Just watched Smackdown. I liked him on the mic. I LOVED his entrance. In ring he was ok. Some fluidity problems as he looked a little awkward with some of his movements but that will come in time.

Good debut. I also loved that he had his own announcer.

Yup. I'd already buy him as champ. The guy owned Rey on the mic (not that its hard). Couldn't of said the same thing for Swagger 6 months ago.

Come to think of it, he's the first guy to be given a reasonably big debut in a long time. It's no Jericho debut, but I was certainly paying attention.

There is a diva about to debut soon on smackdown fyi, I am expecting vignettes to be shown soon too. She is a real cutie.

He is much bigger than most of the roster which is surprising.

Also, as far as him being not the smoothest guy in the ring, thats the way he always has been. The guy isn't going to do too much improving, he is 33 and a ten year pro.

I don't care about him not being the smoothest, he can move very well for a guy his size and the execution of that armbar was good.

With that said I think he could do a lot for the WWE. His style is just a little different than what the WWE audience is used to.

Fucking loved Del Rio on SmackDown. I originally thought that he was gonna job to Rey right out of the gate, but his first win was huge for him. I'm glad that WWE put somebody new right into a rivalry instead of the usual 5 straight squash matches. Best debut in a while.

It was a great debut, and I guess we know that there are major plans for him (although you could tell that by the way he debuted and the effort they put in to him). WWE.com has been making some pretty big mistakes lately.

"The Pretty Big Deal" Alberto Del Rio is quickly winning me over. I think a big part of his immediate success is because the WWE knows he won't leave for MMA or anything like that, because he's been there, done that.

Just watched the match. Was pretty good, but damn the comments under the video are hilarious. I'd forgotten how stupid youtube could be.

I found him to be perfectly smooth in the ring and his finisher was great.

Gonna be watching that later, actually really interested after all this talk, especially the fact that he's up against Mysterio (more so the position on the card than facing Mysterio).

Best debut I've seen since the pope hit the scene awhile back. The promo killed at the beginning and he schooled rey in the ring. Forget Mcintyre,Cody rhodes,everyone except Barrett in nexus etc. This dude's the real deal.

Because SmackDown! tends to flow week-to-week better than RAW, as soon as I finished watching SmackDown! I thought the main event I'd like to see the following week would be just that -- Del Rio and Dashing & Dangerous vs. Rey Mysterio, Christian & Hardy. So Rey doesn't have to tap two weeks in a row, and Christian has the injured arm, he can take the arm breaker in the match.

I think my favourite thing about Del Rio so far is the way he smiles even mid-match. He took the 619 in the opening segment, and then he was like "Oh no..." but then was holding his head and looked at Rey with a smile like "You're fucked later." Then he did that smile after chop blocking Rey off the top because he knew what he was going to bust out on him.

I've wanted to see someone debut like this for such a long time. Except in my head it was against Cena, even though that would be more unrealistic.

Del Rio didn't blow his load in his debut, either. He's got some signature moves we haven't seen yet. For example, we haven't seen his springboard kick with his opponent on the top rope yet.

From memory he wasn't taller than Cro Cop when they fought, and Cro Cop is 6'1. Also unless he's put on alot of weight in recent years he'd probably be 210-220.
