I hope it's Sting. You figure if it was Taker, they would have shown a logo or something. Also, they normally don't debut new guys during Mania season, so I think Sting fits. Would be awesome for him to challenge Taker the night after EC, Taker answers through his mindgames, and Sting continues to build the match through his creepy appearances/promos. I'd have Taker's first appearance be AT Mania, and then after defeating Sting, he moves onto his Barrett/Kane business.

...that's if it is indeed Sting lol...

I think it very well could be a well-known name instead of someone coming through FCW. WWE rarely debuts new faces between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. The only I can think of in recent years is Chris Masters.

Actually, it may not be Black. He's not that great on the mic, and if WWE is actually giving someone build up, they've got to at least be able to talk decently... Unless they give him a manager, which would be for the best.

you internet ROH fanboys are even more delusional than usual if you think the WWE is gonna hype up the debut of an undersized ROH spot monkey like tyler black. not to mention nothing about tyler black is scary/intimidating that would go in line with the promo we've seen.

Give it a couple of weeks...it'll be abundantly clear as these promos progress if it'll be 'Taker or not.

Anyway, the style of the promo would fit Black's look. It would make sense, especially if it's not Sting.

If it is indeed Sting i'd like to see Jim Johnson do his own rendition of this Crow theme that would be great can only imagine how badass it would sound.

Most obvious choice is Taker.

I wonder if WWE purposely made it ambiguous so they can try for sting, and just fall back on taker if they don't get him.

Skippord mentioned it could be Tyler Black, which would suit him quite well.

well after watchin the clip on raw, it definately fits in with Taker and Sting. The long black coat the guy is wearing instantly made me think Sting but Taker is due back for mania, Sting i believe is out of contract so that would be great to see especially as Mania has been said to be WCW themed but im not sure i like Sting signing for WWE so late in his career

yeah its blatantly gotta be taker or sting as a result of that last promo.

As someone said it would be epic if Sting came to the WWE to "dig up" Taker, maybe to side with him against kane or perhaps to prove who the greatest really is

It was a surprise return to the rumble as Diesel. Perhaps they could keep him off TV for a while and re-package him a bit?

you fucking moron, CM punk started as a bottom-rung scrub on ECW and did not have promos running for his debut months in advance. and CM punk has 10 times the talent of this tyler black scrub.

Some random thoughts:

*Taker's promos ALWAYS feature his face. He sells tickets. Hiding him makes no sense.
*The person in the promo video is walking faster than Taker would.
* Sting's debut/return promos almost always have darkness and rain. (Compare it to the Starrcade video)
* WWE only obscures the person when it's a BIG name being signed.
* The upcoming wCw special needs talent. Sting almost defines WCW in the prime stages.
* Getting Nash and Booker to sign over TNA is telling. It's quite possible they swayed Sting in much the same way.
* Bret Hart once swore he'd never step foot in a WWE ring ever again. We saw how that turned out (to the naysayers about Sting claiming he would never work for Vince).
* There have been rumblings about WWE wanting Sting for WM 27. Perfect opportunity to drop some cash.
* How HUGE would it be to sign Sting, the one big name in the industry that has never been seen in WWE?
* How HUGE would it be to have a Sting vs. Taker match?
* The debut is taking place on the night after EC. If Sting shows during the event and screws someone, it would seriously ramp the RAW rating.

If you've ever seen the promo's with Undertaker/Kamala, Undertaker/Yoko, they showed taker building the coffins at his workshop, that's what I thought the building was in the promo is Taker returning to where it all started for him.

Which is much different than say, having a cryptic mystery introduction on the Raw AFTER the Rumble, and a Debut after the PPV right before WM, which is crtainly going to lead into a WM appearance.

He's clearly wearing cowboy boots. Neither Taker nor Sting wore/wears cowboy boots. But that doesn't really mean anything, they're still the top two obvious choices.

Though it did make me think of that movie Taker has been or was tapped for, about the "origins" of the Undertaker character. About an undertaker in the 1800s or something.

I do think they should pay sting whatever he wants to make this happen. Sting vs Taker with the streak on the line, with Sting going into the Hall as well, would make this perhaps send this into top 3 WM events all times in Buys.

I hope its not Sting. I've always been a huge Sting mark and I like that he never once wrestled in the WWF/E. It's irrational as a Taker/Sting feud would be great but I just hope Sting's first only appearance in the WWE is when he's inducted to the Hall of Fame.

Was Albert Del Rio's vignettes only on Smackdown? I think unless it's a big name they wouldn't show these things on Raw anymore. Plus if it's a new guy they would probably show his face and not be so mysterious.

I hope its Sting. Whoever said they usually dont hot debut a rookie on the road to Wrestlemania is spot on. Sting vs Taker would be perfect, and next year wrap it up against the face of the WWE John Cena. That would be going out big, because you know next year they would book Cena to look like he can break the streak.
