Offcial TNA iMPACT Thread for 7/15/10 - Now with 100% more Official Chat
Thought I'd try something new, so, sup?
iMPACT Chat: http://www.justin.tv/chat/embed?chan...fault_chat=jtv |
It has a lot of hype, so It better be good.
I bitched earlier in the week that we don't have a TNA chat and I sadly won't be making it tonight. I am going out on the town for some karaoke and long island Ice T's.
I do apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort this causes within the chat this evening. Have a wonderful evening. Love, Schlomey <3 |
Abyss has meat! This is the thread of Impact! Yes?
We have an impact thread???
BEAT THAT MEAT!
BEAT THAT MEAT! BEAT THAT MEAT! |
Lulz, he broke his 'girl' in half.
Kinda disappointed with the beginning of this show. I've heard good things, though, so I'm still looking forward to the rest.

Hey, how long has Kendrick been in Tits 'n' Ass?
And what's the general consensus here on Mike Tenay? |
Kevin Nash is a legend????? Since when???? I think he's fuckin' delusional, that's what he is.
And btw, is this 1997 or 2010??? |
Ms Tessmacher is a foxy lady.how many englishmen are on this roster?
Samoa Joe
Shouldn't he be at a buffet and not in the ring?
Impact thread?
Chelsea is the hottest Valet I have seen in a very long time.
The Impact thread isn't big enough to fit Samoa Joe anymore.
Joe is fat.
I love how he has that little chin strap just to differentiate where his jaw ends and his neck begins.
He's not that fat. Besides, he's samoan.

Awesome Ladder Match
Good show so far. Sarita and Taylor kicked ass, and great ladder match. Even with MMG getting screwed.
Though most of Nash's comments were  especially saying hes the best worker.
Here comes the Popes push!
Loving the winner picks the stip clause in this best of 5 series.Hopefully ultimate x makes it.But a tag team 30 minute Iron man match would be amazing with these teams.
I don't care how bad of an in-ring talent Lacey is, she is fucking gorgeous.

Disappointed with the horrible tv production, you couldn't make out who's who.
Al Snow and Pat Kenney helping out the ECW guys was a nice touch, although I don't think they are meant to be a part of the actual group.

How they ended with Dixie saying "I invited them" was horrible. I mean atleast WWE to my knowledge hasn't bumped anything by doing that.
impact still sucks
Enjoyed for the Ladder Match and the ending, but disappointed with the show overall. So much for all the hype.
At least D'lo got on TV :y: |
How would you book Impack blak23?
did i see Simon Diamond? i did! i did see Simon Diamond.lol.That was cool. Not nexus level. But it did have The Hottest president in Wrestling involved(Dixie I love ya Mama). And i think those cops maced a few people, which is always fun.
Quote:
Yeah, they could have waited until next week for her to say that and kept more suspense, but this wasn't a bad way to go about it. |

how would you book a wrestling show blak23?
lol, Looked like one of those cops tried to "mace" Raven a few times and he just no sold it
the ladder match deserved the hype but i wasn't really interested in anything else
I'm not surprised too see most of the people here have nothing but bad things to say about the show tonight. I however though it was another solid Impact.
For those of you who say this is TNA's version of Nexus, well I think Nexus is another version of the nWo, case closed. Another thing, give the Fat Hardy jokes a rest. This is starting to sound like something out of US Weekly, or those other bullshit magazines. The guy can still wrestle better than half the WWE roster. |

I've seen "solid" episodes of iMPACT and this was not one of them. |
o well i like smackdown i wont say wwe because sd and raw to me are two different beasts
Impact rating 7.5 overall good show.women's street fight was good. The ladder match was off the chain,Abyss cleaned out the rest of his 4th of july leftovers, and The hardcore legend is back.
that is a reasonable figure
IMPACT was good.

I thought the show was more compelling than weeks past. I agree in whole with the comment about its production. I have noticed that the camera angles they get are not the best shots. WWE has this down and has for years. I suppose it would be like copying them if TNA were to take a page out of their production, but I think we can go ahead and say that's OK because better angles may make things look a lot better. |
First Impact I've watched all the way through in a while.
Ladder Match was good, but I HATED the fact that they started this series with a gimmick match. Need to build to it, not just use gimmicks willy nilly. That's a complaint I have for WWE too, mind you. Otherwise, it was lackluster. The brawl was vastly overhyped and nothing like people claimed it to be. It was, at best, an "okay, that was okay I guess, let's see where it goes from here" type of thing. It didn't feel "special" at all to me. It felt like any other clusterfuck brawl. The Abyss stuff was stupid. I like "insane" gimmicks, but Abyss is no original Mankind. Not by a long shot. Lethal vs Hardy was ok as was the triple threat. Wasn't a fan of the Women's stuff. Yeah. One good match which had shit logic leading into it and the rest of the show was, at best, an average iMPACT, which isn't a good thing. |

dont get me wrong if you are a fan it was probably a good show but for someone who doesnt follow tna it wasnt imho |
Yeah I think the show might have been overhyped within the IWC. Either that or it was just better to have been there in person. I know it was hyped here probably just because they wanted more people to watch. Whomever is in charge of this site has a tendency to really hype TNA stuff when something big is going to happen. I can't say that I blame them though after all the crap that gets said about TNA on the internet. Alright, perhaps tonight's edition doesn't appeal to everyone, but for it's worth it was in the end an improvement. If you follow TNA regularly, you can tell they are really trying to get a grip on what it is they want to do with their shows. Stability people.....that's all it takes.
Interesting about the camera angles used at the Smackdown taping. Maybe less is more. I suppose I really wasn't talking about the amount of shots they had, just the way they were using them. For some reason when you see a WWE show, the camera work feels like artistry.....with TNA it feels like it was kind of put together with duct tape. While I am a fan of duct tape, it doesn't bring in the ratings any better. |
yea wwe seems more "Crisp"I guess would be a good word for it.Seems like TNA has been trying to go with a more in your face "Ecw shaky cam" style or something.WWE has better transitions from shot to shot and it just kind of...flows.I'll give TNA the nod on the backstage set up though.i dig their little interview nook.
Kevin Nash is a legend. he is more known than 90% of wrestlers out there in the public. You gotta be kidding me if anyone is even doubting that.
Quote:
no |
Kevin Nash is not a legend and never will be
Hall and Nash are legendary simply for being two of the founding members of the nWo.
That's the only really legendary part they can put on their resume legitimately, but it's enough to solidify them. |
Nash is legendary for making so much money by doing so very little.
loved the show last night by the way.
I really am a fan of the way they do the backstage interviews. No announcer, just them talking with a closeup. that is awesome. And the way RVD does his with him walking and talking. I am liking the stuff Nash is doing. I've been a fan of serious Kevin Nash. I like when he does his interviews in sort of a half shoot style. He looks bigger then ever right now. The Abyss angle really has me hooked. Can't wait to see what they do with it. The ECW thing was ok, but it wasn't the best thing they could of done. I felt like they should of laid out someone before fighting the whole locker room. Save that for the next show. I am a huge fan of the Beutiful People and really liked the angle last night. Everyone was good on the mic and Lacey is fucking smoking. And the rest of the show had solid wrestling. Big thumbs up for me |
So, if the ECW guys weren't the "THEY" Abyss talked about, then who is?
