Cena at #16 my fucking ass....and Batista at #49? Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.......
Though I think my favorite may be #18....N/A had an epic run.
N/A is clearly Benoit.
LOL, so what the fuck are they gonna do on the DVD? Skip #18? or say his name reaaaalllly fast and move forward as if nothing happened?
Though in looking I'm surprised to see Jeff Hardy's name on the list all things considered. And Ric Flair at #17 is a fucking shame...Cena > Flair? Not likely, in ANY category.

Top 5 is pretty good at least.
I'm glad to see TNA guys actually making the cut, especially Angle. Obviously in a perfect world he'd be top ten easily, but just to have him on there is awesome.

I also have a problem with Cena being above Hogan.
I have a feeling James Steele is gonna be pissed when he says where Trips is placed....ouch.

#18 isn't Benoit. Flair and Dusty tied for #17, and as such there is no 18 by default.
Think of it as in sports. If two teams are tied in 1st place, the next closest team is technically in 3rd place. That being said, I don't know why they couldn't have just put one at 17 and one at 18 instead of making it a fucking tie. |
Hogan and Cena exchanging places makes it a good list.
N/A should have been number 1.
Also this is what they will talk about Beniot should he actually be in it. SPOILER: show |
#9 – Rey Mysterio
Really? I think he's good and worthy of this top 50 list, but not above the likes of Hogan, Flair, Triple H, Henning, Savage and Piper (plus more) |
If we need to complain about anything on this list, we need to complain about them leaving out the greatest wrestler of all time in the WWE. The only man to ever be undefeated in his WWE Career!
SPOILER: show |

Oh and am I the only one interested in WWE putting together a BOTTOM 50 WWE Superstars DVD? Would be fucking awesome. |
My roommate and I were speculating on this when they first announced that the DVD was coming out, basically trying to come out with who had the 50 best WWE careers so, obviously, we weren't thinking about guys like Thesz or Bockwinkel, since they were never "Superstars". This is the list we came up with:
...Shawn Michaels is #1, and when it comes down to it, that's all that really matters.
Wow, as much as I wish the guy was dead, Hogan should be a lot higher up.
And the #17 draw, with #18 being N/A is fucking lame. Come on WWE just pick one guy to be 17 and one to be 18. |
...Maybe #18 is Owen Hart, and they are trying to not add fuel to Martha's fire by not mentioning him "per se".
Too argue this list would be moot. The top 5, for the most part is right on.
This is a horrible list
bullshit list
Hogan's gonna be pissed
Cena over Flair? Give me a fucking break.

Cena above Flair is laughable, Mysterio in the Top 10 is beyond questionable, especially since Hoagn is at #23.... my money is on Hogan being top 10 if he weren't in TNA.....
Awful. Hogan should be at least in the top 10 regardless of what you think of the guy. Edge ahead of Bruno Sammartino? nothing wrong with Edge..but to imagine Edge having more influence than Bruno is offensive.
List lost all credibility at #12. What is the point of fucking the boss' daughter if you are only 15 spots better than The Fabulous Moolah.

There is no 18 because Flair and Rhodes tied at 17, thus making the next number 19.

Benoit Owen Hart And Kane are missin
lol @ Hogan's spot. He'd be Top 3/5 if he was available for the DVD.
Besides the order and ranking of a few wrestlers, the list itself is pretty good compared to other lists WWE does.
Hogan definitely deserved to be in the Top 10 for what he did for the WWE in the 1980s and early 1990s but the Top 5 was a good choice. |
I think Hogan should've been higher, just because he's Hogan. I think Vince did that to piss him off.
Cena over Flair is not ridiculous. It's accurate. This is based on WWE, so all of Flair's NWA and WCW stuff is moot. Looking at WWE accolades alone, Cena is better than Flair.

If this were based on WWE over other promotions, Terry Funk would not be ahead of Hogan.
And Gorgeous George, who never wrestled in the WWWF, is #13.
Exactly, that's my point. It's not based on the WWE career obviously, because Dusty Rhodes wouldn't even be TIED for 17th given the other names.

Honestly, just skimmed the list/thread. I guess this isn't just based on WWE, and thusly, this is a crap list. CARRY ON, GENTLEMEN. |

Everyone make your own list and watch the DVD in that order.

Improvise.

Create them on Smackdown v. Raw 2011 and save the Highlight Reel.
This list is totally accurate.
If McLegend says it, there's absolutely no reason to argue.
No doubt, I stand corrected. I mean, look at his photo. The list is indeed the shit.
I mean who doesn't think John Cena is better than Ric Flair?
I can't wait to tell my grandchildren that I got to see John Cena give the 5 knuckle to Horswaggle. They'll just love to hear that story. |
I musta missed his match with Horswaggle....Clearly this is what bumped him ahead of Flair.
I'm surprised that by now people are still surprised at how fucked up a "WWE Top ____" list is and are pissed off by it.
I still say we need a DVD on the WWE's Bottom 50. Talk about some epic fucking matches.
Top 5
1. Hogan 2. HBK 3. Steve Austin 4. Bret Hart 5. Ric Flair |
Maybe you can compile a list of TPWW's bottom 50, JD. Start a thread asking people to nominate their least favorites ever, and tally up the 50 most mentioned. It could really skyrocket your TPWW career.
Part of me is surprised that Harley is #6, as they haven't always acknowledged his unabashed awesomeness and badassery.
Then I remember, WLW is the unofficial developmental territory for WWE. |
Love the list.
This is the top WWE list, right?
Flairs career in the WWE wasnt that amazing. His best work was for Jim Crockett. Think that has something to do with it? Also, the fact that hogan is not in the top 5 is bleh. |
Buy the 50 they have on the list is hard to debate. Lots of surprises that will be cool to see on the DVD

When it comes to the term "Superstar" instead of "wrestler", my top four are easy.
1. Hogan 2. Rock 3. Austin 4. Flair After that is when it starts to get dicey. |
As much as I dislike him, Goldberg would probably be about next on that list. Talk about a reversal of fortune. :shifty:
this list is booty!! No Taz and SHawn before Bret?
lol Hogan @ 23 makes this whole thing worthless
and nice to see Jimmy Snuka coming in @ #32 for doing basically one high spot.
did they forget Ric Flair was a wrestler until they got to 17? I think Rey Mysterio is a misprint for Sting. I think JYD is a misprint for Lex Luger. I think Jeff Hardy is a misprint for Tully Blanchard. |

Hogan shouldn't be that low, no matter who he is working for.
And I have no problem with Cena being above Flair. Flair spent most of his best years away from WWE. He could have been a lot lower than where he is. But of course, I'm going to complain since Christian isn't on the list. |
worst list ever
No idea what the hell Rey has done to deserve a top ten spot.

Lock Jaw hates Mexicans

Still, he has never enjoyed the kayfabe success that the others in the top 10 did.
Though I do hate Mexicans.
Triple H is rated above Savage. Throw the list away.

WWE fucked up by not getting a hold of the Jimmy Cones' True Pure Average Rank a Wrestler Rankings Spreadsheet.
#1 HBK #2 Kurt Angle #3 Steve Austin #4 The Rock #5 Randy Savage #6 Eddie Guerrero #7 CM Punk #8 Chris Jericho #9 Bret Hart #10 Undertaker It's still ongoing, but I believe the top ten are pretty immovable. I do disagree with TPWW ranking Punk so high. |
Punk could be a solid #7 in about 20 years.
I don't know how anyone can say Cena and Hogan are equals in the ring. Cena is a far better wrestler.
The rest is a whole other bag. Yes, Hogan's legacy and original run was way better, but come on. |
This list also turns into another "define wrestler." Some choices make it seem like they're going by wrestling ability, while others make it seem like they're going by stardom.
Seems like they flip flopped. Honestly, they just threw a list together. These things never really have much rhyme or reason other than who's included. The order is a crapshoot, and never consistent. So I'm good with it. |

I got the Savage DVD the other day. can't wait to watch it. going to be amazing
Terrible list. If it's a kayfabe list, Hogan should be in the top 2 or 3. I'm surprised Triple H is not in the top 10. They may have done that purposely so people don't say it's just because he's McMahon's son-in-law.

I'm sure they're real concerned about whether a few hundred bitchy smarks will cry conspiracy
Triple H's best years and main event rise (97-01) occured before he was romantically involved with Stephanie. Fact.
Maybe he had politicked along the lines, but that's what 99% of champions have done. Unless you're Mick Foley or Chris Jericho, you're probably not on top without stepping on some toes. Get over it. |
Not to mention banging Steph probably had more chance of damaging his career than helping initally.
