy Orton |
Orton is a big thing for me. I've never really cared much for him, but I have been in to his new character quite a bit.
|
I'm going to put my ten
Keep in mind HHH and Beth Phoenix are part of this list but they're currently on the injured list 1. John Cena 2. Randy Orton 3. Edge 4. Christian 5. CM Punk 6. Chris Jericho 7. Kofi Kingston 8. Jack Swagger 9. Drew McIntyre 10. Eve |
|
If it wasn't your birthday I'd be pissy with you for having Kofi on your list skip.

No particular order
McIntyre Miz Orton Sheamus DiBiase Say what you want about Ted, I got a hunch that something big will happen with him soon. McIntyre has kept me tuned into Smackdown more than Rey, or Big Show ever will. |
Jericho
CM Punk Christian Swagger Ziggler |
1. Wade Barrett
2. Drew McIntire 3. Evan Bourne 4. Kofi Kingston 5. Ted DiBiase |
1. The Miz
2. R-Truth 3. Ted DiBiase 4. Wade Barrett 5. Randy Orton |
1.) Barrett - Most believable and effective early game push I've seen in awhile, and he's taken the ball and ran with it.
2.) Orton - Shaping up to be the SCSA of this generation (not his equal mind you, but comparatively speaking) 3.) C.M Punk - Best mic worker in the business right now IMO. 4.) The Miz - The slow build has worked wonders, and I feel that by Wrestlemania he'll have (deservedly) tasted big time gold. 5.) Jack Swagger - Been booked as a dominant force...after he lost his title. Lest we forget though, he holds a clean win over Orton on top of all the destruction he's caused recently. While not completely polished on the mic, he's got all the in ring tools. Honorable mentions: Drew Mcintyre - Finally putting on some very nice matches (w/ Matt and Kofi) Sheamus - Who woulda thunk that he would be "legit" this quickly? Kane - He's relevant again, which is always nice Evan Bourne - They're doing his push the right way, letting him shine in the ring and keeping him AWAY from the mic. Jericho - My favorite, still doing great work but really hasn't done a whole lot since he moved to Raw. |
Yeah Jericho is a mainstay in my top 5 but he hasn't done anything since the Evan Bourne matches so I felt it a lie to put him at the top as usual.

If this list were for six people though, I might have Evan Bourne next.
|
replace Jericho with Bourne only because Jericho has been absent while Bourne DESERVES it after taking that RKO. Just sayin' ..it takes 2 to make that work.
|
Jericho has not been absent. Have you been paying attention? He's definitely 'up to something'. Also, that promo he cut before his match with Bourne on the last PPV was tremendous. It set a completely new tone for what appeared to be a floundering character.
|
1.) Sheamus
2.) Randy Orton 3.) CM Punk 4.) Jericho 5.) The Miz Honorable Mention: Edge |
But when you compare what Jericho has done in the last few weeks as to what Bourne has done it is no contest.
Yes Jericho is up to something and performed great in both of the Bourne matches...BUT SO DID BOURNE and he has continued to be awesome every week since then while Jericho has been more mysterious and guarded. |
1) The Miz
2) CM Punk 3) Wade Barrett 4) Jericho (for selling Bourne) 5) Evan Bourne (for stepping up!) |
Evan Bourne might have been a part of a great "spot", but Jericho has been in some even better matches.
|
My top five isn't going to change because of a monster three-four week Bourne push. Jericho has been champion once this year, has been a part of some killer feuds, and has done everything in HIS power to get your boy Bourne over.
|
Thread title is CURRENT so if you want to look at the past and add Jericho that's your thing...I was just following the directions.

Orton - Has to be at the top of any list, he is absolutely golden in the ring at times and his psychology is untouchable across the board.
John Morrison - He's got all the tools to be the next big face, don't like the idea of him as a heel though. The Miz - He's got all the tools to be the next big heel. Don't like the idea of him as a face though. Edge - In terms of mic work he is amazing and I can't remember the last time I saw a bad match from him. Plus is is at the top of the pile in terms of his ability to make others look good. Wade Barrett - Brilliant start for him, totally running with the ball and more than holding his own, can't wait to see this whole angle develop. |
And yes, Jericho has been more mysterious...that's why I'm looking forward to what's coming from him....which is also in the 'directions', you faggot mouth.

1)Orton
2)CM Punk that's enough |
5. Wade Barrett
4. CM Punk 3. Evan Bourne 2. Randy Orton 1. The Miz |
Can we take a quick break from this thread to talk about how Schlomey is a DICK FACE?

1. jokes on you. I haven't seen a rabbi in close to 10 years.
2. back on topic please I hate to be the cause of a good topical thread to be derailed. Thank you fellas have a great day. |
Schlomey is a scalded dog.
You want to talk about somebody who hasn't done anything in a while? What's the deal with Christian? |
Christian is typically another mainstay on my top 5 list but he truly has been a let down since switching to Smackdown.
He went from ECW champion to random mid carder on RAW to the guy putting over new tag teams on Smackdown. With MITB coming up I really hope this is his time for a push....Chances are it is going to McIntire but Christian is my darkhorse pick. |
1) Christian
2) The Miz 3) Zack Ryder 4) CM Punk 5) Ted Dibiase |
You can make an argument for a ton of guys on the roster "not doing anything" right now or in the past couple of weeks. That's because of Money in the Bank. There aren't specific fueds, but rather build for those matches.
The focus has been on Cena, Sheamus and Nexus since they're not in the ladder matches. And Rey/Swagger and the Kane storyline over on Smackdown. I'm sure that will change starting next week. |
Kane is a featured player and has anyone put him in their top 5? I haven't noticed.
|
I like Dibiase well enough, but I feel he's lacking something. Mainly promos. He has all the tools in spades in every other area. He's good enough in the ring, he has the look, his gimmick is updated nostalgia, and he has the incredible Million Dollar Belt. Now he's even got Maryse as a valet, who I love as a character and to look at.
I just feel he lacks personality a bit. |
I think we all know it won't last with Kane, it will turn out that he put Taker in a vegetative state and then Taker will 'kill' him. (again).
Unless Nexus did it and they are going to take over the whole WWE and not just Raw. |

Miz, Edge, DiBiase and Punk. Don't really have a 5th. As for DiBiase, his promos will come in time I think, the longer the character goes, the more he'll 'get into it' and have guys in higher spots bring stuff out of him. I like that they seem to be building his character as opposed to 'right, now I've got money, it's Cena time'. As for him and Maryse not meshing well, I think it works well since she's basically saying she's with him for the money and that fits her character too.

1) Christian
2) Orton 3) McIntyre 4) Kane 5) Sheamus |
1. Chris Jericho

Yes. In the very first non-OP reply. And it was frowned upon.
|
Boo-fucking-hoo. 'NeXus' has been a the main player in a huge storyline for the past month, month-and-a-half, and I'm not going to bother just picking one guy (even Wade 'my pronunciation skills need work' 'Ba-uhtt') out of the 7, because in my eyes that would be wrong.
There are times when rules need to be broken, and this was one of those times. |
You cannot be a real person. You must be a DrA sock or something.

WTF are directions?

excuse me sir but I do not recall addressing you in a manner that deserved that type of reply. I will let it slide and hope in the future you are more thoughtful when replying.
Your font size in your original post is not one that is very forum friendly. My post had nothing to do with your choices as I can find the good in every one on your list. Have a wondeful day and keep in mind that we are here to chat and discuss wrestling...Not hurt each others feelings. Schlomey <3 |

oh wait mine is actually Michael Tarver 1-5

In alphabetical order:
1. Chris Jericho 2. Christian 3. Jack Swagger 4. John Morrison 5. Kofi Kingston Chris Jericho is Chris Jericho. His promo at Fatal 4-Way made me mark out. Introduced some more depth to the character, in that he pretty much addressed being a smark favourite. I cannot bring myself to watch RAW too often, but it seems his current storyline is a lot like Kurt Angle's in TNA -- let the guy wrestle with some amazing works lower on the card, and really let them shine. He's done wonders for Evan Bourne, and I'm really looking forward to his match on Superstars against Yoshi Tatsu. Christian is one of those guys that always goes out there and has good matches. His promo work is as good as ever, I suppose, even though elements of his "character" have been drained out. If he recaptures that, he'll sky-rocket up my list. He won't win it, but he's my heart's pick to win Money in the Bank on SmackDown!. Jack Swagger has been on fire since his World Heavyweight Title reign. Pretty much all his matches are at least of good quality (even against someone like The Big Show). His promo work has been entertaining, too. http://www.blimpie.com/assets/images/menu/prod_sub.jpg Tastes like freedom. John Morrison is just so much fun to watch in the ring. Combine that with a good look, and he just gets on because of the soft spot I have for him. If he got more in touch with his "Guru of Greatness" character, he'd be the man right now. He is my soul's pick to win the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match, even though he won't. Kofi Kingston is another guy who just has great matches left, right and centre. He can talk, too. Basically, when Kofi Kingston does something, I am consistently entertained. |
Taker would be at the top of the list because I still think he's the overall best in the company. BUT, he's currently injured. So, my list is as follows:
1) Randy Orton 2) CM Punk 3) Chris Jericho 4) Christian 5) Evan Bourne |
That sandwich looks really good.

Triple H
Sheamus Punk Jericho Wade Barrett |

On a completely unrelated note. I just noticed that it doesnt sound like killswitch doing punks theme on that titantron video. Or my sound is totally messed up. |
It's Killswitch, but it's sped up a lot. I think they do that to avoid copyrights or something.

MoFo, why so sirus?
