Really insecure about my music collection
I will be moving to California next year for College and I have a huge music collection. Majority of it has been purchased and quite a good amount of music has been downloaded via p2p. Now I am in a dilemma, whether if I should delete the albums which I haven't purchased or should I just carry them with me?
I am sorry guys but this is really bothering me as of late. Comments and suggestions shall be appreciated  |
Carry them, you've "got the CDs at home", you pussy.
If you're <s>massivly paranoid</s> a massive pussy, encrypt the HD before travelling. |
rip them to your HD you cock
|
I know what to do with my purchased music. I am talking about the music that I have downloaded via torrent. Should I delete them before going to the University or just carry them in my hard drive and not care about getting caught?
|
lol no way you are real now

How would you get caught
As long as you aren't downloading torrents at the school you will be fine |
My fucking grandmother knows more about downloading music than you, I swear to god.
|
Thought this was going to be something really stupid, like you being embarrassed about some of the music you like.
Turns out, it's even dumber. |
Quote:
Seriously, nobody gives a shit where you got all your music. You 'obviously' left all the CDs at home because it would be a pain to travel overseas with. |
You're fine. There is literally no way they can catch you, let alone prosecute you for having mp3s.
|
perfectly possible to buy mp3s online guy

People get caught from torrents and p2p shit, not from simply having the music. |
I am just a really scared and insecure Hindu immigrant :(
|
Stop illegal downloads.

wtf is this
I thought you "knew about computers" or something. wtf is this |
Delete it all. You have no idea how rufless those guys can be
|
TSA now checks your computer for illegally shared p2p music.
|
and because you are a darkie, they will think you stole all the music anyway.
|
The feds won't bust through your windows the minute you start downloading mp3's.
|
Like every person under 40 in the fucking country has an iPod full of music with nothing to prove where it came from, and nobody would ever in a million years give a fuck.
You could get brought up on any other charges and they wouldn't even look at your iPod. You could drop it in front of a cop and he'd hand it to you like any other belonging in your life. The idea of getting "caught" for this is so far beyond the realm of reality I can't even comprehend it. Sounds like something out of a Philip K. Dick story. wtf is this thread? I feel ripped. |
From what I understand I should not download stuff while in America. But it is okay to carry my music on my hdd and iPod. Thank you for entertaining my absolutely random and bizzare query
|
The more I think about this topic the more it seems like proof positive that Guru Dave is a sock.
|
Lol.
|
In India they wear sandals mate
|
OMG LOLz
|
Dr. Dre and the World Wrestling Federation both banned me from Napster :(
|
I've read this thread and I think it was a hugely wasted opportunity to make Guru Dave do something extremely stupid like delete all of his downloaded music and/or burn the hard drive containing said files in a gas fire. Oh well.
|
I was actually planning to do that :nono:
|
sorry but this thread especially guru dave's post got a good laugh outta me

I was planning to toss my hard drive on the bulldozer's path at a nearby construction site :-\
|
And the hard drive is inside the laptop.
|
Pull yourself together, Dave.

GURU DAVE and his HOMIES... taking care of Dave's insecurities.

Blitz you are the idiot.
|
Never understood this whole 'playing something off as a joke' when people are laughing AT you, not with you.
|
Plan B.
|
I present Exhibit A for why this was in no way a work:
Your excitement for The Beatles on iTunes and everyone's unenthusiastic reaction to it. You seemed to genuinely not understand why nobody cared, and went as far to criticize people for not "legally" downloading their music. |
Quote:
|
Nothing about this was 'a work'. You are an idiot for even trying to play it off as such.
|
Whatever makes you happy.

There are better ways to troll Apple fanboys. Which speaks to the fail of your cover-up. |
I don't care. I had a good time giggling at Blitz.
|
Giggling at what? Me calling you an idiot? Me saying that you seem to be so stupid that you couldn't possibly be a real person? Others readily agreeing?
You did the same thing you do every thread. Say something, then when someone calls you out on the stupidity of it, either capitulate and agree with them, or pretend it's all joke. This makes you either a sock, or a very stupid person. Both are sad. |
You think you know me :p
|
No I don't you moron. I know the persona you're presenting to the forum. It's certainly possible that in real life, you're an intelligent, well-socialized young man. In which case your behaviour here is sadder still.

i actually buy stuff that i like. that kind of inflection. also yeah. no way was this thread a work. we're such dumb motherfuckers :lol::lol: |

because you're subconsciously a hypocrite? it's okay, a lot of us are. like upwards of 95%, easily. i say stuff against "groups" that technically include me too. you're not immune, i wouldn't sweat it.
but you can't honestly say something like "well i guess this only matters for people who download stuff legally" without insinuating a) pirates are dismissible and pithy, and b) that you are outside the evil group because it matters to you. |
Quote:
 at the evil group theory. |
okay you might be reading a bit too deep into my use of the word "evil". i -- is it evening worth explaining this to you?
your vegetarian point is lovely, but the fact remains you made two separate posts indicating your passive aggression towards media piracy and then made out like you did not. end of story. i don't even know how this back and forth started. i don't even care penner lol |
Not a big deal.

Apparently people don't own hard Beatles albums where he comes from, but not being excited about arguably the most popular band of alltime debuting on iTunes is hardly indication of being a pirate. Everybody and their brother has access to The Beatles legally. |

Yeah, that could work. That or y'know.... ERASE THE HARD DRIVE. This thread is too good. I think I've read it 5 or 6 times. It's a daily pick-me-up, like petting a dog or a free chocolate bar. |
