Family Guy season premiere

Hey all last night was the season premiere of the new family guy, 1 hour episode that was a take off of Agatha Christie "Ten Little Indians." Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it?

Xero 09-27-2010 05:48 AM

I enjoyed it, cardsharkrob.

I thought it was different from other episodes and I liked that, cardsharkrob. Less flashbacks and a lot more story, cardsharkrob.

It wasn't on par with last year's closing ("Stewie and Brian"), but I still enjoyed it, cardsharkrob.

Didn't approve

Destro 2.0 09-27-2010 05:32 PM

I watched Dexter instead because it provides actual entertainment.

cardsharkrob 09-28-2010 01:53 AM

Wow Xero could we of typed my screenname anymore in that reply? LOL.

Anyway I thought it was pretty good, kinda started off slow but picked up. It did have the same feeling as "Ten Little Indians" or the movie "Clue"

Destro, yeah i need to look online to find a place to watch Dexter as I dont have showtime

dronepool 09-28-2010 02:15 AM

I enjoyed it.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-28-2010 03:54 AM

Is there any word if this was just a "story" in the Family Guy universe? Are all the characters who died actually dead?

Droford 09-28-2010 04:13 AM

I have not seen the episode yet, but the ads running for it mentioned something along the lines of "someone won't make it out alive" so I assumed they were killing off a character.

Jon Kano 09-28-2010 08:24 AM

I enjoyed it also

Would anyone really miss any of the characters that died?

Xero 09-28-2010 09:30 AM

Yeah, no one of importance died. The only ones really would be (I discuss some other spoilers, too):

SPOILER: show
James Woods, for his occasional appearances, and Diane. Plus it opens up a storyline for Mort as well as an opportunity for Jillian and Brian to get back together.

Honestly, though, I thought the whole thing would culminate with everyone who died still being alive and Woods somehow being behind it.

Also, when Jillian's husband died I thought they were going with Meg as the killer because he said "Man or woman". I know that the joke was meant to not reveal the murderer, but it was such an obvious joke they missed out on.

Ermaximus 09-28-2010 10:22 AM

The killer was not who I expected it to be, but the very ending was so predictable. Fucking loved it though and honestly marked out a lil bit when it happened.

BigDaddyCool 09-28-2010 10:30 AM

Why is she calling me pete?

BizarroKing 09-28-2010 11:04 AM

I'm surprised they only killed off a few people, was expecting maybe 1 or 2 more than who they did.

Joe Kerr 09-28-2010 01:06 PM

Quagmire with the fat chick was hillarious.

Schlomey 09-28-2010 01:17 PM

i just watched it. I liked it a lot. Not as funny but I love a good story! And I always enjoy brian and stewies interactions.

Ermaximus 09-28-2010 01:34 PM

"Oh my God! Why is he wearing shorts?"

Droford 09-28-2010 06:06 PM

I didnt like the extensive use of CGI animation which looked really weird as it wasn't blended well with everything else. It was nice that it was in HD though.

I called the fat chick dying the second she showed up, but Mort's Wife and Dianne dying were surprising somewhat. James Woods dying wasnt surprising because they've played him out as a character about as far as it could go.

I should assume there will be a new Channel 5 news duo? Maybe they should just switch to Channel 7 or something like that.

Xero 09-28-2010 06:13 PM

They already set up Diane's replacement.

Savio 09-28-2010 06:18 PM

I kinda knew Morts wife would die.

Hell Tom should just call the news by himself, he's better by himself.

Ermaximus 09-28-2010 07:14 PM

Fuck that. Make Alli Williams the host of the news.

Schlomey 09-28-2010 07:16 PM

they should see if Morbo is available. :)

I think you mean "Ollie Williams."

Also on another topic, this sunday is part 1 of the season premiere of American Dad where I guess they are going to kill off 100 characters because Stan offers a 50 thousand dollar reward to anyone who can stop Hayley and Jeff from getting married.

So that kinda reminds me of "Smoking Aces"

Splaya 09-28-2010 09:36 PM

When the ending happened, I was like Oh shit, please let it be who I think it was that sniped her.

Juan 09-28-2010 09:43 PM

My stupid DVR didn't record this for some reason. Need to check it out.

Jura 09-28-2010 10:02 PM

Thought it was one of the more entertaining Family Guy episodes in a very long time. FG, IMO has had more misses than hits.

Hanso Amore 09-28-2010 10:12 PM

OH MY GOD ARE YOU HOLDING UP THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN

Is that who you wanted it to be?

Nicky Fives 09-29-2010 08:40 AM

The best part was when they carried Joe up the staircase.....

Ermaximus 09-29-2010 08:47 AM

The only thing I didn't like about this episode was that there was no "Oh a piece of candy" bit with James Woods. Would've loved the chicken being a guest there too tbh.

They should have had the chicken in it, the lights go out, the chicken disapears and then later on Consuella pops in with mini chicken tacos.

that would have been hillarious...or not

and I totally thought Cleveland was gonna be the shooter at the end, angry he didn't get an invite.

Yeah, this was something that bugged me. Easily could have done it with his death. Instead of a box have a chandelier drop on him or something.

Ermaximus 09-29-2010 12:35 PM

"Oh a piece of candy. Oh a piece of candy. Oh a piece of candy. Oh a crazed killer. BANG!"

Would've been great.

Xero 09-29-2010 12:45 PM

Anyone seen the "Banned" episode that was released on DVD yesterday?

Dark-Slicer Diago 09-29-2010 01:20 PM

Which one is that, I don't know what you mean Xero?

It's the one about abortion DSD. I haven't seen it yet, but it'll be on youtube before the week ends.

cardsharkrob 09-29-2010 11:07 PM

actually you can catch it here:

I just watched it last night and i thought it was pretty good. Some funny moments in it.

cardsharkrob 09-30-2010 01:06 AM

Its on there savior. Its under the cartoon section and the title of the episode is "Partial Terms of Endearment". If you need more help finding it let me know

I know I shouldn't be doing this with Family Guy, but... This suggested that he had a signal on his phone, so he should have been able to call or text out.

I suppose they can get around it by saying that Peter is retarded, though.

Xero 09-30-2010 11:29 AM

Just realized that this was one of the UK-only episodes, so it's probably been floating around for a while.

Jon Kano 09-30-2010 12:13 PM

Wasn't going to spoil the party, but yeah.

Yeah, poor Mort. :'( Wonder what he'll do now without Muriel, as Neil's kind of obsessed with Meg, so maybe he could join "the guys" and become like the "token Jew" or something. I mean, you've already got a token fat guy, a token nymphomaniac and a token cripple, which makes only 3 guys, since Cleveland left for his show...why not add Mort to the mix?

DAMN iNATOR 09-30-2010 12:41 PM

Also, the ending bits were semi-predictable (Diane being the actual culprit once Tom pulled the bloodied Golden Globe out from underneath the bed and also some of the end scene), but loved it nonetheless, especially Stewie's ending line: "If anyone's gonna kill that bitch, it's gonna be me!":rofl:

Jon Kano 09-30-2010 12:41 PM

Muriel was a useless character. I think the ONLY funny line she ever had was in this episode about her vagina.

Xero 09-30-2010 12:44 PM

I kind of expected Greased Up Deaf Guy to make an appearance in this episode.

Also, was Stephanie used in another episode? She looked and sounded very familiar. Maybe "I Am Peter Hear Me Roar"?

Jon Kano 09-30-2010 12:46 PM

I'm kinda bored, don't like or think Herbert is funny AT ALL, wouldn't of minded if he was ended.

Yeah, I thought the joke was over when Chris asked "are you a pervert?"

V 10-03-2010 10:34 AM

for some reason I actually liked Diane ><
ah well

Also, Seth said that this episode was canon, incase anyone was still wondering.

Wouldn't count on it, the three prequels?

Or even Seth Macfarlane, being a massive Back To The Future fan, he might spoof them. Not many characters to use though.

I've read that Seth doesn't plan on doing the prequels, but is looking into doing the Indiana Jones trilogy next.

Droford 10-03-2010 09:34 PM

That was funny.

Unless it wasn't.

I cant decide.

I cant wait to see the final star wars spoof. it comes out December 21st on dvd. I might just ask for it for Christmas. Course would be really hard to wait 4 days to watch it lol

yeah it will be on monday night at 10pm i believe.

Tonights episode was pretty good, some funny moments but I don't think it will be all the memorable. Thats just my opinion.

Jon Kano 10-04-2010 05:55 PM

The latest ep, the Rush Limbaugh one. Fucking terrible.

cardsharkrob 10-05-2010 07:35 AM

I agree Jon Kano. I was just soo bored with it. I mean yeah it had couple good moments but other than that I could of done without it.

I did like in the beginning when Tom Tucker introduced the new news anchor and before she could say a word took over talking again

Jura 10-05-2010 12:07 PM

The Brian centric episodes are always boring IMO.

Jon Kano 10-05-2010 01:15 PM

The whole political themes and shit works in American Dad, not Family Guy.

I miss the old golden episodes of season 2-5 of just random, stupid storylines that fit the show and its humor perfectly.

Hanso Amore 10-07-2010 11:22 AM

I love when Brians Canine features are played up.

Staring at the brown bag

Growling when people take his stuff

Barking at dogs in other cars

Chasing ball

Eating puke

Good shit

Droford 10-07-2010 11:31 AM

I liked the HDTV Brady Bunch gag at the beginning

Savio 11-07-2010 09:32 PM

Wish Chris and meg didnt hook up

Nervous Ferret 11-07-2010 09:34 PM

Can't believe Family Guy is still going. I used to think it was so funny. :( Then it sucked and it kept being shoved down my throat and I don't even find the stuff I used to find funny funny NEmore. :(

Hanso Amore 11-08-2010 08:27 AM

Same reason you hate cock?

Xero 11-08-2010 02:43 PM

Feels like the whole Meg/Chris thing was just left hanging with no resolution.

But overall a good episode I think.

wwe2222 11-08-2010 03:08 PM

what resolution would they have to it?

I thought the Halloween episode was pretty damn funny

Hanso Amore 11-09-2010 08:45 AM

Resoultion? it is a fucking comedy cartoon with a talking dog. Watch Mad men if you want resolution.

Stickman 11-09-2010 09:19 PM

The Halloween episode was pretty lousy. No real story or ending, felt pretty blah when it was over.

dronepool 11-09-2010 09:22 PM

I need to catch up. I missed the last 4 episodes or so.

CSL 11-09-2010 09:48 PM

Except for the aforementioned playing up Brian's canine features which always made me laugh, this show makes me want to hurt people. So bad except for the odd moments.

Jura 11-22-2010 12:30 AM

Another unfunny Brian centered episode.

Xero 11-22-2010 10:03 AM

I thought it was quite funny. A lot funnier than the Rush episode.

Juan 11-22-2010 04:29 PM

Brian and Stewie are really the only funny characters on the show.

Sixx 11-27-2010 04:09 AM

That last episode was weak.

Droford 12-12-2010 09:25 PM

I dont think I should have laughed at Brian and Stewie beating the hell out of the parents and duct taping the little girl.

But that was hillarious

Savio 12-12-2010 09:38 PM

yeah that whole segment was funny.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-12-2010 09:41 PM
