The Jeff Hardy Verdict....

..... Will not be heard until at least 2/16.

From PWInsider:

Jeff Hardy's criminal case received yet another continuance today, reports ProWrestling.net.

The case received the continuance after both sides informed the presiding judge that they needed additional time to "negotiate a potential deal."

The case will be heard again on 2/16. Hardy was not present at the hearing.

Schlomey 01-20-2011 12:28 PM

so sick of this.

Gass 01-20-2011 12:46 PM

I predict death penalty.

Afterlife 01-20-2011 12:46 PM

Sick of what?

Gass Chamber, I assume?

ThePhantom 01-20-2011 01:22 PM

So, is he under probation/house arrest at the present time? If so, does that not count against his jail term?

glanville6 01-20-2011 01:33 PM

Damnit. Isn't this kind of screwing Jeff? He could have served some time by now and been almost done.

Although I guess that would have

A) Effectively ended his wrestling career
B)Prevented him from continuing to do a bunch of drugs
C) Effectively ended Matt Hardy's wrestling career

jskinnyg 01-20-2011 02:34 PM

Boring... & Matt to TNA is killing Jeff's already drug tarnished image... If there was one left...

Savio 01-20-2011 02:47 PM

Hardy was high @ the time

BizarroKing 01-20-2011 03:30 PM

Hardy was supposed to go to court but he got high while watching his bro get into and win a eating contest.

And now presenting Jeff Hardy's new entrance theme:

CSL 01-20-2011 03:36 PM

Brilliant. You should work for WWE. Maybe even the White House.

Nicky Fives 01-20-2011 03:38 PM

You won't hear anything until 11/11/11 if TNA is involved.... lol

Not really. Negotiating a plea deal is a lot more beneficial to Jeff than just letting him go straight to sentencing. It gives his attorney input on the sentence and lets the parties be creative and find a punishment that makes both sides happy.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-20-2011 03:46 PM

And if the prosecution is asking for more time to work out a plea deal, that most likely means they believe they can reach an agreement.

Xero 02-16-2011 11:51 AM

From PWInsider:

Jeff Hardy's latest court hearing took place this morning and if you were betting on another continuance, you would be correct.

Prowrestling.net reported this morning that the hearing has been pushed back to 3/16 as Hardy's attorney was unavailable today due to his responsibilities in another case, where he is defending a client accused of murder.

Pushed back to 3/16? What is TNA attempting to work out a contract with austin? God when will this shit end.

addy2hotty 02-16-2011 02:32 PM

Hardy on 3/16 says 'don't send me down bro'

Sixx 02-16-2011 02:50 PM

Man, would he be popular among the tusks in prison or what?

Swiss Ultimate 02-16-2011 04:24 PM

Hey, does Matt Hardy still have a six-pack? Last time I saw him he did.

Shadow 02-16-2011 04:39 PM

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

RiX1024 02-16-2011 05:06 PM

This guy will never go to jail. I bet they are TNA fans.

Volare 02-16-2011 05:09 PM

Hardy 3:16 says I just did some smack!

RiX1024 02-16-2011 05:15 PM

I heard they are doing a new Jay and Silent Bob flick with Jeff Hardy doing a cameo as a client.

Purgatory 02-16-2011 06:57 PM

What fucking get's me is that TNA put their World Title on him AGAIN. I dunno...maybe they're seeing some kind of 'charm' in him being a fucking dusthead thats deemed "Heavyweight Champion" worthy.

:nono:

itsmeJD 02-16-2011 07:02 PM

You do realize you're talking about TNA here, right? I'm surprised it took them THIS long to put the title back on him. It making no logical sense is usually the angle TNA goes for.

Purgatory 02-16-2011 07:10 PM

Of course I'm not 'shocked' persay, maybe just irritated. I don't watch it that often and when I do they're always doing something completely stupid.

CSL 02-16-2011 07:53 PM

If Hardy was running with his current heel gimmick in WWE, the posters of TPWW.net would be creaming themselves for the most part. It's by far the most interesting he's ever been from a character p.o.v outside of maybe his initial top-line push in 2008.

Xerzes 02-17-2011 12:17 AM

Just go to jail already, stupid druggie ass.

FourFifty 02-17-2011 12:23 AM

I'm pretty sure this is all a work. TNA is going to resign Chris Harris (better known to the wrestling as the first tier Hall of Famer Braden Walker).

It'll come down to the court on a TNA ppv, and when the jury is about to say their finding...

Hardy's going to get knifed by a bunch of guys in bedsheets?

Favre4Ever 02-17-2011 07:38 PM

How could this possibly have gone on for this long?

Dealing drugs - instant heat.

Unless you're black. Than that's just a funny stereotype. Cough, Cryme Tyme, cough.

Xero 03-16-2011 12:27 PM

From PWInsider:

The drug case against Jeff Hardy was continued yet again today in Moore County, NC Superior Court. It has now been going on for 18 months.

The reason was that Assistant District Attorney Warren McSweeney asked Judge James Webb to continue to the case while they await the results of lab tests from the State Bureau of Investigation on some of the evidence that was seized from Hardy's home 9/11/2009.

The sides are both still working on a plea deal.

Volare 03-16-2011 12:35 PM

Yeah, just saw this on NC local news. Even the reporters there asked each other on the air how long this has been going on, and even the weather guy said he thought it was all over with cause Hardy was wrestling in Fayetteville.

DrA 03-16-2011 03:16 PM

This guy is out of control. I pray that his closest family and friends hold an intervention for him.

dingdongyo 03-16-2011 03:19 PM

as much as i hate to admit it... as someone who doesn't watch tna, i'm interested in knowing what finally happens. train wrecks are morbidly fascinating.

BizarroKing 03-16-2011 04:27 PM

Man how long are they going to delay the inevitable? Hardy must have one hell of a lawyer, but sheesh, there's no way this case can get delayed THIS long.

itsmeJD 03-16-2011 04:30 PM

They probably heard about what happened at Victory Road, and are hoping he OD's so they can save the money they would have spent on his prison sentence. Taking care of a mother fucker can be expensive.

Worst. Detox. E ver.

Xero 03-16-2011 09:13 PM

"We can't figure out if this white powder we've had for 18 months is sugar or coke."

dronepool 03-17-2011 12:46 AM

Awesome news that it's delayed again.

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:07 AM

How is that awesome news? Do you want him to die or hurt somebody else, or destroy his life?

dronepool 03-17-2011 01:16 AM

That other poster wants him to die, I like Jeff Hardy. It's awesome because I don't want him to face jail time.

But honestly everybody is a sour puss about him here so the little Troll in me just decides to do the opposite because I "haven't lost respect" or anything. And it's awesome that he was able to go through all these loop holes for so long now. Well, astonishing ios a better word for that.

it's astonishing that he was able to go through all these loop holes for so long now

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:20 AM

I don't want him to die. And I certainly don't really care enough to judge him or get uppity about his life, but he's obviously a wreck.

And it would be nice if he didn't have to go to jail, but he's a repeat deadbeat and he's going to kill himself or somebody else.
Laws and authority isn't ALWAYS big and evil. It's probably for the best.

I just don't see how it's good news for anyone. Fan or not. Just seems like the mentality of not wanting anyone to be responsible or face the music for anything just because you like them

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:22 AM

The internet seems to be full of people who wouldn't care if somebody like Jeff Hardy literally killed another person. They just don't want him to go to jail because he wears the same type of pants as them

dronepool 03-17-2011 01:28 AM

Okay, cool but killing has nothing to do with anything really. Consuming whatever he does and him literally killing somebody is a bit of a stretch.

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:33 AM

What about himself?

You also act like a guy in that state isn't a danger to others. He wrestles for a living, first of all. When other people get in the ring with him, he's supposed to drop them on their head the right way.
If he's strung out to high hell, is that a good idea?

Yea but his outfit is really cool and I like his attitude so I hope he can run from responsibility for as long as possible and who cares if he breaks somebody's neck

I'm not even going to bother with this because you have made your point clear over time on this forum that you don't really care about or understand a lot of the dynamics of things.

In the other thread you posed the question of why he can't just wait until after the matches to get ripped. He's a hardcore drug addict. Wake up.
You're just either clueless or trying to take a FTW approach because you think it proves something against society or authority.

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:38 AM

This forum really pumps em out sometimes

dronepool 03-17-2011 01:49 AM

Calm down, this gets you a bit too worked up.

I get what you're saying and it is a good point. If he wants to do what he does, he should learn to control himself and cut back. I understand what addiction is, I know addicts aren't ones to always think logically. Personally I prefer he get an option in getting help and doing the rehab bit and going on parole or something instead of jail time.

I come to this board for fun. It's just when certain people act like self-righteous pricks (not you) it annoys me to a point where it's amusing to take the "FTW" approach on here.

Jeritron 03-17-2011 01:59 AM

It's not like I'm smashing my keyboard and sweating in anger here. I'm no more worked up than you.
I just think your response to the situation is short-sighted at the very least.

dronepool 03-17-2011 02:08 AM

Well, yeah I agree it was. But it's not like I'm *really* gonna get pissed and smash the computer if he gets jail time or jump up like Daniel Bryan won the world title if he goes scot-free.

I'm not even a hardcore fan I just liked the guy since 98' or 99'.

Xero 04-20-2011 04:39 PM

lol, getting ridiculous.

From PWInsider:

ProWrestling.net is reporting that TNA star Jeff Hardy's criminal case once again received another continuance at today's hearing in Moore County in North Carolina.

===

Today's scheduled hearing in the criminal case against former WWE and TNA champion Jeff Hardy was continued because Hardy's defense attorney asked the Judge for additional time in order for Hardy to be assessed for whether he needs treatment for drug dependency. According to North Carolina newspaper The Southern Pines Pilot, Becky Carlson, the district administrator for the 19-B J.D. Sentencing Services Program, is scheduled to assess Hardy. Since she has just taken on the case and would need to assess him as well as get a second opinion, that process has not yet been completed.

Should Hardy's assessment turn up that he needs help for a drug dependency, it could lead to a plea deal that ends the criminal case against him.

A hearing is now set for 6/27, according to the Pine report, which you can read by clicking here.

Xero 04-20-2011 04:41 PM
