I am happy to announce that we’re doing an Xbox 360 System Update Preview program for our next release, and the opportunity to sign up is now available. The Preview Program will give you the chance to check out ESPN on Xbox LIVE, Zune music, Netflix search, the new Xbox LIVE dashboard, and new updates to Zune video and Family Settings on your Xbox 360*. Much like we did last year, you’ll need to visit the Microsoft Connect site from this link and sign in with your Windows LIVE ID that is connected to your Xbox LIVE Gamertag. Once you complete the survey that is presented to you, the Connect site will notify you immediately if you’ve been accepted. A couple of points before you head off to register:

• We’re looking for multiple thousands of participants, so your chances of making it in are good.
• This is not for Kinect. You will not be receiving a Kinect sensor if you are chosen to participate.
• This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available.
• To avoid any problems, read the survey carefully and double check all the information your provide.
• While both Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up, Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process.

Installed the updated. I'm not sure why they don't want us talking about it publicly. It's just a new look. It's not like it's a huge jump like it was going from the blades to NXE or anything.

Everything looks much tidier now, though. Wish I could change the whiteness of the home menu.

You never know. I only mention this because when there was an MMA ppv stream thread here, we were the only people dumb enough to have an openly viewable thread about illegal MMA ppv streams showing up on google when you searched "mma stream"

I can't get ESPN3 stuff either. Time Warner is currently in a dispute with the ESPN network over how they want to package the ESPN channels, versus how ESPN wants them to package their channels. I'm sure ESPN wants to be on its own package, while Time Warner does not.

I hate all this jockeying between networks and the cable companies. It's a bunch of bullshit. In the end, only the consumer loses.

btw, has anyone noticed that you STILL CAN'T PREVIEW THE GOD DAMNED THEMES?

Don't really buy themes. I get the free ones like the Perfect Dark E3 one, the Halo ones, ones included in games and the ones that end up being accidentally free whenever xbox.com botches shit.

I'd actually be willing to buy if I could see what I'm getting. As it stands, I've bought one for SF4, SSF4, Gears 2 and Fable 2. Luckily all have been decent.

Yeah sometimes. I go to download and the little pop up screen comes up then goes away immediately.

You can't put DLC or awards stuff on. The newer stuff like Reach works, but most of it does not.
