I'm a Bret Hart mark so I'm just enjoying him on TV. But I agree, he shouldn't be wrestling. The match vs. McMahon should have been his last match. His punches look believable (his punches are still quicker and more believable than Hogan's), but he won't be able to take or deliver any actual moves, like suplexes, bodyslams, etc. So I don't see why he's in the Summerslam match unless he's going to turn heel.

I adored Bret many years ago but now it's embarrassing every time he steps into the ring. His match with McMahon at WrestleMania was terrible as was the joke of a title win over the Miz.
I couldn't agree with you more, he shouldn't be anywhere near a wrestling match if he can't compete. He's ruining his legacy by doing what he is doing now.

Its well documented why Bret Hart isn't as great as he used to be but one can see he has improved a bit since he first came back , cathing Edges leg, the sharpshooter on the miz was the best sharpshooter I've seen since Benoit. He seems to have lost weight and is getting a little bit better.

Douche just for saying that. Bret has had 2 strokes and back problems for years. It isn't his fault that he can't wrestle like he used to but I would still rather see him over Hogan or Flair, neither which have ever had the ability to wrestle just the ability to talk. Hogan doesn't sell moves and then hits you with a big boot and a leg drop which he can't even do anymore. As for Flair all he can do is chop you and flop down on his stomach. BORING!!!!! So fuck you for not being behind Bret and cutting him some slack on his wrestling when its medical and not just because he fell off.

I don't even get why people want to see Bret "wrestling" now. He's your hero, fine. If Shawn Michaels had a stroke and couldn't do 99% of what he did before, I wouldn't want to see him in a match and would feel the same way.

The Vince/Bret match did what it needed to do. It closed that chapter of Bret's career officially. That should have been the end of anything related to in-ring action Bret did. Keeping him around in a non-wrestling roll would be fine. But winning titles and being involved in main events in his condition is ridiculous to say the least. If it didn't have such a large focus I don't think I'd have nearly as much problem with it, but the fact of the matter is that he is being put in a high position on the card where he can do jack shit.

Oh I don't really want to see him wrestle at all, I just like seeing him on the mic and make appearances, but because he is wrestling all I'm saying is cut him some slack. He's trying the best he can, I mean before Mania his last match was over 10 years ago. Only reason he can't do what he used to is the strokes and back problems. Love Bret as one of my favorites but do I really want to see him wrestle? The answer is no but I'm not going to knock him or call him boring or as Cock said "a pathetic old man" if he does wrestle and his performance isn't perfect. Just throwing it out there, but maybe the reason he is being placed in the main event is because the target audience could give a fuck about how good of a wrestler he is.

I always found it amazing how Bret became so popular back in the late 80's, early 90's with all the young kids. I know why I loved him, it was because he was the best in ring performer of that era, but the kids? Maybe, he is selling merchandise like a man on fire, and Vince just throws him out there too cash in a little more.

My grandma, with two strokes and no wrestling experience could put on better matches than Hogan. That doesn't mean either of them should be in the ring right now.

As for Batista, he was getting monster pops, while current Bret Hart is getting mostly poor responses. People were even asking what was wrong with people for being all but dead regarding the Hart return angle. For all the Batista hate, it's more justifiable for him to be in the ring.

If only Bret had a choice of some sort.

Bret could probably go if he trained but all it takes is a knock to the head and it's all over. Bret is my favorite wrestler of all time along with The Rock and it's sad to see that he can't talk like he used to and can't go like before but I wish that at least he dyed his hair black so he looked more like he used to and stop wearing the jacket after he came back from the Nexus car angle. Similar to HBK coming back in brown pants and short hair.

It's sad that the pops he were getting were probably from being a Hall of Famer and WWE legend and most of these kids probably were asking others or googling who he was but at the same time it's nice that they researched him and saw how he used to be and all that he did. The best time to come back would have been the year or year after HBK played Bret's music fooling everyone into thinking he was back.
