How Should The Miz 'cash in'?
This is what I'm thinking......
Every time Sheamus (or whoever else may become WWE Champion) is wrestling or cutting a promo in the ring, Miz should be shown watching on camera. He could be shown in the audience (front row, nosebleeds, sitting on a staircase, etc.), backstage watching on a monitor (in a locker room, in a hallway, you get the picture) and even at ringisde or watching from the stage or production truck for the rest of the year, but never even attempts to cash in. Royal Rumble comes around and Miz attempts to cash in after a WWE Championship Match (before The Rumble Match itself), but something prevents him from doing so (outside interference attacking whoever is champion). So he enters The Rumble Match & wins, earning a main event Title Match at Wrestlemania. He spends the rest of the time until Wrestlemania gloating that he doesn't have to even use MITB and he will become the first ever MITB holder to refuse to cash in, because he will become WWE Champion without it. So in the main event at Wrestlemania, The Miz wrestles the champion and loses. Immediately after the match, Miz grabs a microphone and cashes in MITB, in essence continuing the match. The Miz wins the match this time around to become WWE Champion and successfully cash in MITB. Your thoughts? |
if im the miz? i will cash in it at wrestlemania.. if ever who won the royal rumble and been the champ at mania.. and if its possible..?? i will cash in it at hardCORE justice.. ^_^

But you're not The Miz, you're Brock Lesnar.

I like ur idea, Nicky 5s.

I'd like to have something really cool and eventful for Miz winning the title. My idea is that Miz cashes in against Sheamus at ComicCon.
|
But Savage makes the save and is added to Cena's team at SummerSlam, while Miz joins Nexus.
|
Then Savage turns on Cena and reveals himself to be the Raw GM. He then admits that he had help typing the emails, but doesn't reveal who that person was.
That leads to months and months of endless guessing on who was the guy that helped macho type the emails. |
And that man is, of course, Screech, of TPWW.net/forums fame.
|
I'd definately play up the "stalker" aspect by having him constantly appear after WWE Title matches but not cash in. Not sure beyond that, depends who the champ is.
|
I would rather see him lose the case. He just isn't good enough right now to hold the title. I can't conceivably see The Miz overpowering or out-wrestling John Cena, Triple H, Sheamus, Kane, Undertaker, or Edge. Maybe Jericho but more because I'm used to Jericho doing a job than I think The Miz deserves to beat him.
|
I think R-Truth will force him into a match for the briefcase. If Miz wins R-Truth agrees not to interfere in any more attempts for the Miz to cash in, but if the Miz loses Truth gets the case.

We all were like WTF??? , when Sheamus won his so quickly... He for sure can go over Edge, not putting Edge down, but Edge could sell it... And the other guys are gonna all be gone within a few years... They gotta start promoting some guys up... Miz is here to stay, barring injury... |
I said it in a different thread that for The Miz to be credible as a main eventer he needs to be a much better wrestler than he currently is since he lacks the size of a John Cena or a Triple H. His character is great and his abilities in the ring continue to improve but they are not to the point where I would want to watch a 25-30 minute Miz/Cena, Miz/Orton or Miz/Triple H match.
|
I hear ya on that, but isn't the miz around the same weight as Jericho & Edge or is he a lil' bit smaller?
|
I would really like to see him cash it in at next year's Wrestlemania.
|
I guarantee..if the Miz tries to hold it til Wrestlemania he'll get hurt (Legit) sometime around the Royal Rumble and they'll hotshot it off of him to Edge or..GASP..Cena.

Nexus beats up the champ, and then they show The Miz get ready in his locker room. Come to find out that R-Truth put a fork lift in front of the lockeroom doors, locking him in. Once or twice show The Miz about to cash it in, and then play The Truth's music. Just tease it. Give The Miz the stalker angle, and have R-Truth "Always one step behind you, and that's THE TRUTH!" |
the thing about the angles you guys are pitching is that they are way to complicated, you need to simplify
|
That R-Truth business actually sounds pretty good, and I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've thought that about anything R-Truth related.
|
Damn, I agree...
|
I'd like to see him cash it in at Night of Champions and beat Cena for the WWE Championship after a beatdown by Wade Barrett and the Nexus and have it continue from there.
|
I like the Rumble / Mania idea. Cos I really think at the end of the match, providing it's an epic one, people would forget about the MITB and the pop would be fucking immense when they catch on and see him cashing in.
I don't like how he doesn't try to cash it in tho. They defo need it to look like he would go for it, as in last week with Seamus. The only gripe bout the Rumble thing is how he gets into the 30 man thing. Having him enter when he still has the MITB and has been attacked already that night doesn't quite do it imo. Maybe he comes clean and says he is taking a backup option. Or the GM says there's no randomers in the RR, but only active wrestlers. |
Knowing WWE's cyclical creative writing team, they'll have The Miz cash in on a jump-in, my term for 'taking advantage of the weakness' of a champion who just defended the title in a brutal match.
Oh, if you take the name Mizanin, take off the M at the start and the 'in' at the end, you get 'izan', which spelled backwards, is 'nazi'. Makes you wonder why he used to do those hand salutes to the audience a while back during his entrance at the top of the ramp. =P |
I think The Miz should wait until Mania. As much as I love him, I think he can build himself up very well and become a legitimate contender and have a nice title run. I actually think he can become a big enough star to win the Main Event match at Mania and no one would be disappointed.
|
The Miz should cash in by handing his briefcase over to the referee and saying "I am cashing in".

Don't care as long as he loses when he does.

Honestly, I like the Royal Rumble idea, but here's a riff on it. Miz cashes in at Royal Rumble and loses...only to squirm his way into the #30 entrant into the Rumble itself, where he wins that and goes onto Wrestlemania where he eventually wins the title.
|
I wouldn't mind him losing his match as long as he lost it at Wrestlemania.

Miz is going to blow his knee out at a house show, therefore fucking the angle up. He'll be shown in a viginette in what seems to be a vegetated state, only to awaken, and look for his case. All he finds is his bedpan with green piss in it. Next shot we see is SWOGGLE with a Nexus arm band, handing the case to Barret who cashes in. Hornswoggle was the fucking culprit GM!!!!
Out Swerve that Bitches! |
Miz should cash the Money in the Bank by letting the champion know 4 weeks or so before the next PPV. He should basically cut a promo in this vein:
"I know you all think I'm a joke. All of you in the crowd. All of you in the back. You all think that The Miz is one big joke. I've heard it before, when I first got to the WWE the boys in the back treated me like a joke and they said I would never amount to anything. Well look at me now. I'm a multiple time tag team champion and a multiple time United States Champion, and on top of that I am Mr. Money in the Bank. "I know a lot of you have been wondering 'How is The Miz going to cash in his money in the bank?' I have been wondering that myself. Having this oppertunity in my hand it a guarantee I will be the WWE champion... but that won't be enough. You see after all I have accomplished people still think I'm a joke and winning the WWE champion isn't going to change the mind of the haters. "So I've been thinking how do I cash this in? Do I take advantage of a weakened champion and guarantee myself the WWE Championship? Or do I give my opponent time to prepare for me by giving him a couple of weeks notice of my cash in? Many people look at that an option as a risk. Well I don't. You see when I won the Money in the Bank breifcase I guaranteed myself a place in WWE history, not because I can take advantage of a weak opponent like Edge and CM Punk and Jack Swagger and Kane. No I guaranteed myself a WWE champion because I'm so good that all I need is one oppurtunity. "I'm not a joke and every one will see that because at (PPV) I am cashing in my money in the bank against (champion). He'll have ample oppurtunity to prepare and heal up, but that's not going to matter because when he faces me he's not going to be facing a joke. He is going to be facing the future. The future not only of Monday Night RAW but of WWE. This guarantees me a WWE Champion not becuase I can take advantage of a situation but because I am now the best in the WWE and I'm the Miz and I'm AWESOME!" |

I don't know exactly when I would have The Miz cash in, but a Royal Rumble title match could work really well for him. Then if he does lose, he can enter the match still and have another great showing there. It's obvious the WWE really wants to build this guy up. I would start foreshadowing this direction as early as SummerSlam, though. Sheamus' title reign is still in its stages of infancy, and his reign hasn't exactly been the most dominant; but right now Randy Orton is perhaps the hottest babyface the WWE has. It might be the wrong move to have him put over Sheamus. Especially since I think Sheamus vs. Triple H, when it eventually does happen, won't need the WWE Title involved. Orton can go over in a close match with Sheamus at SummerSlam (perhaps Sheamus can even kick out of an RKO), and then as Orton is celebrating..."I came to play!" The Miz walks out, and everyone instantly assumes he is cashing in. But The Miz gets on the mic and tells Orton to relax, because he's not cashing in. He just wants the current WWE Champion to know that he plans to cash in his title shot ahead of time. Then he says all that stuff about proving himself, etc. Imagine closing the show with that confrontation -- Orton with the WWE Title, The Miz with the MITB briefcase. You can even have members of the roster, both faces and heels, doubt that The Miz will actually go through with what he says. But The Miz sticks to his guns, and sure enough does announce his title shot. Preferably, he goes over. It would be a great way of saying "The Miz has arrived." |
I like TSO's idea.
You could even have him say that he will cash in at a certain point (say 4 weeks away) only for him to surprise the champ and take it before. The theory being that the champ can rest as he doesn't need to be worried that Miz will cash in, only for Miz to use that to his advantage. I think Miz going back on his word would also get him over even more as a heel. |
He should cash it in on a RAW, just for the "shock" value.
Like, at the END of RAW...somehow Sheamus (or whoever the champion is) is involved in a tag match or something, and after it's done, Miz comes out, cashes it in and wins the belt. That would surprise us, and set up next week's RAW, which would get more people to tune in. |
Honestly, what I would do?
I would have him cash in on Ted Dibiase Jr. for his Million Dollar Title. Have some monster like Mark Henry or Eli Cottonwwod come out & smash Dibiase mid-promo, cut in some shots of Maryse selling the beating. Totally put over that he gets the tar taken out of him. Dibiase is unconcious, the monster leaves & Maryse starts inching her way in to see if Teddy's OK. Miz's music hits, he comes in, hands over the case & puts the exclamation point on with the Skull Crushing Finale. Maryse looks at Miz & the Dead Dibiase, is instantly on Miz's arm & leaves with him. Miz comes out at the next show & has a contractual loophole that the Million Dollar Title was sanctioned, based on Ted's father defending it against Jake Roberts & Virgil or something. Miz gets a Million Dollar Belt & Maryse (who he has history pursuing), Maryse gets put over further as a Golddigger heel, Dibiase becomes a "man who's lost everything", and WWE does something truly different with the MITB shot. Most of all, they DON'T hotshot a title onto Miz just for the sake of doing it, resulting in a Slow Build. :-\ |
Sounds all good except the contract is only for the WWE championship.
|
O, is that a stip they added for the PPV matches? :(
|
That was the whole concept at the last PPV. The smackdown winner could only challenge the World champion and the raw winner only the wwe champ. Also, the million dollar belt is not officially recognized so that's scrapped off as well.
|
Well, who would actually cash in for the Million Dollar Championship? You'd feel like Lex Luger at Summerslam 1993. Sure, you won a match, but what did you really win? He's already got Maryse. :shifty:
I love the idea to cash in at a scheduled time and place. I might even wait until some 3-hour Special. Or maybe have the Miz cash it in on the debut of Friday Night Smackdown on SyFy. It would be a big moment for the WWE to debut on their new station with a WWE Championship match. They usually make big events like that co-branded anyways, so it could work out. |
Well, the MDC is, like, a million dollars.... :shifty:
