Edge for sure. The Rey-Del Rio feud is done. The rest of the guys are heels and they won't do heel vs. heel at WrestleMania. Unless someone turns which I don't see right now.

Dolph Ziggler is the only other choice, as Vito said. It's very possible the WWE will switch the belt to him via screwjob, and build up a multi-man match for the SmackDown! side of things. It's also very possible that Edge will defy the odds, win the match, and lock his spot for WrestleMania against Del Rio. That's what I'm going with.

Don't worry, the "Ugh" wasn't aimed at you. It was aimed at the thread in general. Another poll and a poorly executed one at that.

The trend with recent Wrestlemania main event seems to be one world title as a singles match (at the end of the show), the other as a triple threat or fatal four way (in the middle). Last year's Wrestlemania being an exception...

Since Cena is the flagship, he'll main event, leaving a triple threat for Smackdown in the middle of the show. Ziggler, you'd assume, would be the 3rd man, inserted into a Del Rio vs. Edge match via Vickie. Ziggler is not getting the title yet.

So, EDGE for the win at EC. Just the thoughts of a three-time, three-time, three-time poster ;)

Also, can everyone please lay-off ooTin? It's obvious something happened in his childhood that is making him struggle with basic tasks today... and I don't think we can really blame HIM for that.

Thanks. The only person that has really responded to my posts so far is ooTin (probably because I took the piss a bit). I felt somewhat guilty, until I realised that ooTin is the Chavo or Charlie Hass equivalent in tpww, so, meh, who cares... gotta find the main jobber quickly, right?

Edge will retain to face Del Rio at WM and 19 of you already know that.

Rey winning and facing Del Rio would have a better buildup for the match at WM then with Edge and I think the match would be awesome too.

Except that they've already faced off so many times that it doesn't really feel "special" anymore. The build and the quality of the performances could make it, sure -- but Edge vs. Del Rio seems the easiest and most logical route.

Disco is way better than ootin! They are obviously not the same person because they are fighting with each other :shifty:

$10 bucks says Vicki Guerrero ditches Dolph for Del Rio to make it even more interesting.

Edge will win. They're not going to build on an Edge vs Del Rio feud then change it one month before Wrestlemania.

Pft..1 week of buildup isn't going to make or break it if they decide to go a different direction.

Chavo and Haas had talent... just not enough of it to make a difference. Shelton on the other hand...

I can totally see that happening. It's the exact sort of "all their heat in one basket" thing the WWE would do. Especially with Del Rio being built up in a bit of a rush.

A while ago, I posted my half-fantasy, half-expected WrestleMania card in a thread, and I suggested that Dolph Ziggler splits up with Vickie Guerrero prior to WrestleMania and gets put in a match by Vickie to "punish him." I'm still thinking that could happen, only Ziggler ends up in Money in the Bank. I enjoy the Vickie/Dolph pairing, but how many cracks can Dolph have at the World Title before it's time for a new challenger? And then what is the point of his relationship with Vickie? Guerrero was meant to take Ziggler to the top, and she's given him that opportunity, and when it doesn't work, what else is there for them to do together?

That's why I can totally see a Dolph/Vickie break-up in time for Mania, and possibly even a half-face turn for Ziggler. By that I mean I don't think Ziggler will stop being a heel, but he'll become "cooler," and we'll be encouraged to cheer for him at times, to test the waters for an eventual face turn. They'll also probably put out a t-shirt for him at this time.

If he loses the heat machine, he'll be future endeavored before the year is up.

Nah, don't think so. The guy is dynamite in the ring. At the very worst, he'll be a career mid-carder. And I don't think that is in the cards for him. The man can cut a decent promo (his backstage on about Kofi Kingston being a career challenger, and that's why people get behind him) was brilliant. He seems to eat, sleep and breathe wrestling. He's been with the WWE for years now, and always manages to look credible even while taking some sick bumps to make guys look good.

The guy will go through at least three or four failed face/heel turns before they eventually decide to release him because he "hasn't capitalised on opportunities."

A fun little bit of trivia about Dolph Ziggler: The man has appeared on WWE TV on and off for about six years now. He's always played a heel.

I'm also thinking that we just may end up with a Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre match at WrestleMania. Vickie Guerrero has just fired Kelly Kelly, and it makes sense given the storyline between them, that Drew McIntyre goes to bat for Kelly. Ziggler isn't likely to be in the World Title match at WrestleMania, nor is Drew (who I can see catching on as a face), and while they both would be very easy to lock for Money in the Bank, I could also see the Vickie vs. Kelly stuff leading to Dolph vs. Drew.

If they really wanted to put asses in the seats, they'd have Edge win at EC and then have Del Rio vs Edge set for WM, only to have Christian come back and get put into the match to give you that triple threat match for the title at WM.
