The "They" in TNA!

Hello all, first time poster, long time reader, happy to be finally joining the discussion! :D

The "they" that Abyss refers to, are they the same "they" that Samoa Joe was kidnapped by many months ago? They seem to have dropped that storyline shortly after Joe's return from his kidnapping (or weight drop, whatever you want to call it).

Also, what if "they" was a group led by Goldberg and Batista. Would you be interested in that? They could add Shelton Benjamin, and a few others that are out there. I know it is another invasion angle, but this one might be big enough to put TNA on the map.

Reality is, even if they could pull it off, Hogan and Bischoff would ruin it. Hogan would limp out and throw slow right hands and wipe all of them out then play air guitar and talk about how TNA is where is it at "Brother"!! :|

You just contradicted yourself.

So tired of this conversation. I really hope it's a huge let down just so the fans stop paying attention to TNA's empty promises.

The Pope 09-14-2010 11:30 AM

It's probably more nails to add to "Janice"

Innovator 09-14-2010 11:33 AM

They are the voices in Orton's head

Welcome though.

Schlomey 09-14-2010 12:38 PM

I still think the "they" is Hogan and Bischoff. That would bring the Sting thing full circle when he was trying to expose them before he was suspended. It would also signify the "death" of Hulk Hogan as it would be a "rebirth" to heel Hogan.

Not at all what I want but I assume that is what we are going to get. Mainly because there are zero rumblings about new talent coming to TNA on the dirt sheets....which may mean absolutely nothing of course.

VSG 09-14-2010 12:46 PM

I can't imagine them being the ones to try and bring TNA down and be all evil and shit...sorry...neither are good enough for that.

teamXtremist 09-14-2010 01:09 PM

unless its a great stable of released talent say benjamin, hass, helms, james, carlito etc maybe it be interesting but well see

sadly it wont be long for matt wwe appears done with his bs and fatness

The Pope 09-14-2010 01:13 PM

I don't think they'd hire Carlito after what he said about TNA on twitter.

Swiss Ultimate 09-14-2010 01:23 PM

They are Bischoff and Hogan.

The Pope 09-14-2010 01:27 PM

But They are already there....

bigslimjj 09-14-2010 01:59 PM

Carlito isn't "they",but is "there". From what I've read anyway.

Honestly, when Hogan and Bischoff first got to TNA I figured at some point they'd do some type of angle where they tried/took control of the company from Dixie and all the ex- WWE guys like Anderson and Angle plus some of the TNA heels like Morgan and Samoa Joe would align with Hulk while A.J. and the other then TNA babyfaces would align with Dixie. I think the angle actually could have been pretty good.

If they tried that now with this "They" angle, not only would it be a let down in terms of the surprise, it would be fucking retarded from a logic perspective.

The Pope 09-14-2010 07:05 PM

Do I really need to post it AGAIN?

Does it even matter anymore, "They" = a big disappointment. There is no one big enough that is available in the independent/free agent scene that can fit that role barring paul heyman.

I think the odds of people actually catching on and no longer falling for the hype and empty promises are about as good as TNA actually delivering, Hell freezing over, or WWE PG being accepted by smarks.

The Rock was going to go to Slammaversary like in '04 or '05 but had to cancel because of a movie or something. So it's not like he promises that he would never go.

This is actually a very possible outcome. My cousin, (who watches a lot of Lucha Libre, primarily AAA) recently told me that 'The Sect' has been announcing that they've been recruiting from outside the organization and are planning to leave AAA in order to takeover. It's not too far of a long shot when considering that prior to the B&H regime, TNA did a lot of work with outside companies (NJPW and the such).

While a part of me welcomes the possible introduction of AAA competitors to American television, I can't help but wonder if it would only go to exasperate one of TNA's biggest problems, an overstocked roster. I really wish they would start an hour long program similar to Superstars, I think it would help deal with the vast amount of unused talent the company has at its disposal (This would also be solved by simply getting rid of the dead weight).

This of course can all become moot, especially when considering TNA's recent track record of dropping the ball.

Next Big Thing 09-20-2010 12:25 PM

The more I think about it, the more I feel like they started hyping "They" way too early. There's still another 3 weeks before this is resolved. You don't hype something like that unless you signed The Rock, Austin, or Brock Lesnar because it sets the expectations so high and builds anticipation for something huge.... which sucks if it is "The Sect" because although they are new, something different, and may make a great contribution to TNA, the fans are going to disappointed that it's not a big recognizable name and probably lose interest quickly.

Lol, is that The Demon from WCW in the back? I've mentioned the idea of combining evil wrestlers from "partner" companies. Hernandez is already in AAA why not let a couple others go with him or to NJPW. They could "trade" Ink Inc, Kiyoshi, Rob Terry and get a couple of guys from the Voodoo Murders and a couple from whatever the AAA stable is called now (Basically it's Charlie Manson, Dark Ozz, Chessman, and Mesías from what I can tell). Make a stable of two from NJPW, two from AAA, Abyss, James Mitchell as the manager and a partridge in a pear tree

The members in the team "Secta Del Mesias/Black Family" are Dark Ozz, Dark Scoria, and Dark Cuervo and for a little bit their leader was Judas Mesias.

Well Charlie Manson and Chessman were in a group of 3 along with Cibernetico... but that was called Hell Brothers.
Although when that broke up, Chessman was in the Black Family as well when Judas Mesias was the leader. They then kicked Mesias out of the group and Chessman became the leader. But since then only Chessman appears on AAA tv and the Black Family is nowhere to be found. I think that "THEY" are planning something.

Although I think All of them were once in The Black Family and broke off into two different teams.

The Pope 10-01-2010 12:21 PM

- Jeff Jarrett met with AAA officials in Mexico this past week to talk about doing more talent exchanges. TNA has offered Zorro a contract and he is expected to be in a new stable with Abyss. Dixie Carter apparently saw tapes of Zorro and liked him.

TNA is also interested in bringing in Jack Evans and Extreme Tiger. Jarrett is looking at bringing in more high-flying luchadores to TNA. AAA is looking to bring in The Motor City Machineguns.

Loose Cannon 10-01-2010 12:26 PM

I appluad this and think it's a great move, but like Next Big Thing said, these guys are not well known by prob 100% of the TNA fans, so it might be a mistake. Hopefully they come in super strong

I think they only want Zorro for the stable, not sure about Tiger or Evans. Tiger looks just like Mysterio, almost the same mask.

Who said they are mexican midgets?

Loose Cannon 10-01-2010 02:16 PM

yea, if these guys look like Mysterio, then it wouldn't be very good. lol.

They should of partnered with one of the Japanese Feds and brought in thier guys. They are a lot cooler.

He will be the Champion that night.

The Pope 10-01-2010 02:26 PM

I would like to see Charly Manson vs Abyss or even Tommy Dreamer. I know Manson is capable of actually wrestling but Dreamer and Abyss do all there best work in Hardcore matches. Dixie thought booking Tommy Dreamer against AJ style in a regular match was good idea shows how fucking stupid she really is.

TNA is also interested in bringing in Jack Evans and Extreme Tiger. Jarrett is looking at bringing in more high-flying luchadores to TNA. AAA is looking to bring in The Motor City Machineguns.

Thumbs up for Jack Evans. That's what I'm talking about.

The Pope 10-03-2010 11:48 AM

If they brought in X-Treme Tiger with Relampago it would be an awesome tag team.
