WWE newcomer Alberto Del Rio has already developed a bad reputation among those in the locker room. He has complained to fellow wrestlers about the company’s decision to remove the mask he donned while working in Mexico. Many feel he should be thrilled with the push WWE officials have given him thus far rather than moaning.


WWE has fucked over so many good wrestlers because of problems like this. I don't want him to be held back. Hes awesome what do you guys think should happen?

Meh I really don't care for Del Rio he's good in the ring but his mic skills are mediocre in my opinion.

The guy is solid and him complaining about not being able to wear his mask is completely understandable as it's seen as extremely disrespectful to "ditch the mask." He'll eventually get over it but I don't really blame him for at least being disappointed about it. That being said, he's a good looking strapping guy and is most likely more marketable without it. I can see it both ways.

I'm going to give him a few months. I'm betting he'll be better than Drew.

This guy is a star. Everything he does ring wise is good even his mannerisms. He'll get over it and be fine.

Can't say I blame him but he should be satisfied with the instant push he's gotten to get the rub going up against the likes of Rey Mysterio in your debut match is no small feat.

I can understand Dos Caras, Jr.'s disappointment with WWE forcing him remove his mask, which he wore nearly his entire career. Hopefully, he'll return to wearing his mask again.

Did he get to lose it in a match in Mexico at least, like Rey did in WCW?

I can understand why he's upset about losing his mask. There's a great importance on it in his culture. I hope that he understands how special the position he's been put in is, though. So far he's been nailing it, and people have been responding. He's gotten great heat, and his debut was fantastic, in that he actually seems like a credible threat.

It doesn't hurt that he gets to drive a new car each week on tv. I might go as far as to suggest an element of jealousy on the part of others.

He sucks.

He won't. WWE is going to build him to replace Rey so they can keep tapping into the Hispanic audience. He'll probably get more chances than most.

I do believe he has a right to voice his opinion. But at least he is not being like Drew McIntyre who expects everything given to him.

He makes me think of a Mexican version of the Rock meets Pepé Le Pew.

I just think he is awesome I am not much for Mexican wrestlers but I just think he brings the Righteousness and the crush match he had with some Jobber was just awesome.

Nah, the WWE style fits him better without the mask. I don't know much about Dos Caras but the WWE product is geared towards pushing guys with faces.

The mask doesn't fit with his gimmick I like him being the rich Mexican asshole. No just another Luchadore that comes to WWE and then gets pushed to jobber status like we have all seen happen.

Dos Caras Jr. was a huge heel in CMLL.

What was some of his best matches though? I am just getting into mexican wrestling. I just watched Vampiro vs El Mesisas from Triplemania 2008. It was awesome but sucked it ended in a no contest.

I watched his MMA stuff I saw the Belly to Belly suplex that broke that Japs arm. Its was sick.

I think he will calm down after a while and then things will be all right. He is still adjusting and I know WWE fought to get him for a year or so. Him and Danielson could have a great match.

I believe that most people in the U.S don't know what the masks mean to the Mexican wrestlers so they are like "who cares?"

I understand and you are right nobody does or understand a Luchadore losing his mask in mexico is sometimes a death sentence to there career or they find themselves working for Ian Rotten.

Yeah, most of them legitamately cry when they lose their mask.

Very few have recovered and there have only been a few break out stars to make it without masks. Vampiro and Mark Jindrak are only the 2 I know of. I am sure there is more.

Hell he is the Nephew of the biggest and most legendary Luchadore of all time. Mil Masacaras I highly doubt he would have trouble recovering.

It's better he doesn't have the mask, it's just something that is probably a pretty big deal to him. I'd much rather see them keep masks to a minimum, and I like the idea of Los Aviadores coming up to SmackDown!.
