Wrestlers who never got a heel turn

Ricky Steamboat is the name that comes up the most, but I believe Rey Mysterio has never been a heel. Are there others?

Boondock Saint 02-04-2011 03:36 PM

Rey was a heel with the Filthy Animals, I believe.

Lavel 02-04-2011 03:54 PM

Bruno Sammartino

Jakob Synn 02-04-2011 03:56 PM

Was Jeff Hardy ever a heel in the WWE? I don't quite remember. I'm not a big fan of his so I can't quite remember him during his last year in the WWE because his TNA run is blinding me.

The Hardys were heel with Doc Hendrix.

MoFo 02-04-2011 06:10 PM

Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and arguably RVD.

Was the Ultimate Warrior ever heel?

RVD was a heel in ECW
and technically a heel in the Alliance

Lara Emily 02-04-2011 07:07 PM

Warrior was a heel when he a Sting teamed very early in his career

Sixx 02-04-2011 07:16 PM

BigDaddyCool 02-04-2011 07:38 PM

Gillberg

The Spanish Announce Table

If Gillberg and Colin Delaney are considered wrestlers in this thread, then the SAT should be as well. At least it has the right amount of legs for god's sake...

Sixx 02-05-2011 08:26 PM

Lovin' the name "Disco Apocalypse".

Disco Apocalypse 02-05-2011 08:27 PM

And I'm not some new user going out for a Sunday troll.

I just think it's crazy to consider Gillberg and Delaney as wrestlers with any gimmick or personality where a turn (heel or face) is possible... hence the comparison to a inanimate object like the SAT.

I will say however that the MIC has had heaps of heel turns...

I can't take any credit for this, it's my wrestling name according to:

http://www.wrestlingname.com/

To be fair, I added in my middle names, because it first came up with Jack Cobra. Too many bad memories of Jake the Snake... :nono:

Loose Cannon 02-05-2011 09:01 PM

Xero 02-06-2011 11:07 AM

I'm honestly surprised Vince didn't turn Eugene.

Only in wrestling can a retard be a heel.

Ultra Mantis 02-06-2011 11:18 AM

Gillberg turned heel on Goldberg during his feud with The Rock.

XCaliber 02-06-2011 04:46 PM

Eugene actually did have a brief heel turn cuz I remember him snapping and kept saying to himself that he was special.

Thought id imagined it.

D Mac 02-06-2011 05:26 PM

What about R Truth? Was he ever a heel in TNA as Ron Killings or as K Kwick?

Ultra Mantis 02-06-2011 06:36 PM

R Truth was a heel as Ron Killings in TNA. Kofi Kingston and Yoshi Tatsu might qualify though.

Lock Jaw 02-06-2011 08:34 PM

Yeah, Eugene beat down Hacksaw Jim Duggan, yelling "I'm special!"

But then the next week it was dropped.

I also remember Shane Helms/Hurricane teasing a heel turn once before actually turning heel, leading to everybody here going STAND BACK, THERE'S A HEEL TURN COMING THROUGH for months.

Juan 02-06-2011 08:36 PM

Wasn't Helms a heel when he first started the whole Hurricane thing?

He turned on Duggan and turned heel for like a month LOLz

  • After the match, Eugene hugged Jim Duggan and then snapped and viciously attacked Duggan with a 2X4 to the throat!

Nah next week he tried to cash in the bounty on DX, so still kinda heely then he disappeared

Xero 02-06-2011 11:03 PM

Actually I'm beginning to remember something about that. Pretty sure they got some backlash because the character was going heel.

Juan 02-06-2011 11:43 PM

Tito Santana?

MoFo 02-06-2011 11:50 PM

Were The Bushwackers ever heelz?

Xero 02-06-2011 11:56 PM

Pre-WWF they were.

The Kiwi Sheep-Herders...

Makes me sad that this seems to be the only New Zealand wrestlers that ever made it to the WWF. At least they weren't called the Sheep-Shaggers I guess... :shifty:

I can't recall any of these guys appearing on WWF/E since Wrestlemania 6 (i.e. when I started watching wrestling), although I would have watched about 0.02% of all programming in that time period.

The NZ accent would stand out on TV as much as Sheamus' skin methinks...

Meh... FA's were SUPPOSED to be heels, but were so over, they were never really accepted as such. Kinda like the Wolfpac.

Not so much, but they were DEFINITELY heels when they turned on him and joined "the starmaker" Gangrel.

He was going by "Hurricane" (as opposed to "Sugar Shane") when he first got to WWE because of that stupid policy of two performers not having the same first name, since it's "confusing" and Shane-O Mac was around. He got the idea (kayfabe) from Austin in the Alliance. Austin said something to the effect of real hurricanes "tear-assing" through stuff, which lead to him pushing Steve to the side and uttering "Stand back, there's a hurricane comin' through" for the first time (albeit, less cheesy and more bad-ass sounding). The superhero thing didnt come until a little later in reference to his being a Green Lantern fan/having the tat. They made him like an obsessed fanboy who thought he was a superhero, and it took off (heh) from there.

I dunno, the table is a tweener IMO. I will happily take out heels and faces alike.
