Kaval released
http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/kavalreleased
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE SmackDown Superstar Kaval (Brandon Silvestry) as of today, December 23, 2010. We wish Kaval the best in all future endeavors. --- <font color=goldenrod>What a fucking waste.</font> |
Merry Christmas, Kaval!
|
What the fucking fuck?
|
Its a work:shifty: :nono::'(
|
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I give up!
|
But why, God?
|
<font color=goldenrod>They are basically admitting that NXT was completely useless.
Admittedly I saw this coming when he used his guaranteed title match on the IC Title. Why the fuck would anybody logically do that?</font> |

LOL
|
Time to check the Pink Slip Pool.
|
does he go back to developmental (FCW) or is he gone from everything WWE?
|
So while under WWE Contract, he only won four matches. Three on NXT and one on SmackDown.
Though I'm sure according to the WWE it was only one match as he wasn't an official "WWE Superstar" on NXT and all that. |

Why don't they just fire everyone on Smackdown except Kane, Taker, Edge, Rey, Del Rio, Cody, Big Show, Kofi, and McIntyre then? At the rate they keep letting SD guys go, that's all they'll have left.

I wonder if the doors are still open for him in the future, you know.. they just don't have anything for him right now. Shawn Michaels was released in the beginning of his WWE career (because of a bad first impression among the boys). He was back a year later
I wonder if he pissed off Orton. :shifty: Looks like TNA will pick him up soon |
Quote:
|
For all we know, he could have asked for his release.
Maybe he felt he wasn't being used properly or something? :-\ |
Wow. Lame.
|
Quote:
|
Yeah, they jobbed him out back then too Naitch. Only then he was called Low Ki.
|
Quote:
|
Big mistake. Kaval's unique ring style alone would have got him over for sure.
|
Quote:
|
Wow, they guy is a really fuckin goooood wrestler.....Dunno why they would keep Daniel Young and not him.
|
Wonder if this will get as long as the Daniel Bryan Release thread lol
Seriously, I don't think they really ever gave him a chance to get over. I can only see if something happened backstage he got released for but I can't believe they pushed him to actually win NXT only to release him. Shame. |
Quote:
|
Oh well he will be a TNA world champ within a month.
|
I don't understand this at all. He was pretty damn over, and got big pops despite his losing streak.
|
Either something happened or he asked for his release and got it. I never really thought he'd go anywhere in WWE, honestly. He's a ridiculously stiff wrestler and way too small. Two things working greatly against him.
He'll do better on the indies. |
:wtf:
A-Ri gets a DUI, Kaval gets a "future endeavor" on Christmas. |
Quote:
I am such a smart guy. |
This is sad.
|
Quote:
Darren Young? Bryan Danielson? Guru Dave, are you really Baasha? |
Maybe it's a swerve where WWE fucks with you guys by giving a wrestler you guys like a big chance then releases them, then brings them back after a while.

From PWInsider:
We had heard rumors of this the last 48 hours, but World Wrestling Entertainment publicly confirmed that NXT Season 2 winner Kaval, known as Low Ki on the independents and Senshi in TNA, has been released. The word making the rounds within WWE is that the company didn't have any plans for him and it was an amicable parting of the ways, as opposed to the company dropping the former ROH and TNA X-Division champion. It is believed he has the typical 90 day no-compete that would prevent him from working for any nationally televised companies. Kaval was signed in 2008 by World Wrestling Entertainment and spent a good amount of time in WWE developmental, despite being well known for his high level of performance in the ring. A number of injuries hampered him during his time in Florida Championship Wrestling before he was brought up to NXT. |

Another case of the writing team not doing their job.
|
Quote:
|
Did they really do anything post-NXT with him, though?
NXT doesn't matter. It's Superstars with a storyline. |
I don't care. They knew he was going to win, and they didn't prepare anything for it?
Bullshit. |
You don't believe WWE wouldn't do that?
lol oh you. Maybe the guy behind him was fired during the gutting of the writing team. In fact, this is what I'm going with. |

STD just neg repped me for posting Kane's laugh.
Quote:
|
It has so many uses!
|
You we're laughing at Kaval.
|
*were
|
Quote:
Actually, I wasn't, Shadow's post reminded me of Kane's laugh. |
Quote:
They had weeks of time to think of something both short term and long term while he was on NXT or anyone else during season 2 just in case they ended up winning as well. Nexus might end up as the best idea from NXT since it at least guaranteed the rookies would be used for a while except those who got hurt or kicked out (Bryan being an exception since he was guaranteed to come back after being fired). |
Quote:
I think MVP/Kaval was where they were going with both of the superstars. MVP was like 'fuck this I'm outtie' so Kaval was left with no direction. They hot shotted the NXT Season 2 title shot for the IC Championship about 48 television hours away from the PPV, so no hype at all. I should have saw this coming... note: I positive repped coolking to even the rep out after he explained the laugh. |
We shouldn't blame MVP because he wanted to better himself.
Also, Tag Team's aren't just about matching attire and pyro symbols. Kaval & MVP were just sortof thrown together. If they were to become a tag team, it wouldn't have been anything that special. They probably would have lasted around the same ammount of time as McIntyre & Rhodes or maybe less, but without Tag Team <s>Gold</s> Bronze. |
Quote:
|
I agree, MVP is to blame

Its a known FACT that the under team of writers are the one that are responsible for the development of younger talent and their creative angles, and that Michael Hayes is the head writer for Smackdown and that final creative decisions go to and are executed as Hayes' behalf. Hayes is known for pushing currently the more established talent such as Kane, Mysterio, Big Show, and Edge. So for creative to say they didn't have for him i am not suprised. Kaval doesn't match up in Hayes' eyes as someone to be a legit contender in the WHC or IC title scene, than what is there to do with him other than JOB him out and bury talent. Hayes is very select and very picky when it comes to who he puts over and who he doesn't put over. Other than in-ring talent, which Kaval has amicable amounts of, he lacked character depth and the ability to work on the stick. Wrestling ability will only take you so far in the "E". Sure it may have gotten him credibility in ROH and TNA where the emphasis on wrestling ability and talent far outweighs character development but in WWE he fell short. Maybe he needs to re-think his mic and character work and who knows down the road the door might be open for him but honestly I don't ever see guys like Danielson and him having long term appeal ability to the WWE given their current direction and creative team.
|
I! AM! PISSED! OFF! TPWW, start your rioting! TO TITAN TOWERS!
|
I'm too tired from shopping to travel 3 hours and they all left at 5pm.
|
Quote:
Come on look at this and tell me they didn't have anything for him before MVP decided to quit? |
Well this sucks. His offense seemed to be over with the audience, and he always put on fun matches. He'll probably be back though.
|
I knew something was up when he jobbed to Drew the other night, it just didn't feel right. This is a real shame WWE seriously needs to get their shit together it's not a wres.... er 'superstar's' fault that you can't figure out how to properly use him. Hell if anyone needed to be fired it's creative.... *sigh* whatever my complaining means nothing WWE will do whatever the hell they want as long as people continue to watch and no amount of bitching or crying will change that.
|
Fuck me, that's mental man, oh well nice crimbo present there for Low Ki.

Guess I can delete the Kaval CAW on Smackdown vs Raw 2011.

Here, this better sums up my thoughts on the situation

Seriously, WWE wants to make stars, but they seem to want to do it by closing there eyes and throwing random shit at a wall to see what sticks. I'm not saying the fans are always right, but if the fans are getting behind a wrestler,, for whatever reason, be it the in ring style, the mic skills, whatever, it's probably a good idea to roll with it. |
It's a work! This is the beginning of the GENESIS of Kaval! Gonna debut with the rest of the unused NXT Season 2 rookies and tear stuff up on Smackdown until they are given jobs!
|
Quote:
|
Aye, I hope it's a work because he's one of the best wrestlers there.
|
lol that would be funny if they played the EXACT same storyline.
----------------------------------------------------- The writing team didn't use him right because Michael Hayes is racist. |
ricockulous...... I imagine it will be back to ROH for him......
|
wow shit, my mouth dropped legit
|
No reason to watch Smackdown now. I was mostly watching it to see Kaval.
Fuck you WWE. Fuck you and your shit booking and writers. To think i actually thought they were doing "okay" the last few weeks. Serves me right for being so naive. |
Can't bring myself to believe that they had no plan for the guy pushed to win NXT. Gotta agree with Xero (and subsequently, Afterlife) that someone who was behind him on creative got canned.
He was over with the fans, so it would have at least been worth their while to give him a chance to really shine. |
wow just wow
|
From Joey's Twitter:
JoeyStyles If TNA doesn't immediately sign Kaval (who won NXT based on wwe.com fans and wrestlers votes), I've no idea what they look for in wrestlers. |
BULLSHIT!
That pretty much sums up my feelings here. But to elaborate... I wouldn't say he was massively over. The crowd reaction for his entrance was always pretty quite, but they did get behind his inring work. Which is great, right? IMO his in-ring work got him over in spite of the writing team. The guy was booked to lose most of his matches, he barely got mic time, had no storyline put behind him and then cashed in his NXT Winner's title shot on a midcar title. The only way that makes sense is if there is a personal issue between him and the champ, which the writing team never bothered to do. This shit really pisses me off. The guy was different, that is a good thing. |
And as for the 90 Day No Compete...the WWE should have no right to impose that if they release a guy cos they "have nothing for him".
|
It's ridiculous to think that WWE had no idea what to do with Kaval.
Here's me pulling something out of my ass... ADR introduces a masked driver for his vehicle. Alberto Del Rio's rivals suddenly start getting laid out left and right. In a confrontation with say, the Big Show, the driver viciously attacks Show with kicks, chopping him down to set up the arm bar from ADR. Yes, I pulled much of that from the Green Hornet. That's a movie that's coming out and it'll be current enough for fans to see the masked man and think "Kato." It's also an old tv show, so Vince will actually know who the hell the guy is supposed to be. |
Quote:
Gonna mention it a 2nd time: Michael Hayes is a racist. |

Not read through the thread so I don't know if a reason was 'announced' but I'd have guessed he asked for his release. In a really deep voice.
|
It was mutual because they didn't have anything for him.

Evan Bourne must be recovering from injury quicker than expected so they won't need Kaval anymore since the company's star jobber will be back just in time for the next Superstars taping.
|
If they would have kept him with Laycool and had Laycool gradually turn him heel I think he would have worked.
|
Shocking. I'm sure more rumors will come out in the next few weeks. Hopefully, Kaval won't be a dumbass and bash WWE and completely ruin any chances at a return.
|
Fucking lame!!!
|
I know Low Ki will definitely return to ROH and NJPW.
