Former TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong has signed with WWE, as confirmed by Kong today on Twitter.

"My dreams just came true today. I got my dream job. Yes, THAT one," Kong posted.

Kong's post confirms what sources told the Torch on Tuesday that Kong has signed with WWE.

Great news for the division. Kong adds something different and should go straight into the roster. A surprise RR entrant perhaps?

WWE will probably put her in to the Divas division for about a month. After she kills all of the divas ( and I literally mean kills) she will feud with Mark Henry in a big ugly black person match. The winner of which will get a shot at the wwe championship at backlash. Awesome Kong will win the championship and hold it until she retires. Then End.:shifty:

World Wrestling Entertainment is believed to have offered former TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong a contract.

Earlier today, Kong wrote the following on her twitter account: "My dreams just came true today. I got my dream job. Yes, THAT one."

WWE sources indicated that there's been discussion of signing Kong, who left TNA several months back, in recent weeks. One source claimed she had been brought to WWE Headquarters in Stamford about a month back but we were unable to double source the claim.

We don't have an official confirmation of a signing, but sources believed it was pretty much a done deal as of last week.

You'd like to think that since the Awesome Kong - Gail Kim matches in TNA worked they'd use them in WWE. But really im more interested in what her new name will be.

i certainly fucking hope so. would be great for the division if they don't just use her as a one off freakshow and then cast her aside.

She'll get the usual treatment. Monster push as a monster, then eventually be relegated to comedic fodder, Vlad-Khali_style.

I've said it before, but I don't want Kong coming in with a wrestling role. She's much too special to waste in the Diva's division. I want her to be somebody's bodyguard. Maybe add her to Miz's entourage.

This is truly good news. Truthfully, I could see Kong competing with the men down the line. But she's a further improvement to the women of the WWE. If they sign Shantelle Taylor, too, I will be very, very happy.

Have her come in with Aksana or Maxine from NXT. Get over another heel female.

Holy shit, WWE signing REAL talent, and storylines and everything else in general have been great lately.

I'm ok with her, as long as they do not put her in the Diva's division. She needs to be in the ring with a specatacular talent like MsChif to make her matches move past anything more than "other girl throws her entire moveset at Kong, Kong beats her chest like a gorilla, IMPLANT BUSTER IMPLANT BUSTER NO ONE CAN ESCAPE THE IMMMPLAAAANT BUUUSTTTEEERRRR!!!!!111!!!!" WWE just doesn't have anybody that can do that right now, and having her wrestle Beth Phoenix would be kind of a deadlock also. Can you see Beth press / Glam slamming Kong without killing her credibility dead? On the other hand, Beth being fed to the Kong hype machine would be a nightmare also. The Miz bodyguard idea sounds great, if I had my pick that's what I would do.

That being said, how long do you think it'll be before Santino taps that? I want to start a pool.

Mixed emotions about this. Kong is a great talent, but it'll be like giving high class ingredients to a first year home ec class. WWE's standards for divas are just based on titillation and beauty. Now they have this beast, this monster, who can out work a lot of the men in the industry, and what can they do with her?

TNA's Knockout Division actually drew more than the guys for a while. Kong and Kim were a huge part of that. The WWE actually have a chance to produce a female star that actually generates revenue for them.

I think the signing of Kong is so Beth Phoenix can have someone to feud with for a while before she takes on Natalya for the title.

I mean we all want to see a Natalya/Beth feud and match and or matches. Let's make it last before just tossing them into it right away.

I see Awesome Kong going to SmackDown, and since they need more heels, I see her as being a heel. I’d love to see her as Laycool’s muscle for a couple of reasons: 1. an alliance with Vickie Guerrero will allow Kong and Laycool to run roughshod over the Divas, helping Laycool gain more credibility after their loss to Beth Phoenix and Natalya Neidhart, and 2. Kong can eventually turn against them, creating a dynamic of people who cheer Kong to squash them.

I don't see why anyone thinks Awesome Kong won't be pushed hard in WWE.

It's absolutely true that they value "hotness" over wrestling ability. That's evident when it comes to normal women's wrestlers. Looks trump holds in Vince's book.
But Kong is not a normal women's wrestler. She has an incredible presence and size/power, and brings the "wonder of the world" quality to the table.

This is worth more than anything to Vince, in a way. He loves talent that draws based on height or size.
She will have a good home in WWE and probably achieve great things, if she does her part. I don't see them feeding her to the divas anymore than they did with Chyna.

You never know, she may even transcend the gender division and get involved as a bodyguard or singles star with the men. It's certainly not impossible. I think it would be awesome for her to be aligned with a main event or upper midcard star.

And she could straight up tag with someone, rather than just play sidekick. TNA left a potential draw on the table by not having her face Kurt Angle.
Apparently they can't show male-female violence on their program, and didn't want to use a PPV for it.
I'm not sure what WWE could get away with, but a battle of the sexes feud could be huge and I'd buy into it.
They can do better than Chyna-Jarret.

My only problem with this hire is: 'few months ago, they tell one person she isn't hot enough without her mask on and they don't need her (to help fill out an already weak-ass women's division before the title unification), then hire Kong? I'm not saying Kong is a complete hosebeast, but let's be serious here, she's not in any danger of doing a Playboy spread. And I'm not saying this merely due to her size.

I agree 100% that she should go the Chyna/Bodyguard or Jazz/wrestles the men routes. Of course, they likely will throw her in a feud with Nattie after she retains over Melina (like, destroys her immediately after said match). She runs roughshod over the ladies awhile in placeholder piss-break squash matches with no direction or angle. Then, she'll job inexplicably to everyone including the stripped-of-ring-cred Gail Kim, (in what was once a PPV title match but now reduced to "whothefuckcares") effectively becoming the female Mark Henry. She'll then become unhappy and ask for her release.

I'm also wondering if the timing of this could mean she's going to debut before Mania. If she showed up to help someone as a mysterious bodyguard I would mark.
Or even if she showed up in the Rumble

I would much rather see Nattie/Beth at Wrestlemania and Awesome Kong in some other capacity.
I really do agree that aligning with The Miz makes the most sense for many reasons. It's high profile, it's interesting, and it benefits both.
You have her getting involved with a WWE champion right out of the gates, and you have a new champion with a unique twist. It would add new dimensions to whatever feud he's in.

She could physically kick A-Ri to the curb too.

:y: ... and makes a decent showing by tossing out a couple mid-carders before she gets eliminated. That would build some f'n mystique.

She should come in and toss Santino, Kozlov and Khali. In that order

Also, everyone keeps throwing the Miz out there for the bodyguard scenario. Is this only because she has "Awesome" in her name? Let's not forget, Miz already has a "valet" follow him to the ring with a briefcase.

If this type of pairing DOES come to pass, I see it being more with someone like "Dashing" Cody Rhodes. Think about this. A) He'll be paired with a bodyguard (more like face guard) for sneaky wins to move him up the card. B) He'll be paired with a woman who he can say "doesn't look better than him". C) Remember when his old man was paired with Sapphire? There you go, updated.

All we need now is R-Truth to pop up and confront Cody, 'You want your own Sapphire!' and then slap him.

This is great news is they use her correctly, which I think they will, as she wouldn't have signed without some serious talks with McMahon and creative. I can see her winning the Diva's Title on her debut match. I just can't wait to see her fucking bodyslam those stupids whores Maryse and "LayCool" and break their fucking weak, thin little spines with her awesome power.

I absolutely love the idea of her being The Miz' personal bodyguard, the way Chyna was for HBK and Triple H. Her name fits in perfectly with his crew and she could seriously mess some people up and help The Miz keep the WWE title awhile longer.

A second thought is having her be a contestant on NXT and win the whole thing. The only problem is that I don't think the WWE's PG rating will allow for any kind of serious male/female violence, and an Awesome Kong vs. Sheamus match is going to be fucking violent.

Third idea: have her start a Goldberg-like streak in the Women's division. Get her to unify the titles since they simply don't NEED 2 women's championships floating around, and have her dominate the division for several months before a big final showdown against someone where she finally gets pinned.

Too late. They already unified the women's belt into the Diva's title.

Pairing her with LayCool would be fun to watch, but it'd be more of a way to get LayCool over than Kong, I would think. Giving her a Chyna-type role with The Miz would be equally beneficial for both parties, as she could believably dispatch of men and women alike. I even like the Cody idea.

Of course, with so many good options, this can only mean that she'll strictly be put in the women's division on SmackDown and barely used.
