It's part of the summer of arcade, but I wanted to ask straight up: Anyone buy uit? The demo seems cool, but I'm wondering if the full game's worth the fifteen bucks.

It's a class-based TPS with some tower defense style elements, if anyone's curious and didn't click the above videos.

I played the demo and bought it. Really like the assault. And then there's 5 other classes to boot. Gonna have fun with this. It seems like it's really accessible for a shooter. Noob friendly if you weeeeeel.

Aren't all shooters n00b friendly?

Only played like, two games of crossfire, but it's fun as fuck. Even though my first game I had three kills and like 5 million deaths.

got to level 69 in sudden death blitz with a friend earlier. Love the Support in Blitz, seem to suck arse with it in Crossfire, though. Probably doesn't hurt that everyone on my team was a sniper.

Assassins can be a pain, but I love using the slam against 'em. Tried to kill my Gunner? Whoops! Down. I can certainly see myself playing this long term, especially since it's ablast even if you don't win.

Looks like Uber plans updates, too.

I really enjoyed the few rounds I played last night. I really despise tower defense, but the tower defense mode (Blitz?) was a lot of fun. I'd prefer to play it with people I know, or people who actually spoke over headset.

I think the game really struggles to let you know how your team is doing. The game has to be patched to let you look at the map of creeps. It's crazy that you can only look at it before you spawn. Other that the occasional framerate disaster, I will continue to play it when I can. Time, unfortunately, has not been on my side for gaming.

The party system seems to do a better job of keeping you together than I've ever experienced in Red Dead Redemption. not knocking the game (Still planning on going back to it and finish the online shit), but the only time you're routinely broken up is when you join a game in progress.

Yesterday afternoon, I was playing in a party for like 5 games in a row, and we were always on the same team except for that first one in progress. Usually only play this in short bursts, but you take the point.

It was funny though. the guy who got seeded to the other team got ganked by all of us. We weren't really teaming up on him or anything...Hell, when I backstabbed him, I didn't know it was him. Oops. :D

He was brand new to the game though, and will probably be better than me by...Sunday.

Sometimes. I mean, the names are there, but not always and often you don't know who you're nailing or who nailed you until you're already done with the nailing process.

I kinda wonder if it's a feature or a glitch. Either way, it's probably for the better. I hate when people go for revenge and get themselves killed like ten times in other games.

Hey BDC, you got lucky. Right after you left Azrael and I went into another game. And I'm not sure why, but everything was lagging like Hell. It robbed me of two kills (and one death) in the final count, and he found out that by the end, he was the only guy on his team. Probably all quit because of the lag. I was playing assassin and knifing the moneyball, and expecting to die any minute, because, you know, the class is made of tissue paper.

LOL. I had that sort of thing happen once.

I did enjoy beating the shit out of the one guy with my sniper grapple though. He was a level 28 and he sent me a message after the match calling me a hacking faggot because I kept killing him while he was cloaked. Does he not realize that if you focus hard enough you can see the outline of the characters running towards you?

LOL. the ones that annoy me are the nudes who can snipe me from a map away while cloaked. The Assassin's cloak is far from perfect close range, though. Not only can you see the outline, you can also hear the sound it makes--assuming you're listening.

there are hackers in this game; Uber's acknowledged it and is working on it. But simply nailing someone who's cloaked ain't hacking. Or even glitching.

They already had one minor update to the game, and say a more serious patch is going through as we speak. So at least they're supporting it.

They also confirmed DLC, but no specifics, except one of the devs kind of implied maps were first.

Which is good. The maps are solid, but there's like, four or five.

All I know KK is that last night BDC and I, along with 2 randoms, totally beasted The Scramble Blitz like it was nothing. Got a buddy online after BDC signed off and it kept putting us on opposite teams so, I got my Pancake achievement to say the very least. Don't think I lost a single game last night honestly.

I got shafted out of MVP. I had the most cash and was on the winning team. Previously, I was on the losing side with the most cash, which I assumed doesn't work.

Now I'm just pissed. I had the most kills on my side and I think the best K/D ratio, too, so I'm not sure what I was missing.

MVP goes to the player in game with the most points. Just kill the shit out of everything and you're set. Turrets, bots, players, fuck up all their days.

"points" being determined by cash, no?

And yes, I was fucking their shit up.

I just messaged Azrael telling him I kicked Xbox's ass, and he was all "who?" So now I'm thinking it was you.

I ganked him twice and pinned him down when he was going after my teammates. Do you have any idea how funny it is to watch a sniper try and guess where your cloaked assassin is?

If he was a team player, I would have been fucked, because someone could have flanked me. But as he wasn't, I was able to get my team's bots pushed simply by keeping the fucker off the other pros.

Very much. It's just insanely hard at first, but once you max out your level and strength, it's a breeze. 2x bionic arm + level 16=Lucas Lee dead in 4 hits on the hardest difficulty, lol.

I'd take this game over COD, GoW, and Halo any day.

I don't know about the "Clearly seeing the other team" part, but I agree on the "realistic" part.

It's noteven that "realistic" is bad, but when every game is mostly brown and/or full of hypermasculine icons for closet gays to imprint on, things get dull. I like the colourful characters, even if "THE WATER THAT SUPPORTS THE JETSKIIIIIIIIIIIII...IS THE SAME THAT ENGULFS IT!" Gets tiresome after the third time.

I also like the simplicity. Given the option, I'd probably make it a little more complex, but not much more, because that would kill one of the best parts of it.

Basically, I bought 2 of the same item in the first level that maxed out my strength, and I've also maxed out Scott's level (16 is the highest you can get in the game), and playing on the hardest difficulty I beat the 2nd boss in 2 hits.

Hey Max, BDC and I just dealt with another couple of obvious cheaters. One kept killing me in my safe zone. and I couldn't do the feedback thing because I hadn't played them. Three games in a row, no less.

If you can't give feedback it's because they are hacking. Regardless if you'd played with them before or not, if you can't see their GT at all, then they are hacking.
