I know I contributed to this less than a week ago with a face/heel poll using Jericho as the first subject, but all these Jericho threads are starting to get out of hand, 2nd only to the "OFFICIAL appreciation thread" surge.

I know how to take a joke, I just prefer jokes that are funny.

You never have to put much effort into turning a guy like Jericho face. He could be the worst human being in pro wrestling history, but if he showed one sign of kindness, all is forgiven. Savage was the same way. It's the mark of a great heel.

I think Jericho has to just utter one of his old catchprhases and he's golden. Nuff said.

I'd have Cena turn heel as a result of all this Nexus thing as Cena EXPLODES WITH THE FURY OF A THOUSAND SUNS and goes on a rampage.

To treat the topic of this thread seriously, Chris Jericho could turn face in many different ways. He can do one good act, as someone said, or he can bust out his old persona. I'd prefer it if the character sort of developed into a face, though. I thought about this initially at Fatal 4-Way when he cut that promo prior to his match with Evan Bourne, but I do feel that they are testing the waters with it a little bit.

Respect is how you'd turn the current Jericho persona face. He'd obviously stop trying to get the cheap heat he gets by insulting crowds, but people know how good he is. If they just put him against a hated heel who is disrespectful to Jericho's accomplishments -- there is your justification for a "face turn." Then you can slowly have Jericho play to the audience. First with statements like "These people know how good I am," and then to the return of maybe a few of his catchphrases.

I would respond to this thread but Jericho as a face doesn't work for me... Plus I am not down with the troll scene... You kids are just weird..

Thank you Noid. Destro, there are an abundance of other wrestling forums out there. You may want to try another one. I've tried to post stuff here, but all everyone wants to talk about is everything WWE does right and everything TNA does wrong and then only a few of them can do it intelligently. The only reason I'm here is for a good laugh.

The crowd is just waiting for Jericho to turn face again. You can see that clearly just in the past couple of weeks where he has gotten some prominent Y2J chants due to this whole Nexus/Summerslam angle going on.

As far as how I would go about turning him? I would try to go about it like they did with Orton. I wouldn’t want to see the old face Jericho that we have seen time and time again, but more of keeping a majority of his current character and incorporating a little bit of his classic humor from time to time.
