Personally, I look forward to this. imo, The 4th movie was the second best next to the original, so hopefully they can keep the improvements over the other 2 going. Not to mention they managed to keep the core cast involved and added The Rock? Now I'm not saying he is a great actor, but he is damn good at his niche in the action genre compared to a lot of the current competition for action stars. And I am pretty interested to see how well he plays a straight up bad guy; I'm not sure I remember a movie where he was legitimately bad and Faster is more of a revenge thing so it doesn't count.

And obviously with them getting the leads from the first and second movies by bringing in Tyrese again, I think this will probably be the last one right here. Seems like they are trying to pull out all the tricks from the whole series for one final go.

so what happened. did everyone realize that they couldn't do anything else besides Fast and Furious and now they are sticking with it. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing everyone back, but it's weird that they all bailed and came back again

Yeah I like to pretend that 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift were not really a part of the series because they were terrible. So I am looking forward to this sequel, and The Rock will be an added bonus

After Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) is freed by Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), they flee the country and assemble a team of their friends and fellow elite drivers to confront a corrupt businessman (Joaquim de Almeida) who wants them dead, while at the same time avoiding capture by a relentless federal agent (Dwayne Johnson).

I got a funny feeling this might be better than what most people expect.

The Rock is taking over the Michelle Rodriguez role.

Sounds like your typical adrenaline junkie 'ooooh we drive around so fast coz we're cool' films.

It never turned out, lost financing, so they left it as the video game with The Rock's likeness.

Wow. This has potential to be the best one in the series.

Getting pretty good reviews with the occasional bad one here and there. I may go check this out in maybe a couple weeks.

This goddam movie was the best of the franchise. Holy shit Rock was fucking epic! I only wish we could get a solid R rating so we can get some really fast and furious driving

This came out in the UK before the US. Weird. Went to see it like 3 weeks ago. So shit.

Gonna go see it in like 30 minutes.

It was fucking awesome. Best one since the original. Ending after the credits definately sets up a next one. Gonna be interesting.

I thought it was pretty good. My only major issue was that the thing I liked the most was the street racing. And they've pretty much gone away from much of that.

This is totally a heist franchise now...

That's why I actually thought 2 Fast 2 Furious wasn't too bad because they had some street races and kept their core story-line. Number 4 seems to have had just one race and then focused on that other stuff while Fast 5 just almost completely done away with the street racing culture element. This leads me to believe the 6th movie will have nothing or next to nothing of that element in it.

Of the 5 movies I believe Tokyo Drift to be the best despite having none of the key characters that made the franchise.

There was a little of the street racing element in 5, but just a little. No real races except for that cop car one.

That's why I said almost. They had the cop car race and that's all. They had the scene where they got the blue Porsche from that guy and when they met Hobbs and his crew which IMO they could have shown the freaking race that Dom won to win the Porsche. Then there's the end race with Brian and Dom but it was CGI. They could have at least shown them speeding away from the starting line then cut to the CGI.
