*******SPOILER******* DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE SURPRISE IS!TNA IMPACT
So Sting is the new TNA World Champion.... wow just wow. Yes Sting was the surprise and they also aired a promo for 3-3-11... yeah I know. This title is losing a lot of prestige due to the fact it has changed hands 3 times in the last month. Not that it had much to begin with. So let talk about why TNA continues to kick themselves in the ass and why is Sting champ right now? Also, why do they keep repeating everything they do?
|
That's fucking awesome. What the fuck are you talking about with your TNA kicking themselves in the ass bullshit?
|
This is why this place is so retarded sometimes. You didn't even bother to think about what you're posting. Just saw it was a TNA story so you automatically say "LOL TNA fucks up again LOLLOLLLLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" like a mindless fucking sheep.
|
People are still going to claim that Sting is coming to WWE.

Hell fucking yeah!! Stinger back on top with the throwback old school look! Fuck the starter of this thread. I'm hijacking it.This is now a tribute to the Stinger.

No its not
|
Look I like sting, and I can understand that they needed to get the belt off of hardy but why sting? Why not a younger guy. TNA used to be all about the young guys, The X-Division was amazing... now its all but gone.
|
Awesome, Sting won the title. What a wonderful decision by TNA.
|
Or just let Anderson Hold on to it and let sting win it off of Anderson, they are just throwing the belt around like its worthless, and that is what sting is wearing around his waste, a worthless belt. So if I was a huge Sting mark, then I would be upset that he is TNA Champ because what does that add to the Stinger? Nothing. He is way beyond that belt.
|
I can't wait for Sting to defend the TNA championship against The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Obviously 3.3.11 is when he'll debut on Raw.
|
This is great for TNA. Fuck off, haters.
|
but....but....sting is still gonna be inducted into the hall of fame before wrestlemania right?

It's a fine move by TNA. Sting is hot right now so why not put the belt on him?
In all honesty it's not going to matter who has the belt anyway. It's gonna get fucked up either way. |
Wait wat.
I thought this wks Impact had already been filmed. I didnt see this on teh spoilers. |
Dunno. Seems like a "lol WWE didnt sign Sting, look hes still here" kind of move.
|
Sting in TNA is not as exciting as Sting in WWE period
Sting is the last WCW guy to never wrestler for WWE, that's why people were excited. |

So Sting didn't want to work for WWE because he's a pussy born again Christian and what they use to stand for wasn't for him, but works in TNA no problem?
Huh? |
Get the belt off the god damned drug dealer.
Mr. Kennedy/Anderson whatever can't draw. Sting = money therefore.... Sting becomes World Champion to RESTORE credbility to the championship. |

You people are missing the most important thing - apparently being the only guy to never work for Vince is worth it even if you have to wear THIS jacket:
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/9676/newsting.png Go to WWE and conceivably headline Wrestlemania, or go to TNA, dress up like a gay mime, and win the Smoking Meth title belt. Steve Borden, I salute your conviction, if not your business acumen. |

It's a smart move by TNA. Ever since WWE started those 2-21-11 promos, people have been talking about Sting left and right. Then just days after all of these ridiculous "Sting is coming to WWE" claims are finally proven to be false, TNA gives the title to Sting. Very smart move to have the champion be someone that everyone happened to be talking about all month.
But TNA still sucks. |
Steve Borden is a fucking moron.
|
I honestly don't know if I want to continue posting here after reading this thread. So what if Sting stayed in TNA. He never said he was going to WWE. Like it was said, he's the hottest name in wrestling right now and showed loyalty to TNA and their fans by staying. Puting the belt on him is a great move. Kinda sick of everyone being too cool for everything lately. Just fucking enjoy what's happening for what it is, because obviously nothing is going go ever meet your expectations anymore.

TNA did the smart thing and capitalized on a mass delusion and now they have the most talked-about world champion in wrestling without having to sign another WWE reject. |

Wish The Rock would come back/The Rock is stale and using the same material. Cena needs to go back to his rapper gimmick/Cena's promo was shit, The Rock's last week was better, why did he even rap. We want Sting back on TV/Sting didn't come to WWE so now we hate him, ever more because he won the TNA title. Why would they even do that? This is just from the last week. |
Def gotta watch this next week. TNA seems mind-numbingly stupid everytime I've watched it lately - but this sounds like something they actually got right. Eager to see it.

For the record I never gave a shit about him coming to WWE either, so I'm consistent :p

I'm not too fond of them taking the belt off Hardy a week or 2 after he got it back since he's been great since turning heel, is currently more interesting than he's ever been and I'm a mark for a long term heel champion but I'm definitely glad Sting is back on TV.

2. That was Cenas best promo in a long ass time. Eventhough it was a little lame give credit where credit is due. It was better than usual. 3. We dont hate Sting. We just want to do something worth wile. |

Rumor has it that Steve Borden was close to signing a deal with WWE but failed to accumulate any steam after Nash and Booker T returned.
Sting doesn't want to be a part of any kind of WCW/TNA Invasion into WWE. He wants to write his own history. I firmly believe that Stinger will end up in the WWE sometime this year, but it will be on his terms, when noone is EXPECTING it. For the people who feel he will remain in TNA for good, just remember, if you're old, your swimming isn't too good, so you might want to get off the ship safely before it drags you under. |

Somehow this entrance gear of Stings out bedazzles the two classic ones. Good move by TNA now my watch is set to see how long it takes before they fuck this up and we fall right back into apathy mode. |
Wait did TNA just have their big announcement also include another big announcement with the "3-3-11" ?
Sting as champion isn't bad but Hardy shouldn't have gotten the belt back soo quickly if he was going to just drop it a week or two later. Although TNA was dumb enough to give him the belt while his drug case was still in court. |

I'm not here to bash TNA or go back and forth with someone in some stupid argument.
Putting the belt on Sitng? no problem. Sting's always been over with the crowd. He'll always be seen as a top guy and can help get people over. No issues there what so ever with me. But here's the thing that has always irked me about TNA . I feel like they try so hard to slap Vince and the WWE in the face whenever they get the opportunity. They've been doing it for years and years trying to appease the internet fans. Whether it be signing WWE "future endeavors" or mocking the WWE in skits or whatever. And I feel like this was no different. "ha ha ha, everyone thought Sting had signed with Vince, so now we'll show everyone that he's our champion. This will give us big ratings. And we'll run a 3-3-11 promo just to spite them..." Problem is only the internet fans played into the rumor. Sting's hype will die down within a few weeks and TNA will be trying to figure out thier next big move. I think it's a cool moment and will be fun to watch. But this is what TNA is. They are a company that lives off of surprises and "capitalizing" off WWE misfortunes (or not). You just kind of look at them and go "Ok, Next" |
WOW Dont know who just say that 3/3/11 Promo but it was an obvious rip off of Takers return promo. Like so similar that WWE may sue.
|
No Sting this week BTW
|
I dont even care about TNA anymore Sting winning doesnt change anything for me. They have the talent but terrible writers.
|
the 3 /3 video was a complete ripoff of wwe but you could immediately tell who it was so it was really dumb
|
Warrior > Sting. That is my $.02
|
TNA Blows.
I Like Sting. |

ROFL, just saw the end of Impact with the promo for 3-3-11, CLEARLY supposed to be a rip off of the 2-21 promo. Like, there's no second thoughts about that.
While there's no problem with TNA putting the title on Sting and even pushing him, I completely agree with LC. This is a "LOL HEY VINCE LOOK WHAT WE GOT!!!!!111!1!!" moment. When WWE wasn't even going in that direction! THAT'S why TNA is pathetic. Again they unintentionally push WWE. I'm sure they think it was so clever to do that promo, when in reality it's stupid as fucking hell. They're also, again, as LC said, marketing to the internet crowd, which isn't who they should be marketing for because THEY ALREADY HAVE THEM! And if they don't, if they're someone like me, I'll tune in when I hear they do something good. When I hear and see this all I think is "why are you doing this?" They need to A. Market to the casual and potential fans who don't follow the internet and B. Stop living in the shadow of WWE so blatantly. |
Usually, when trying to push a product, you do everything different than your competition, and furthermore, you try to distance yourself from them as much as you can, therefore, you do NOTHING that will remind the customers of the competition...
...yeah... ...TNA does everything the other way around. In trying to beat the WWE, they rip-off the WWE, and in doing so, remind the fans of the WWE. |
shut up haters
|
The 3-3-11 thing is a prime example of why I can't stand TNA most of the time.
|
If while claiming to be "the alternative", you act the same way as the others, then you're not really an alternative.
|
Quote:

WWE might actually have grounds to sue over that, honestly. It's definitely not under "parody". It's blatant rip-off, and they never showed who it was. Could say they're misleading fans into thinking it's The Undertaker.
I don't think WWE will do anything, because all it'll do is bring attention to TNA, but I think they have the grounds. |
I think that if TNA went live and were able to actually surprise its audience, it may make a bigger impact. I mean what the hell is the point in teasing a 3/3/11 return when we already know who it is....
|
Quote:

Like they don't have enough stuff to sue over, ie Robbie E/Zack Ryder, most of the ECW stuff last yr, doing storylines where their stars get accused of going back to WWE (Christian & Angle) etc.

I don't have a problem with what TNA has done with this 3.3.11 promo, and if it was the other way around, and we all need to admit Vince would do the same if that was the case, everyone would be saying how hilarious it was for him taking the piss out of TNA. Good on them for having a win occasionally I say. Am I a TNA fan? No. Will I watch the show? No. But I just feel that no matter what they do, TPWW will always feel the need to hate on them. Cause we're too cool for the company. |
There is clearly someone looking down at him from the top of the stairs. WHO IS THE SECOND MAN?!
|
Quote:

you're kidding me right? Vince hasn't ackowledged TNA one time since the company went into business. How do you even make a comment like that? Vince is about to make bank in a month, so I really don't think he'd be salivaitng over how to make TNA eat it
And how is this a "win" for TNA? It's that thinking that has caused TNA to be in the same fucking place for years. What does TNA gain out of getting Sitng back? What a half a point for a couple of Impact's? Give me a break. |
That's Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo right there. Always trying to make an ass out of Vince McMahon and the WWE, and they are the ones who always end up looking bad.
|
Quote:
This is why TNA sucks. And like I said for most people Sting coming to WWE Exciting, never before seen, big stage Sting returning to TNA again been there done that who cares, small stage |
Quote:
And why would Vince do something TNA did? If he was in TNA's position (distant number two) of course he would, and it would be pathetic. But I honestly don't think WWE would actively go out of their way to copy a TNA promo so blatantly. And if they did? Honestly, I don't know how I'd feel about it. Probably would laugh it off. But again, I could NEVER, as the distant number 1 promotion, see WWE do something as blatant as this. I give TNA credit where it's due, and this promo is NOT one of those times. Will it ruin TNA? No. But to me it makes them come off as second rate, and that's not a good thing. They should have left things as is and just had Sting appear on the broadcast with no build. It would have had more impact. |

I see what you did there |
Yeah ok so maybe I'm going off rumors, but I'm pretty sure it was confirmed a while ago that they were reaching out for him. And while WWE may not have openly acknowledged TNA on TV like TNA has them, they have in other ways.
My point was purely that there is too much TNA hate here. And this angle isnt that bad, and going off and calling them pathetic for it is just ridiculous. |
Maybe I'm not a big enough smark to post here anymore
|
Blatantly ripping off 2-21-11 is sad and pathetic.
